Zhuang Cheng's Request for Help

Chapter 153: Zhuang Cheng’s Request for Help

“Oh right, do you still have that wine?” Zhuang Feixue suddenly asked.

Chu Feng looked puzzled. “Wine? You mean the Hundred Fruit Brew? That stuff is pretty strong! Can’t drink too much.”

He remembered how he used to get nosebleeds after drinking it — he didn’t mind, but his sister was a public figure. If she drank too much and got a nosebleed, the media might blow it up as if she had a serious illness.

Nowadays, marketing accounts will say anything just to hit their KPIs.

Zhuang Feixue rolled her eyes and said, “I didn’t drink much. Not sure about Dad, though.”

As soon as she brought the wine home, their dad “confiscated” half of it. Not long after, another half of the remaining half was taken. She ended up having to hide what was left.

Chu Feng shook his head. “He took that much? That old man has no shame! Want to cut off your father-daughter relationship with him?”

Zhuang Feixue just looked at Chu Feng. He said quickly, “I was joking.”

Zhuang Feixue replied, “Dad really loves a good drink. He can’t resist fine wine.”

Chu Feng: “He always looks so proper. Who knew he was like this? What’s his alcohol tolerance?”

Zhuang Feixue shook her head. “Not great. That’s why at banquets, he doesn’t drink much — to protect his image. He usually hides at home to enjoy the fruit wine.”

As expected, Chu Feng thought, people really do have different faces in public and private.

Zhuang Feixue continued, “One time, Dad got drunk, and Xiao Cheng secretly asked him for the password to his bank card. Dad told him! Xiao Cheng then used the card to buy a ton of toys. By the time Dad sobered up and saw the bank alerts on his phone, the house was already full of toys.”

Chu Feng looked a bit embarrassed. “That actually happened?”

Zhuang Feixue nodded. “Yep. Anyway, enough of that — what do you plan to do next?”

Chu Feng smiled and casually said something, which made Zhuang Feixue perk up: “You want to open a distillery? Our family runs dozens of hotel chains. Maybe we can give you some advice.”

Chu Feng shook his head. “The kind of hotel I want to run is a bit different. I want to open a hotel… for monsters.”

Zhuang Feixue raised her eyebrows. “You mean a paranormal-themed hotel? That kind of niche concept is really popular now. A lot of young people these days are into weird stuff — luxury hotels can’t satisfy them anymore. Now there are horror hotels, haunted house hotels… I’ve heard those are doing well.”

Chu Feng: “Really? People these days sure know how to have fun.” He just wanted to build a place for those people to stay.

Zhuang Feixue looked at him and said, “Oh right — Xiao Cheng said he needs something.”

Chu Feng looked puzzled. “What is it?”

Zhuang Feixue shook her head. “Not sure. He should be here soon.”

Chu Feng nodded. “Alright then.”

Zhuang Feixue’s phone rang. Chu Feng asked, “Sis, are you in a hurry? You can go first — I’ll wait for the kid.”

Zhuang Feixue nodded. “Okay.”

She still had a scene to shoot today — she had taken leave just to come.

Not long after in the restaurant, Zhuang Cheng pushed the door open and walked in.

Chu Feng looked at him and got straight to the point: “Did you send me money?”

Zhuang Cheng raised his chin and said matter-of-factly, “That jade was yours. I couldn’t take advantage of you. We’re family — clear accounts make good relationships, right?”

Chu Feng: This kid’s got integrity? Didn’t expect that.

Zhuang Cheng continued, “Besides the jade auction earnings, there was another 10 million.”

Chu Feng frowned. “Where did that come from?”

Zhuang Cheng replied, “My allowance. Plus, Dad offered a 50 million reward before, and you never claimed it. I don’t have 50 million now, but I’ll slowly pay it back to you.”

Chu Feng nodded. “Alright. Boys should be raised a little tougher. You’ve got too much money for your age — easy to go astray. Just give it all to me. You think too much because you have too much. A kid your age, and you’re already dreaming of being surrounded by girls?”

Zhuang Cheng: It’s not like that! He just accidentally had a crush on two girls. It wasn’t as bad as Chu Feng made it sound.

Chu Feng asked, “So why did you come to me?”

Zhuang Cheng puffed his cheeks and said, “I wanted to ask you to help find my cousin’s daughter — our niece, Yuanyuan.”

Chu Feng frowned. “Yuanyuan? What happened? She’s missing?”

Zhuang Cheng nodded. “Yeah. She was abducted. It’s been two years already. We don’t know how she is. My cousin has been heartbroken ever since — she was recently hospitalized from the stress.”

Chu Feng was confused. “What’s going on with your family? First kids get switched at birth, then kidnapped? You all really need to be more careful.”

Zhuang Cheng: “Hey! What kind of attitude is that? Talking like it’s not your concern! I really want to grab your arm and say, you were the one who got switched, remember? Why are you acting like an outsider?”

He continued, “It’s true my cousin was a bit careless back then, but you know how cunning human traffickers can be.”

Illya tilted her head, curious. “Where did the child go missing?”

“At the park next to their neighborhood,” Zhuang Cheng replied. “My cousin and the nanny were pushing the stroller when suddenly, the child disappeared.”

Illya frowned. “Two adults and you still lost the kid? Did they hire a cheap nanny or something?”

“Nope,” Zhuang Cheng said. “My cousin paid her 25,000 a month.”

Chu Feng’s eyebrows twitched. “25,000 a month? That’s high! And she still lost the kid? Just goes to show — expensive doesn’t always mean good either.”

Zhuang Cheng nodded and said, “Yes! That’s why we fired the person after the incident.”
“But it was useless to fire them—the child had already gone missing.”

Chu Feng frowned and said, “The person’s been missing for two years. We can’t even be sure if they’re still alive. If they’re already dead, then it’s all meaningless.”

Zhuang Cheng looked at Chu Feng and said, “Doesn’t Manning have the ability to help with something like this?”

“Why would I do that? There’s nothing in it for me,” Chu Feng said flatly.

Zhuang Cheng gritted his teeth and said, “How about I give you my shares?”

“You really are a prodigal,” Chu Feng sighed. “You just squandered all your shares. They say wealth doesn’t last three generations—looks like it’s true. If the group falls into your hands, it’ll be bankrupt in no time.”

Zhuang Cheng’s face darkened. “Just tell me whether you’ll help or not.”
“…Fine,” Chu Feng said. After all, it was his niece. If he didn’t know, it’d be one thing—but now that he did, he couldn’t just ignore it.

Zhuang Cheng looked relieved. “Thanks.”

Chu Feng looked at him and shook his head. “Xiao Cheng, you have to understand—it’s been so long. That child might not even…”

“If they’re alive, that’s great. But if they’re dead, wouldn’t knowing the truth be even more painful?”

Zhuang Cheng nodded. “I understand. What do you need me to do?”

Chu Feng thought for a moment and said, “Take Manning to meet that cousin of yours first.”

“We need to determine a general direction. The relationship between him and the child is a bit distant, so it’s hard for Manning to pinpoint it precisely. But once the general direction is clear, the rest will be easy.”

Zhuang Cheng was a bit excited. “I’ll arrange the meeting as soon as possible.”

Chu Feng shook his head. “No need for a meeting. Just invite her out to a meal, and we’ll observe from the next table.”

Zhuang Cheng nodded. “Alright.”

Zhuang Feixue returned to the film set, and the first thing she did was send her assistant to buy cake and coffee. She didn’t eat alone—she bought a lot and shared with the crew.

The male lead next to her looked shocked. “Teacher Zhuang, the calories in this cake and coffee are so high! Aren’t you afraid of gaining weight?”

Zhuang Feixue waved her hand boldly. “It’s fine.”

What goes around comes around—now it was finally her turn. In the past, she had to watch Illya eat cake and roasted chicken every day. She had had enough of that.

The male lead suddenly seemed to think of something. He asked excitedly, “Teacher Zhuang, could it be that the Beauty Elixir also helps with weight loss?”

Zhuang Feixue shook her head. “The Beauty Elixir doesn’t help with weight loss—but the Slimming Elixir does.”
She hadn’t taken that one yet herself, but she had full confidence in Chu Feng’s elixirs and was willing to be the guinea pig.

The male lead furrowed his brow. “So there really is a weight loss elixir?”
Zhuang Feixue nodded. “The doctor just developed a Slimming Elixir. It can help with weight loss.”

The male lead asked excitedly, “Could you sell me some?”

Zhuang Feixue frowned slightly. “It’s not that I’m unwilling, but I haven’t tried it myself yet. Let me try it first, and if it’s good, I’ll offer it for sale.”

The male lead wasn’t convinced. “Has anything you’ve sold ever been bad, Miss Zhuang? Why bother testing it yourself? Give it to me!”

In the entertainment industry, the era of male beauty had arrived. Pretty boys were even more marketable than goddesses. Many male actors managed their physiques more strictly than female actors.

Zhuang Feixue smiled. “Alright then… Though the effect of the Slimming Elixir hasn’t been tested on the market, if someone’s willing to buy, that’s a good thing.”

“One million per elixir?” the male lead asked.
Zhuang Feixue nodded. “For now, yes. The Beauty and Health Elixirs are two million per elixir now.”

The male lead was stunned. “Why did the price go up suddenly?”

Zhuang Feixue shook her head. “We had to raise the price to manage demand. We’ve also run out of materials. Once this batch is gone, who knows when the next one will be ready.”

The male lead nodded in understanding.

Once the news leaked that her elixirs were back in stock, Zhuang Feixue’s phone nearly exploded from calls.

For many rich people, price wasn’t the issue—getting the elixirs at all was the real challenge. If the price hike eliminated some competition, then for those who could afford it, it was a blessing.
