Chapter 39: Wilderness (Part 2)
Jin Chi’an drove the land aircraft swiftly through the forest. Before long, he arrived at the cave where Felix was.
The moment he saw that big white ball of fur, Jin Chi’an’s heart trembled instinctively. Immediately afterward, he met the white tiger’s cold eyes.
“Rr…”
A low growl came from the white tiger’s mouth.
Felix pulled Puff, who had been lying to the side, back beneath his paws and held him tightly in his arms, refusing to allow anyone near.
According to the shared-sense connection between a guide and their mental body, a mental body enveloped in another person’s mental power could not be forcibly recalled into the consciousness sea.
Seeing the white tiger treating Puff as his possession, Jin Chi’an sighed helplessly. He released the mental tendrils that were slowly recovering and broke into Felix’s consciousness cloud.
“Felix, come here.”
The familiar voice entered the white tiger’s ears from Jin Chi’an’s direction.
In an instant, the white tiger’s pupils contracted. He tentatively carried Puff to Jin Chi’an’s feet, sniffing carefully to distinguish the two people’s scents.
Looking at the white tiger, whose guarded expression hid a trace of bewilderment, Jin Chi’an smiled helplessly. He crouched down and pulled the tiger’s head into his arms.
“It’s me, Felix.”
Jin Chi’an gently lifted the tiger’s head and tenderly kissed the reddened corner of his eye, softly confessing, “I’ve been looking for you too, Felix.”
As the figure in his mind gradually became clear, Felix immediately recognized the person crouching before him, the person he had been waiting for all along.
Only after a long while did Felix pull away from the embrace he longed for, staring blankly at Jin Chi’an.
Slowly, the awareness in his mind was replaced by a beast’s instincts.
Felix’s pupils contracted sharply. He bit Jin Chi’an’s clothing and tried to drag him into his own den.
“Felix?”
Seeing the white tiger’s unusual behavior, Jin Chi’an clearly panicked. He skillfully extended several branches of mental tendrils, trying to cover the other party’s consciousness cloud and investigate what was happening.
Before he could find the answer among those complicated mental pathways, a wave of red light gradually entered Jin Chi’an’s eyes.
The mental brand behind the white tiger’s ear was now stimulating Felix’s brain nerves like countless fine needles, causing the white tiger, who was already in a frenzy period, to lose reason.
By the time Jin Chi’an’s mental tendrils broke free from Felix’s consciousness cloud, the white tiger’s body had already pinned him underneath.
And a certain unspeakable part was now excitedly raised at a very inappropriate time.
Looking at the barbs above that were forcibly and slightly restrained, Jin Chi’an fearfully grabbed the fur at the white tiger’s neck and begged in a hoarse voice, “Felix, change back, okay?”
“Rr.”
The white tiger growled lowly in resistance to his request. He raised a paw and hooked Jin Chi’an’s clothes. With only a little force, the fabric separating the two of them could cease to exist.
Seeing the beast before him, completely lacking reason, Jin Chi’an’s hands trembled slightly. He gently stroked the painful spot behind the white tiger’s ear and once again invaded his consciousness cloud, reading the white tiger’s current thoughts.
In those hazy thoughts, a figure similar to himself had his back turned to a little white tiger, gently and dotingly smoothing the fur of a tabby cat.
“This spot is only mine.”
Hearing the big white tiger’s jealousy-filled words, warmth spread through Jin Chi’an’s heart. He kissed the golden totem brand behind the white tiger’s ear.
“I know, little tyrant.”
…
The next morning, a piercing ray of sunlight entered the cave and fell across Jin Chi’an’s face.
Feeling the sunlight seep through his closed eyelids, Jin Chi’an slowly lifted them and tried to turn his body.
In an instant, waves of pain spread from his waist and lower body through his whole body. Jin Chi’an could not help pinching his fingers and looking toward the culprit beside him.
A white tiger was lying beneath the stone platform in the cave, eyes fixed on Jin Chi’an’s movements. He wore an aggrieved expression, quietly waiting for him to speak.
Jin Chi’an found his appearance increasingly amusing and could not resist teasing him.
“Do you remember what you did yesterday?”
Felix lowered his head, his eyes dodging away as he tried to avoid Jin Chi’an’s gaze.
Only when Jin Chi’an’s voice interrupted his attempt to turn and flee did he stop.
“Felix, your frenzy period is over. Why haven’t you changed back into human form?”
