Don’t Bite My Spiritual Form – CH49

Final Chapter (II)

Chapter 49: Final Chapter (III)

District Fourteen, the Bone Burial Ground River Valley.

Amelie and the troops she led had already reached the forest near the valley.

As several whistle notes sounded, the beastman soldiers were all affected by them to varying degrees. Just as the illusion formed by the whistle was about to enter their consciousness clouds, Amelie unfolded a massive mental-energy defensive net, blocking the whistle’s hallucinogenic effect from invading any further.

Seeing the pained expressions on the surrounding soldiers’ faces gradually fade, Amelie slowly lowered her guard and split off a small number of mental tentacles to search for the mental-energy fluctuations within the river valley.

In the southern part of the forest, a large amount of Zerg mental energy was continuously gathering.

At the very center of those Zerg mental-energy fluctuations, two mental-energy signatures belonging to beastmen instantly caught Amelie’s attention.

But before Amelie could investigate further, rustling sounds came from the surrounding jungle.

Immediately after, an energy-gun shot tore through the air. Amelie dodged, but the shot still grazed the outside of her arm.

“Roar!”

The lion beastman beside Amelie was the first to detect the attacker’s hiding place. He let out a lion’s roar toward the forest where the attacker was concealed.

Realizing that his hiding spot had been exposed, the attacker stopped hiding. He shot out from the towering jungle in one swift movement, the particle blade in his hand stabbing straight toward Amelie.

Amelie instantly came back to herself and withdrew her probing tentacles, attempting to force her way into the attacker’s consciousness cloud and stop his next move.

But just as her mental tentacles were about to reach his consciousness cloud, a mental barrier net belonging to a human guide blocked her from the attacker’s consciousness cloud, neutralizing all of Amelie’s counterattacks.

As the particle blade closed in before Amelie’s eyes, a white figure suddenly darted out from the forest to the south and bit down on the attacker’s arm.

Around the white tiger’s neck, a cobra with empty, unfocused eyes was draped casually over him.

Following the familiar mental energy coming from the white tiger, Amelie instantly determined that the mental energy wrapped around his consciousness cloud was the one Jin Chi’an had left behind to reinforce his barrier.

Before Amelie could call out to him, the beastman soldiers she had brought had already crowded around the white tiger.

“Marshal!”

Surrounded by the soldiers, Felix loosened his teeth from the attacker’s arm and turned to give a glance to the wolfdog soldier beside him.

The soldier understood immediately. He bit the cobra draped over the white tiger and instantly gained himself a large scarf, excitedly spinning around in place.

Faced with the soldiers’ careless, rough-and-tumble behavior, Amelie frowned in disapproval. Her heightened vigilance also allowed her to detect that there were still mental-energy fluctuations in the area.

An attacking mental tentacle struck toward them. After a brief moment of distraction, Amelie immediately extended her own attacking mental tentacle to counter it.

But the other party’s powerful mental energy made her resistance seem exceptionally weak. In an instant, he severed her mental tentacle.

Enduring the sharp pain from her consciousness cloud, Amelie released more mental energy to fill the gap in her defenses.

At the same time, a juvenile mammoth appeared in her field of vision. Immediately after, a human guide with golden eyes appeared before her.

“What is this…”

Amelie received the information fed back through her mental net in disbelief. The powerful mental energy coming from that person was exactly the kind she knew well—the mental energy unique to the imperial family’s optimal fusion bodies.

Under Amelie’s terrified gaze, the mammoth that only she could see swung its long trunk and wrapped it around a hyena beastman.

To everyone else, the hyena beastman’s body seemed to rise into the air for no reason. Under their incredulous stares, he lost consciousness.

Felix, who had only just escaped the aliens’ pursuit, reacted first. The guide’s mental energy wrapped around his consciousness cloud allowed him to vaguely see the mammoth’s invisible body.

As the mammoth’s trunk loosened, the hyena beastman fell to the ground.

Felix’s pupils abruptly contracted. He glanced at Charles on the wolfdog’s back, then ordered the captain beside him, “That guy should wake up soon. Follow him and go support the imperial royal guards. Leave this place to me.”

After receiving the order, the captain ran to Amelie’s side.

“Ms. Amelie, we…”

“I’m staying here.” Before he could finish, Amelie cut him off. “I’ll stay and support Marshal Felix.”

Understanding her meaning, the captain did not stop her. He nodded at her, then led the soldiers south.

After only a short while, only three people remained in this part of the forest.

Still in beast form, Felix looked toward the human guide. After staring for a moment, he called out the other party’s name.

“Ostha.”

“Good memory, little white tiger.”

Hearing Ostha’s response, Amelie froze. Then she released mental tentacles, collecting his mental-energy information.

Facing the other party’s powerful mental energy, Amelie quickly retrieved from her optical brain the information the military had gathered from the imperial palace banquet incident.

From the memories extracted from 003, Ostha’s information quickly appeared in her mind.

Ostha. Kashmiler second-stage alien. Code name 001. Belongs to the first batch of second-stage aliens. A batch with no consciousness-cloud fusion rejection reaction.

“Why does this thing have an imperial consciousness cloud?” Amelie watched the mammoth’s movements warily and asked Felix.

But Ostha was the one who answered first.

“That’s something you’ll have to ask your student about, Teacher Amelie.”

Ostha studied Amelie’s expression with great interest. His tone carried a chilling edge.

“If he hadn’t destroyed my original body, I wouldn’t have needed to fuse with a second-batch member of my own race. Rejection reactions are not pleasant.”

At the mention of Jin Chi’an, a fierce glint flashed through Felix’s eyes. His extended claws hooked into the scattered branches on the ground.

Seeing him take an attacking posture, Amelie was about to stop him, but Felix flashed to Ostha’s side.

Before his claws could touch Ostha’s body, the faintly visible mammoth trunk swung toward him.

“Marshal Felix!” Amelie’s warning had just left her mouth when Felix relied on the faint perception within his consciousness cloud and dodged the attack.

Immediately after, the mammoth’s trunk swung toward the two of them again. Felix happened to evade the strike, but unexpectedly, the target this time was Amelie beside him.

The mammoth’s trunk wrapped around her body, completely restraining her movements.

Just as she tried to release mental energy to attack, Ostha’s mental energy surged toward her, suppressing all of her mental attacks.

“Tsk.” Felix bared his fangs, his eyes fixed tightly on Ostha’s movements.

The other party revealed a meaningful smile, released a powerful mental pressure to restrain Felix’s movements, and carried Amelie into the depths of the forest.

As the mental pressure weakened, Felix broke free from the restraint and chased after the direction Ostha had gone.

…

Inside the Iskan starship, Jin Chi’an, who was speaking with the Lord of Hundred Birds City, suddenly felt a wave of powerful mental energy strike him. He frowned in discomfort and pressed a hand to his aching temple.

“brother-in-law, are you all right?”

Seeing Jin Chi’an in pain, Edwen immediately panicked. He transformed into a silver wolf and anxiously circled around him.

Only after a long while did Jin Chi’an feel the pressure inside his consciousness cloud gradually ease. He then asked Edwen beside him, “What’s the current situation in the river valley?”

Edwen paused, then replied, “According to the mental-energy detection, the Zerg mental-energy fluctuations in the river valley are gradually increasing. The batch of aliens that retreated from the Empire has most likely entered District Fourteen.”

“Is there a gap in District Fourteen’s outer defenses?” Jin Chi’an looked at the increasing Zerg mental energy on the screen and narrowed his eyes.

Edwen said, “No. We suspect that there is a teleportation device left behind by the aliens in the Bone Burial Ground river valley area of District Fourteen.”

“Tsk.” Jin Chi’an clenched his fist irritably and rubbed his index finger. “Can we contact the troops who entered the Bone Burial Ground?”

“We can’t. The starship headquarters lost contact with the soldiers as soon as they entered the Bone Burial Ground area.”

Edwen explained helplessly. Just as both of them were at a loss, the Lord of Hundred Birds City, who was sitting across from them, slowly stood and took a small twig from his pocket.

“I suspect we can detect their location through the energy of the sacred tree core.”

Under Jin Chi’an’s expectant gaze, the Lord of Hundred Birds City continued, “They need the sacred tree core extract to manufacture suitable hybrid vessels. We can determine the location of their hidden base by tracking the energy of the sacred tree core.”

Jin Chi’an looked at the twig in his hand and ordered the soldiers in charge of searching at the command post, “Synchronize with the sacred tree’s energy and proceed to the energy source immediately.”

…

At the center of the Bone Burial Ground.

A massive amount of extract was being drawn from the furnace that was melting the sacred tree core. Inside the laboratory of the zerg starship that had fallen into the river valley, several aliens controlling high-bloodline imperial bodies had gathered. Through the replacement and fusion of their consciousness clouds with the sacred tree extract, they finally reached rebirth.

At the center of the command platform, 000 propped up his chin and admired the masterpiece before him.

002 scanned the data on the screen, then reported to 000, “The rejection-elimination experiment for the second batch of our kind has been completely successful. Now we only need to wait for them to control the Empire’s high-bloodline bodies and complete the experiment in batches.”

“Oh, really?” 000 chuckled. “Where has that fellow 002 gone again?”

“He went to chase that white tiger.”

“Looks like he still can’t forget that hound.” 000 curled his lips and looked at Afloti and the others, who were being restrained by first-stage aliens. “What a pity. If we could find the mental brand transferred by the Seventh Emperor, that would be perfect. A beastman with progenitor blood is not something you see often.”

Under 000’s scrutiny, Afloti’s hands were bound behind him by a severed tentacle. His entire body lay weakly across the back of an unconscious hound beastman.

Around him and several beastman soldiers, the tentacles of a few first-stage aliens formed a cage, trapping them within the aliens’ attack range.

Afloti kept his eyes shut, feeling the wounds left by his battle with the aliens stubbornly refuse to heal. Powerless, he gave up resisting.

Just as the pain in his head was about to make him faint, a voice belonging to Charlemagne VII entered his mind.

“Afloti.”

The long-lost youthful voice entered his consciousness cloud, and Afloti abruptly regained his spirit. He was instantly pulled into an illusion deep within his consciousness cloud.

He found himself back in the tower where he had lived as a child. A boy who looked extremely similar to him was lying before the small hole in the wall, constantly calling his name.

As hunger struck, Afloti lost focus and followed the source of the voice, arriving before the hole.

Just as he was about to faint from long-term starvation, a flightless bird flapped into his arms.

Afloti instantly became alert, transformed into beast form, strangled the bird, and immediately swallowed it whole.

Only after his hunger was filled did Afloti finally hear the boy’s voice outside the hole clearly.

At this time, Charlemagne VII was still childlike. He excitedly introduced the food to him.

“This was sent by a minister from District Fourteen when he came to present his tribute. If you think it tastes good, I’ll have them bring more next time.”

After the young boy finished speaking, before Afloti could return to his senses and respond, a warm touch came from the back of his neck.

When he turned around, he saw Charlemagne VII dressed in imperial robes, pinching the back of his neck as though controlling a slave.

Afloti’s heart tightened. Just as he was about to struggle, he saw Charlemagne VII release his hand and give him a smile that held no threat at all.

When Afloti looked into his eyes again, only then did he notice the helplessness hidden within them.

“You…”

Afloti was about to reach out and grab him, but Charlemagne VII took a few steps back and raised a finger to his lips.

“Don’t speak. Listen to me first.”

“We haven’t spoken calmly in a very long time, Afloti.” Charlemagne VII curled his lips. “Your soldiers have already approached this area. This is also my last chance to speak with you.”

“What exactly are you trying to say…”

Hearing the impatience in Afloti’s tone, Charlemagne VII laughed self-mockingly and explained, “The imperial family’s optimal fusion-body experiment has always failed not only because it lacked the sacred tree extract and a solution for consciousness-cloud incompatibility with mental energy. The most important reason is that the backlash mental energy caused by the progenitor bloodline in the First Empress would attack the consciousness clouds of human descendants through the brand energy.”

“The sentinels who inherit the throne form a brand with the beastman of their generation. In the end, the brand energy causes mental backlash. That is the true reason why generations of the imperial family have been short-lived.”

Charlemagne VII smiled and walked up to Afloti. He raised a hand and placed it on his head, rubbing it as if treating him like a child.

“What kind of older brother wouldn’t look after his younger brother?”

Afloti looked at Charlemagne VII in confusion. Before the questions in his heart could be answered, a force from behind pushed him forward and made him stagger.

When he came back to himself, Charlemagne VII was already standing behind him.

“All right. You should go back now.”

As his words fell, the illusion before Afloti blurred.

When he opened his eyes again, the sight before him had become a battlefield where beastman soldiers were fighting aliens.

In front of him, a cheetah was carrying him on its back, dodging zerg attacks under the protection of the surrounding soldiers.

“Your Majesty.” Seeing that he had awakened, the cheetah spoke in surprise.

“What’s the situation now?” Afloti endured the sharp pain in his head and asked.

“Lieutenant General Charles brought us here.” The cheetah dodged a tentacle attack and panted. “The enemy currently has the advantage in numbers, but our reinforcements will arrive soon.”

Hearing the cheetah’s firm words, Afloti looked at the golden totem glowing faintly on the other’s back, then unconsciously looked up into the sky.

He saw a peregrine falcon dive rapidly toward the ground, knocking down a controlled soldier who had been about to attack them.

After that, countless beastmen descended into the central area of the Bone Burial Ground where they were located.

At the same time, as the wind intensified, the whistle notes of the Bone Burial Ground became especially loud.

But after several sorrowful whistle notes entered his ears one after another, the illusion Afloti had expected did not invade the soldiers’ consciousness clouds.

Afloti looked suspiciously toward the starship entering District Fourteen’s territory above.

At the exit layer of the starship, several aircraft piloted by human guides separated from the ship and entered District Fourteen’s airspace.

Inside the lead aircraft, Jin Chi’an extended two mental tentacles to connect with the aircraft’s control layer, while the rest of his mental tentacles formed a mental net, searching for mental-energy fluctuations within the Bone Burial Ground.

And around the outside of his mental net, several mental tentacles from guides with different hallucinogenic-type mental bodies were weaving together a barrier to resist the invasion of illusions.

Jin Chi’an sensed the mental-energy fluctuations around him and controlled his single-pilot aircraft to stop near Afloti. In a low voice, he asked, “Where is Felix?”

Faced with his question, Afloti endured the headache caused by the jolting and raised his eyes to look at Jin Chi’an, who had jumped down from the aircraft.

“Can’t you sense his location?”

Jin Chi’an instantly panicked. He released the mental energy stored in his consciousness cloud and sensed the changes in the brand at the back of his waist.

As the warmth weakened slightly, Felix’s mental energy became increasingly difficult to detect.

Just as he was about to cross beyond the defensive net, a faint strand of mental energy came through.

Having caught the source of that mental energy, Jin Chi’an jumped back onto the aircraft, handed the military command authority back to Afloti, and drove toward the forest where the source was located.

Before long, that faint mental energy was nearly exhausted. Based on the tiny fluctuation of mental energy, Jin Chi’an clearly sensed Amelie’s location, as well as a butterfly mental body that was about to disappear.

When he arrived at the source of the mental energy, a white tiger covered in blood stood on a small slope made from bone whistles.

“Felix…”

Jin Chi’an’s heart clenched. He jumped down from the aircraft and rushed to the white tiger’s side, gently touching the place where his wounds had already healed but were still stained with blood.

As several whistle notes sounded, Jin Chi’an finally noticed that the white tiger’s pupils were tinged scarlet, and he was staring straight at the human guide ahead.

Following Felix’s gaze, Jin Chi’an narrowed his eyes and looked at Ostha, who gave him a faint smile, and at Amelie, who had collapsed by his feet.

“You’re finally here, little Maine Coon. If you don’t die, I’ll be in quite a difficult position.” Ostha curled his lips, then met the white tiger’s eyes. “Felix, come to me.”

As Ostha’s words fell along with the whistle sound, Jin Chi’an looked at the white tiger beside him in disbelief.

Felix did not leave him even a single glance. He simply followed Ostha’s command and walked to his side, calmly looking back at the place where he had originally stood.

Jin Chi’an froze in place.

But only a moment later, the anger in his heart replaced his reason.

Beside him, Puff, who had secretly run out of his spiritual sea, bared its teeth as well, taking an attacking stance toward Ostha.

Faced with the two of them declaring war, Ostha sneered coldly. He instantly took out a weapon made from the tentacle of a first-stage zerg and attacked Jin Chi’an.

The moment Jin Chi’an dodged his attack, pain suddenly spread through his entire body.

Not far away, Puff had been struck by an invisible long trunk and sent flying into a rock wall.

Enduring the pain brought by his shared senses with his mental body, Jin Chi’an dodged Ostha’s consecutive attacks.

For a time, both his physical defenses and the defenses of his consciousness cloud were gradually collapsing under the other party’s dual attacks.

Ostha hummed an imperial folk tune as he slowly approached Jin Chi’an, who was steadily losing ground.

The mental tentacles released from him took the chance to invade Jin Chi’an’s consciousness cloud, determined to peel away a hidden vein buried deep inside it.

But just as he was about to separate that vein from the consciousness cloud, a butterfly landed on the long trunk of his mental-body mammoth.

A moment later, the mammoth that had originally been mentally connected to Ostha loosened its trunk and released Puff.

Puff immediately stood in front of Jin Chi’an and tore apart the tentacle that had invaded his consciousness cloud.

“Damn it.”

Because the pain from his consciousness cloud transmitted back to his original body, Ostha cursed under his breath. He withdrew the shredded tentacle, then cast a glance at the white tiger beside him.

Receiving the order, Felix’s eyes turned scarlet. He hooked his claws and slowly approached Jin Chi’an.

Faced with the white tiger that seemed to have lost all reason, Jin Chi’an forced himself to prop up his body and tried to stand. But after several failed attempts, he could only let Puff stand in front of him.

Staring into the white tiger’s ferocious eyes, Puff angrily bared its fangs—only to meet the white tiger’s paw striking toward it head-on.

But the imagined pain never came.

The white tiger hooked Puff’s fur and dragged the Maine Coon to his mouth, carefully licking the wounds on its body.

This sudden change made Ostha’s heart tremble when he saw it. As if trying to confirm something, he reached toward his own back.

Immediately after, a gentle touch traveled from his fingertips, and the sensation of his consciousness cloud collapsing swept through his entire body.

The powerful mental energy he had gained by replicating the imperial consciousness cloud also rapidly drained away at that moment.

Because the mental energy between his original body and the host body could not properly merge, the violent rejection reaction made Ostha unable to control this body again.

“What did you do?” Ostha looked in disbelief at Felix, who had transformed back into human form, and at the man and cat in his arms.

Meeting Ostha’s frightened gaze, Felix only replied flatly, “I read the Seventh Emperor’s memories.”

“…”

As several whistle notes sounded again, a semi-transparent long worm detached from the body. The moment it came into contact with the air, it withered into a shriveled strip.

In Felix’s arms, Jin Chi’an felt the warmth return to him. Weakly, he raised a hand and tugged at Felix’s collar. In a hoarse voice, he said, “Teacher Amelie…”

Understanding his meaning, Felix went to Amelie, who had collapsed on the ground.

At that moment, the mammoth that could not previously be seen by the naked eye suddenly appeared before them.

Two incomplete mental brands appeared on the body of the mammoth that had been gradually fading.

From the fragmented totems, Felix studied them several times before making out their original shapes.

One was a totem from a serpent.

And the other was a totem from a butterfly.

…

Three days later.

In the ward of the Iskan starship, Jin Chi’an abruptly woke from a dream and sat up.

Lin Chuan, who had been sitting beside his hospital bed, was startled by his sudden movement and backed away repeatedly with his chair.

Lin Chuan said, “What the hell are you doing?”

“…”

Jin Chi’an held his head, which was aching from the abrupt movement, and looked at Charles and Lin Chuan, who were keeping watch in the ward.

Charles already understood the question in his eyes and explained, “After your battle with Ostha, you were unconscious for three days.”

“I know what you want to ask,” Charles continued. “Most of the aliens that entered District Fourteen were controlled humans from the Empire’s District One. They used the teleportation link left in the Bone Burial Ground to enter District Fourteen directly. Also, because District Fourteen has rejected the Bone Burial Ground for many years, the long period without patrols gave them an opportunity.”

“Go, go, go. Do you think that’s what he wants to know?” Lin Chuan clicked his tongue impatiently. “Felix is currently dealing with the remaining zerg remnants left in the Empire and Iskan.”

Jin Chi’an rubbed his temple. His gaze shifted toward the starship medical area outside the ward. Research related to mental degradation disease was being displayed on the large screen in the medical area.

“Oh, you want to ask about that.” Lin Chuan reacted. “It’s just a coincidence. That group of aliens started falling behind in their fight against the beastmen, so they tried to use the forced branding ability of the imperial family’s optimal fusion bodies to control beastman soldiers. In the end, a large number of them developed the same mental disease as the imperial family.”

“You don’t need to worry about the rest. The mental diseases that appeared in the controlled humans have already been stabilized with the sacred tree extract we found among the aliens. The follow-up treatment can be left to that group of doctors.”

After Lin Chuan finished speaking, he pressed Jin Chi’an back onto the bed and left the ward with Charles.

.

At the other end of the medical area.

Afloti and Amelie stood inside the laboratory where the bodies of past generations of optimal fusion bodies were stored.

Through the snake eye of the First Empress, the two of them found two fragmented mental brands on each optimal fusion body. In the end, those fragments pieced together into the totems of a serpent and a butterfly.

“What is this…” Amelie looked dazedly at the First Empress’s snake eye.

“This is the mental brand of the Seventh Emperor and the Sixth Generation’s optimal fusion body.” The First Empress moved her snake body and came before the Seventh Emperor. “Through his transaction with the aliens, he obtained a method to transfer mental brands. In the end, he separated the brand that symbolized enslavement and placed it upon each optimal fusion body that possessed limitless mental energy. This is the final answer handed to me by the imperial descendants who oppressed and exploited beastman blood for several hundred years.”

Afloti’s pupils turned into beastlike vertical slits as he looked at that familiar youthful face.

“Using the aliens to find a way to relieve the mental illness and transfer the brand—so this was Charlemagne VII’s purpose in bringing the aliens here.”

Hearing the mockery in Afloti’s tone, the First Empress raised her eyes and looked at the boy who resembled Charlemagne VII so closely.

“Of course not.”

“His only purpose was for you to survive unharmed on the day his mental energy was exhausted.” The First Empress’s figure sank lower. Then she slipped into a transmission passage on one side, leaving behind one final sentence. “The imperial palace still keeps the birds raised by the Seventh Emperor. If you have the chance, you can go see them.”

.

Night fell.

Because Jin Chi’an had slept for too long, he was now lying on the hospital bed, boredly poking the fur ball in his hand. His thoughts drifted unconsciously to Felix.

Through the connection between his mental body and Felix, Jin Chi’an controlled Puff’s body and suddenly appeared in a command room.

A familiar scolding voice came from the main seat of the command room.

Felix was holding his forehead, dealing with a pile of trivial military affairs.

Following that familiar mental energy, Jin Chi’an controlled four paws and clumsily jumped onto Felix’s lap.

Felix looked at the fur ball that had suddenly appeared before him. He froze at first, then restrained the fatigue on his face and gathered the Maine Coon into his arms.

“Why are you here?”

Hearing the slightly embarrassed tone in Felix’s voice, Jin Chi’an’s soft laugh entered his consciousness cloud.

“I came to see whether my little tiger has been eating on time.”

As his words entered Felix’s consciousness cloud, Jin Chi’an propped himself up on his front legs, leaned his head forward, and finally dropped a kiss on Felix’s lips.

…

Five years later, Iskan Military Command.

“Report, Marshal. This is the preliminary draft of the ground-city defense system sent from District Fourteen.”

The squirrel beastman who had just entered the military department cautiously studied the fierce-looking Iskan marshal before him.

Felix was holding a Maine Coon cat in his arms and carefully smoothing its fur. During the entire time, he did not spare the squirrel beastman even a single glance.

“Mm. Put it down, then leave.”

Hearing Felix’s merciless order, the squirrel beastman instantly tucked his exposed tail tight, tiptoed out of the command office, and only slowly let out a breath after leaving the white tiger beastman’s territory range.

He then asked Edwen, who was walking toward him, “Deputy Edwen, may I ask if that Maine Coon beastman is the marshal’s partner?”

Looking at the newcomer who had mistaken a mental body for a beastman just as he had back then, Edwen chuckled and replied, “That is Mr. Jin’s mental body.”

“Mr. Jin? You mean the human director of the Mental Illness Research Institute?”

Before the squirrel beastman could finish speaking, a figure that looked utterly out of place among the beastmen of the military department entered Felix’s marshal office.

Jin Chi’an carried a thermal lunchbox and pushed open the office door.

The white tiger, who had been licking Puff’s fur, was about to lose his temper after having his grooming time interrupted. But the moment he heard that familiar voice, he instantly switched sides, trotted to Jin Chi’an’s side, and eagerly presented his ears.

Jin Chi’an naturally rubbed his white tiger ears and laughed softly.

“Whose tiger skipped his meals again?”
