Don’t Bite My Spiritual Form – CH38

Wilderness (Part 1)

Chapter 38: Wilderness (Part 1)

As the throbbing pain in his mind gradually weakened, a gentle mental power slowly spread through Jin Chi’an’s whole body.

Feeling that mental power coming from the outside world, he suddenly found it especially familiar, as if he had experienced it before. It filled him with an incomparable sense of nostalgia.

Wrapped in that mental power, Jin Chi’an finally relaxed and fell completely asleep.

He did not know how much time passed before a warm, wet sensation spread across his back, neck, and head.

When he opened his eyes again, an enormous white tiger appeared in front of him, licking and grooming his fur as if he were a precious treasure.

“Mm.”

The barbs on the tiger’s tongue scraped across the Maine Coon’s sparsely furred ear. Jin Chi’an, already extremely sensitive because his consciousness cloud had suddenly reconnected, was licked until it hurt.

Jin Chi’an slowly opened his eyes and pressed down on Felix’s head, soothingly licking the tip of his nose. He tried to communicate with him using mental tendrils.

As the mental power Felix transmitted to him gradually grew denser, Jin Chi’an felt as if his originally aching head had been stretched open and soothed, reducing the sharp pain caused by forcibly connecting to his consciousness cloud.

“Felix.”

When Jin Chi’an’s voice entered Felix’s consciousness cloud, the other party first froze, then began licking the fur at the back of Puff’s neck even harder, as if trying to smooth out the fur he had bitten into a mess earlier.

“Move, Felix. You’re getting my fur wet.”

Jin Chi’an helplessly used his forepaws to push away the tiger in front of him. The moment their eyes met, Felix’s reddened eyes, carrying a trace of distress and disarray, were completely exposed in Jin Chi’an’s field of vision.

Realizing something, Jin Chi’an hurriedly extended his mental tendrils and forcibly broke into Felix’s consciousness cloud.

The messy pathways of his consciousness cloud were throbbing violently, and the mental energy stored inside was currently being transmitted into Puff’s body in a continuous stream.

“Felix, what are you doing?”

Jin Chi’an split his mental tendrils into several branches, trying to locate the place where the zerg attack had cracked Felix’s consciousness cloud and stop his behavior of constantly consuming mental power.

“Stop, Felix.”

Jin Chi’an angrily smacked the white tiger’s head, trying to call his reason back.

But to the enormous white tiger before him, the kitten paw’s attack was like a tickle. It was not enough to make Felix feel even the slightest pain.

A moment later, sensing the abnormality in Felix’s consciousness cloud, Jin Chi’an instantly panicked. He felt a cold, sharp aura spread from the white tiger’s body.

Felix had completely lost reason. He had turned into a primitive beast, picked up the Maine Coon who had fallen into his jaws, and sprinted wildly through the forest. In the end, he carried the dizzy Jin Chi’an back to the cave where the two had first met.

Sensing that the teeth biting his neck had loosened, Jin Chi’an came back to himself. He propped up his weak, powerless mental tendrils and began soothing the white tiger’s consciousness cloud.

But because he had only just reconnected to his consciousness cloud, Jin Chi’an’s faint mental power could not support several mental tendrils performing guidance at once. As a result, the white tiger was still in a frenzied state.

Jin Chi’an exhausted all the mental power he could currently use, but in the end, he only managed to tidy up a tiny corner of the other party’s consciousness cloud. He could only continue comforting him in frustration.

“It’s okay, Felix. Look at me.”

While sending his voice into Felix’s consciousness cloud, Jin Chi’an tried to use this method to call back a little of the other party’s reason.

But this method did not seem to work. Felix’s pupils had shrunk into tiny circles, staring straight at Jin Chi’an as if he wanted to tear him apart and swallow him whole.

This abnormality drew Jin Chi’an’s attention too. Controlling Puff’s body, he instantly panicked and used all four paws to prop himself up, trying to escape the white tiger’s territory.

Clearly, Felix would not give him the chance to run. The instant he stood up, Felix raised a forepaw, hooked the kitten’s body, and pulled Jin Chi’an back into his embrace.

He completely ignored Jin Chi’an’s desperate struggles and began licking every part of the kitten’s body.

Jin Chi’an, pinned beneath the white tiger’s paw, did not have it easy either. His completely controlled body could not make even the slightest movement to resist.

Only when the barbs on the white tiger’s tongue swept across the kitten’s sensitive areas did Jin Chi’an call out hoarsely, utterly powerless to resist.

“Felix, please, don’t lick anymore.”

“Mm…”

“Put away the barbs. It hurts…”

The “meow, meow” cries entered the white tiger’s ears. The incomprehensible language made Felix interpret the pushing of those paws as cooperation.

The white tiger, who had completely lost reason, was left only with slideshow-like fragments of memory.

He only vaguely remembered that the man in his memories liked kissing his body very much, just like what he was doing now.

“Felix, please… this body can’t…”

After struggling many times, Jin Chi’an, who was already physically uncomfortable, completely lost strength. He lay powerless beneath the white tiger’s body, unable to resist.

Until his consciousness gradually became fragmented, his vision slowly blurred, and the little white tiger he had been longing for slowly disappeared amid this strange change.

When he saw the surroundings clearly again, experimental instruments covered his field of vision.

The mental-linking instrument beeped repeatedly, reminding him of where he was.

Jin Chi’an pressed the button, and the instrument that had originally enveloped his head slowly opened. The scene of the laboratory also entered his sight.

But unlike before, the mental instrument was now surrounded by several familiar people.

“Chi’an, are you all right?”

Aphrodite, standing on the left, was the first to speak. From his somewhat panicked expression, it was not hard to see how worried he had been earlier.

“I’m fine…”

Jin Chi’an instinctively rubbed the skin at the back of his neck. The image of being pinned and licked by the white tiger just now was still vivid in his mind.

“How is it? Did you find Felix?”

Lin Chuan anxiously asked about the result, pulling Jin Chi’an out of those awkward memories.

Jin Chi’an, finally coming back to himself, nodded. He sensed the connection with his consciousness cloud and activated his shared senses with Puff.

Immediately afterward, the scene in the forest appeared in his eyes again.

But compared to his nervousness from earlier, his mental body, Puff, seemed exceptionally experienced.

Even facing a white tiger several times larger than him, Puff still held the upper hand. While actively responding to the white tiger’s licking, he used his forepaws to grab the white tiger’s head and excitedly licked the fur on the white tiger’s face.

Startled, Jin Chi’an hurriedly cut off the connection with his mental body and repeatedly processed the physical changes brought by that instant of shared senses.

After quite some time, he awkwardly squeezed out the words, “Found him. He’s on Unnamed Planet Three in the SN701 star region.”

“Can you confirm that?” Aphrodite asked.

“Mm, I can confirm it. My mental body is there.”

After receiving a definite answer, Aphrodite turned and ordered the soldiers stationed outside the laboratory, “Notify the military. Assemble a special operations team and proceed immediately to the third planet of the SN701 star region.”

“Father!”

Before the soldier could leave to pass on the order, Jin Chi’an hurriedly called out, “I’m going too.”

Aphrodite frowned, somewhat unwilling.

“Your current physical condition still needs observation. It would be better for you to stay in Iskan.”

“I know my own body. Please let me go with them.”

Jin Chi’an looked firmly at Aphrodite and answered his hesitation.

“Felix’s condition is unstable. He’ll need me there.”

Seeing that Aphrodite was still hesitating, Lin Chuan, who stood beside them, spoke up to help.

“Don’t worry. I’ll go with him and won’t let him act recklessly.”

Under the two’s combined insistence, Aphrodite had no choice but to compromise.

“We don’t understand the SN701 star region. Avoid excessive fighting as much as possible. Find Felix and come back.”

The aircraft heading for SN701’s third planet was equipped with a concealment device, which made the Iskan army’s infiltration effortless.

Under Jin Chi’an’s guidance, the group soon arrived at the forest where Felix was located.

The instant the aircraft landed in the forest, a tiger roar from not far away, carrying powerful mental force, froze the soldiers’ movements.

“What is that? A wild beast?”

The captain of the leading unit supported himself against a nearby tree. Under the pressure of that powerful mental force, he forced himself to stay standing and blocked Jin Chi’an, who was under military protection, inside the aircraft.

However, while everyone else was dizzy from the attack of that mental force, Jin Chi’an seemed completely unaffected. Under the protection of several soldiers, he stepped out and sensed the direction of the mental-power source.

As Jin Chi’an connected to the mental shared senses, Felix let out one last low roar toward the outside of the cave, then turned and returned to Puff’s side, affectionately licking his fur.

Puff, once away from Jin Chi’an, was like a wild horse off its reins. He expressed his fondness for the white tiger without hiding it at all. Under the other party’s intense advances, he still kneaded comfortably and let out purring sounds.

Faced with this scene, Jin Chi’an’s ears flushed red with embarrassment, and he instinctively clenched his hand.

This appearance of his happened to fall into Lin Chuan’s eyes, earning a disdainful tease from the other party.

“A mental body’s behavior is entirely based on its owner’s wishes. Why are you blushing? Isn’t this exactly what you want?”

“What did you say? You were peeking at my consciousness cloud?”

Jin Chi’an looked at Lin Chuan behind him in shock.

The other party merely curled his lips, looking completely indifferent.

“I’m the doctor, and you’re the patient. I have the right to observe changes in your consciousness cloud.”

Before Jin Chi’an could argue with him, Lin Chuan stuffed a medical kit into his arms and gestured toward the cave where the mental power had come from.

“Are you still not going, little intern Jin? Are you sure you want to leave your little cat alone in a cave with that white tiger who knows no restraint?”

“You…”

Jin Chi’an looked at him, hesitant to speak. In the end, under the strange shared-sense experience, he surrendered.

Under Lin Chuan’s odd gaze, Jin Chi’an finally snatched a single-person aircraft prepared by the soldiers nearby and sped away toward the cave.
