The Interdimensional Reseller – CH186

Chapter 186

As Zhuang Feixue and Zhuang Cheng were talking, a call came in from the gatehouse. Zhuang Feixue picked up the phone, listened for a moment, then replied, “Alright, let him in.”

“Who’s here, sis?” asked Zhuang Cheng.

Zhuang Feixue tilted her head. “Yuan Bin.”

“The currently trending wind-type ability-user?” Zhuang Cheng asked.

Zhuang Feixue nodded. “That’s right.”

The previous wind-user who could slice through cars had always been the focus of attention. The Ability Bureau had tried to recruit him, but he vanished without a trace. Now another wind-type ability-user had appeared, and the Bureau was very interested.

Zhuang Cheng curled his lip. “This Yuan Bin’s been pretty full of himself lately.”

Zhuang Feixue smiled. “Well, he is a wind-type user.” If trained properly, he could develop formidable power. Some people had even nicknamed him “Little Windstrider,” thinking he might become the second car-slicing legend.

“Miss Zhuang, Mr. Zhuang,” Yuan Bin greeted them.

Zhuang Cheng nodded at him. “Mr. Yuan, you’re quite the rising star. What brings you here?”

“I was hoping Young Master Zhuang could introduce me to the Windstrider.”

After Yuan Bin was identified as a wind-type user, the Ability Bureau took him seriously. Many senior officials placed high hopes on him and provided him with a wealth of resources.

Going from obscure to spotlighted, Yuan Bin was quite pleased. He worked hard to improve his power after receiving the Bureau’s resources—but the results were disappointing.

So far, he’d absorbed five Witch Stones—each worth tens of millions. While the Bureau had a decent stockpile, there were many ability-users to support. Absorbing five Witch Stones with minimal growth stirred discontent among his rivals.

Even those who once strongly supported him were beginning to waver, worried that he might be a bottomless pit.

As a fellow wind-type user, Yuan Bin didn’t think he was inferior to the car-slicing man. That guy just awakened earlier and had a head start—or maybe he had some unique trick to quickly grow stronger. Recently, Yuan Bin had faced growing skepticism. Some felt he wasn’t even as promising as brute-force ability-users.

Unable to bear it, Yuan Bin decided to meet the Windstrider in person and seek his guidance.

Zhuang Feixue tilted her head. “You want to ask him for ability insights?”

Yuan Bin nodded. “Yes, I’d like to talk and learn from him.”

Zhuang Cheng rolled his eyes. “It’s no use. He’s not even… a wind-type user.”

Zhuang Feixue glanced at him. “Not what? Not a wind-type?”

Zhuang Cheng laughed awkwardly. “I mean, even if he is a wind-type, his evolution path is quite unique. He probably can’t give much useful advice.”

Yuan Bin frowned. “I still want to meet him.”

Zhuang Cheng shook his head and said, “He’s got a terrible personality and treats money like his life. It’s not that easy to meet him.”

Yuan Bin frowned slightly at Zhuang Cheng’s evasive tone and said, “Didn’t you manage to get him to help rescue the Lin family’s young master before?”
Zhuang Cheng rolled his eyes and replied, “That wasn’t because of my influence. It was because Madam Lin is wealthy and willing to spend money. He only showed up because of the one hundred million — without that, don’t even think about it.”

In reality, only Manning had been sent that time. Chu Feng never intended to intervene at all. It was only after discovering that Lin’s father might be connected to the kidnappers that Chu Feng worried the Lin boy would die and he’d lose the money, so he got involved.

“Isn’t he supposed to be some kind of hero? He’s that greedy?” Yuan Bin asked.
Zhuang Cheng nodded. “He’s no hero — that’s just a rumor.”

Yuan Bin came from an ordinary background. The Bureau of Abilities had provided him with decent resources and a good salary — 100,000 yuan a month — but hiring the “Car Cutter” with that amount seemed out of reach…

Yuan Bin sat for a while at the Zhuang residence. Since he didn’t get what he came for, he left disappointed.

Once he left, only Zhuang Feixue and Zhuang Cheng were left in the room.

“Yuan Bin’s wind-type ability seems to be progressing quite slowly.”

Zhuang Cheng smiled and said, “His ability is only at D-level. There’s still a big gap between him and a true Wind Walker.”

He tilted his head. It seemed that some people’s powers responded well to Witch Stones, while others didn’t improve much even after using them.

Zhuang Feixue tilted her head and asked, “What level is that hero at?”
Zhuang Cheng smiled. “Didn’t the Ability Bureau classify him as A-level?” But deep down, Zhuang Cheng believed his second brother’s ability level went far beyond that. Replicating his brother’s powers wasn’t going to be easy.

Yuan Bin left the Zhuang residence feeling rather frustrated.

Lately, many factions had been offering him olive branches. Several rich families wanted to marry their daughters to him. Many influential figures had taken a liking to him, and Yuan Bin was starting to feel confident — maybe even a little overconfident.

Not getting what he wanted from Zhuang Cheng left a bitter taste in his mouth. He felt that Zhuang Cheng was looking down on him and refusing to make the introduction on purpose. He quietly held a grudge.

Yuan Bin resolved to quickly improve his strength and surpass the “Car Cutter,” to show everyone who underestimated him just how powerful he truly was.

“Mr. Yuan.”
Zhuang Feixu had just entered the villa and ran into Yuan Bin on his way out.

“Oh, Miss Feixu!”

Zhuang Feixu asked curiously, “Mr. Yuan, what brings you here?”

“I had some questions about cultivation and wanted to consult that hero,” Yuan Bin replied.

Zhuang Feixu smiled. “That’s a good thing! You’re both wind-type users. Talking it out should benefit you both.”

“Unfortunately, Young Master Zhuang said he was too busy and doesn’t like seeing outsiders…” Yuan Bin said with a bitter smile.

Zhuang Feixu frowned. “He is a bit of a mystery.”

Yuan Bin asked curiously, “You’ve never seen him either, Miss Feixu?”

Zhuang Feixu shook her head. “Nope. As far as I know, only Xiao Cheng has met him.”

Yuan Bin was surprised. “That mysterious? Is it because he’s ugly and doesn’t want people to see him?”

Zhuang Feixu smiled. “If I ever meet him, I’ll pass along your message.”

“Thank you, Miss Feixu,” Yuan Bin said gratefully.
Zhuang Feixu replied with a light smile, “It’s no trouble.”

Zhuang Feixu entered the house and saw Zhuang Cheng.

“Xiao Cheng, I just saw Yuan Bin leaving.”

Zhuang Cheng nodded. “Yeah, he was just here.”

“I heard from Yuan Bin that he asked you to help introduce him to the hero, and you turned him down?”

“Yup,” Zhuang Cheng replied.

“Why? Yuan Bin has great potential. There’s no need to refuse something like this. It might even form a good connection. It’s never bad to have more allies with powers.” Wind-type users were rare and valuable, after all.

Zhuang Cheng shook his head and sighed. “That guy is really busy. You can’t bother him over every little thing — he’d scold me.”

Zhuang Cheng thought silently: Second Brother knows plenty of ability-users. His wife is an A-level ability-user, Manning can find people through bloodlines, and there’s even someone behind them with plant-based powers who’s good at making potions — all of them are incredibly strong.

There might even be other ability-users around Second Brother. He definitely doesn’t need Yuan Bin.

Zhuang Feixu hesitated. “Do you have that hero’s contact? Give it to me. I’ll reach out.”

Zhuang Cheng quickly shook his head and said firmly, “I can’t give that to you.”

Zhuang Feixu couldn’t help but ask, “Why not?”
“Because he hates you,” Zhuang Cheng blurted out without thinking.

Zhuang Feixu was stunned by his words.

And so was Zhuang Feixue.

Zhuang Cheng realized what he had said and awkwardly covered his mouth.

“He hates me? Why?” Zhuang Feixu asked, a bit embarrassed.
Zhuang Cheng: … Although the baby swap back then wasn’t really her fault, she did take over Second Brother’s rightful identity. He probably still feels uncomfortable when he sees her.

Zhuang Feixue looked at Zhuang Cheng with confusion. Feixu was beautiful — beautiful people usually had the upper hand. She had seen many men fall head over heels for her and very few who disliked her. Maybe Zhuang Cheng was mistaken?

Zhuang Cheng gave a sheepish smile and said, “What I mean is… sis, you’re just not his type.”

Zhuang Feixu’s face turned a bit pale. She knew the Car Cutter’s power well, and being hated by someone like him was never a good thing.

“Then forget it.”
She was clearly discouraged. She dropped the subject of Yuan Bin and walked off, looking a little lost.

Zhuang Feixue watched Zhuang Feixu leave and looked at Zhuang Cheng with some confusion. “Does that hero really hate Feixu?”

Zhuang Cheng nodded. “Probably.”

Their second brother had met their second sister before, and every time they met, the atmosphere was awkward.

“Most men wouldn’t hate a beautiful woman, right? Unless he’s gay.”
Zhuang Cheng: “…”
He is gay! But even straight men don’t necessarily like every woman.
“Even if he’s gay, that shouldn’t mean he hates beautiful women, right?” Zhuang Feixue said.

Zhuang Cheng scratched his head. “Sis, stop asking. When the time comes, you’ll understand.”
Always having to lie and hide things was exhausting.
Zhuang Feixue: “…”

At the Zhuang Zhenhua household.

“What’s wrong? Not in a good mood?” Zhuang Ming asked.

Zhuang Zhiyuan said irritably, “I applied for the body-enhancement serum from the Ability Bureau, but it didn’t go through.”

Zhuang Ming frowned, annoyed. “Didn’t we offer to pay double? What’s wrong with those Ability Bureau people? Do they hate money?”

“They said the serum has to be prioritized for ability-users.”

Zhuang Zhiyuan angrily slammed the table. The Bureau even suggested that he go directly to Zhuang Cheng and Zhuang Feixue to get the serum—since Chu Feng was the one who developed it. From their perspective, coming to the Bureau was just taking the long route.

Zhuang Zhiyuan gritted his teeth, seething with jealousy toward Zhuang Cheng’s entire household.
Zhuang Ming’s face darkened. “These ability-users are getting more and more arrogant.”

Zhuang Zhiyuan took a deep breath. “Aren’t they just.”

Many ability-users started out weak, but with the help of Wushi (witch stones), they grew quickly into powerful figures who could summon wind and rain—it was truly enviable.

Zhuang Zhiyuan thought of Sun Ye, a former lackey who used to run errands for him. After awakening an ability, Sun Ye joined the Ability Bureau and even fired him, his former boss. And Sun Sun Ye had only awakened a basic strength ability—yet he became so arrogant.

At that moment, Zhuang Zhiming walked in. “Second Brother, are you back?”

Zhuang Zhiyuan shook his head. “No.”

Zhuang Zhiming sighed. “I figured. I heard Zhuang Cheng sold all the serums—eight of them—for 200 million.”

Zhuang Zhiyuan gritted his teeth but said nothing. The market price for one serum was 10 million, but plenty of wealthy bosses were desperate to improve their bodies and didn’t care about the cost, so prices had skyrocketed.

Watching Zhuang Cheng and Zhuang Feixue earn money so easily, Zhuang Zhiyuan couldn’t help but wonder what the point of all his hard business negotiations even was…

National Bureau of Paranormal Abilities.

Shen Yutong looked at the list. “Only thirty out of 120 vials of serum are left?”

“There were too many applicants—we couldn’t meet the demand!”

Many ability-users who didn’t receive any were agitated. Those who did, upon discovering the second dose was still effective, wanted more.

“Thirty vials were taken by high-level officials. Plus, there are a lot of wealthy people outside offering double the price.”

Shen Yutong shook her head. “These people are crazy.”

“To those rich people, money’s just a number. Oh, and Zhuang Zhiyuan came to apply too. Is he joking?”

“Chu Feng is from the Zhuang family, right?”

Shen Yutong gave a bitter smile. “It might not be a joke. Chu Feng may be from the Chu family, but he’s never gone back. And the first and second branches of the Zhuang family don’t get along at all.”

“That’s true.”

Shen Yuxing took a deep breath. “I heard Zhuang Cheng had some serum, and he seems to be short on cash, so he sold it all—even Zhuang Zhenyang didn’t get any. His father was furious.”

“Miss Shen, should we place another order with Chu Feng?”

Shen Yuxing inhaled slowly. “Already tried. Chu Feng said he’s out of stock for now.”
