Chapter 86: I Love You (Main Text — The End)
The matter of a complete mark was unfamiliar to Jiang Rong, and even more so to He Siming—he didn’t even know how to complete the bond.
Jiang Rong’s understanding of a complete mark between an Alpha and an Omega also came from biology class. But what was taught there was all theoretical, mainly for popular science. No teacher would ever tell them what positions to use, or what the process would feel like.
If he had known in advance that he would transmigrate—and even become an Omega—he would definitely have downloaded dozens of gigabytes of videos beforehand. Even if it made him blush, he would have studied them carefully.
Right now, the two of them were cramming at the last minute. Despite having gone through countless temporary marks and incomplete marks, at this critical moment, they had become complete novices again.
During the wedding days, He Siming had given Jiang Rong temporary marks to suppress his heat.
He Siming could control his pheromones; he could even induce Jiang Rong’s heat a day early.
The temperature of the hot spring pool had been lowered slightly, yet with the intense intertwining of pheromones, the heat of their bodies only rose instead of falling.
Jiang Rong leaned back against the smooth pool wall, tilting his head back as he endured the invasion of He Siming’s pheromones.
The hot spring water rippled.
He Siming’s back was drenched in sweat.
He kissed the side of Jiang Rong’s neck, his voice hoarse. “What should I do to enter the reproductive cavity?”
Jiang Rong only knew the most basic explanation. “When the reproductive cavity opens, it naturally enters.”
He Siming asked him, “Then has your reproductive cavity opened?”
Even though the two of them were pressed tightly together, the question made Jiang Rong burn all over.
He shook his head lightly. “I—I don’t know. It probably isn’t that easy…”
He Siming said, “I understand.”
Jiang Rong asked, “Understand what?”
He Siming’s eyes lit up slightly. “Since we don’t know how to do it, then we’ll try every method, one by one.”
Thinking of his hundred and eight different methods, Jiang Rong’s face flushed red as He Siming supported him and carried him toward the bed. He buried his face against He Siming’s neck. Just thinking about having to try so many positions made his body heat up by several degrees.
He was still struggling. “Do we really have to try like this?”
He Siming chuckled softly. “Then tell me—how do we get into the reproductive cavity?”
Jiang Rong knew he was deliberately teasing him, but his face still burned. He remembered how Dr. Liu had once discussed his body structure with him during his pregnancy, and how he himself had looked at anatomical diagrams.
He spoke with difficulty. “Dr. Liu said my reproductive cavity is positioned relatively far back.”
He Siming kissed the corner of his brow. “Alright, I understand.”
He whispered a word into Jiang Rong’s ear, and Jiang Rong could only nod through tears.
Perhaps this was just them experimenting; they didn’t even know whether it would succeed.
The facts proved that it wasn’t so easy—possibly also because it was only the first day of Jiang Rong’s heat.
The first attempt ended in failure.
He Siming wasn’t discouraged at all. In fact, he enjoyed it immensely. Jiang Rong would always see him full of energy whenever the next heat arrived.
On the second day, the heat continued, and they kept trying.
But after another full day, they were still fumbling without a clue. The experience they had accumulated over the past two years seemed completely useless now.
It wasn’t until the third night that Jiang Rong’s body’s demand for pheromones suddenly surged.
Perhaps because his body’s flexibility had been developed over the past few days, and driven by the instinctive nature of an Omega, he seemed to know what he needed more. Vaguely, he understood how the reproductive cavity should open, and how an Alpha should complete a knot within it.
This was his instinct—it didn’t require anyone to teach him. Like a small animal, he naturally knew how to seek benefit and avoid harm in a dangerous environment.
He Siming’s sleep schedule was fairly regular. When Jiang Rong’s desire surged, He Siming was sitting on the sofa outside the room, replying to messages.
Jiang Rong hastily pulled on an oversized T-shirt that He Siming had casually left nearby and walked toward the living room.
He didn’t do anything else—just sat directly on He Siming’s lap. At times like this, he became extremely clingy, wanting to stick close to He Siming at every moment.
He Siming put down his phone. The moment he heard movement, he knew Jiang Rong had woken up.
Jiang Rong relaxed completely in his arms—this was his favorite way to hold He Siming. “He Siming.”
He Siming had rested reasonably well. He kissed the corner of Jiang Rong’s mouth. “Hmm?”
Jiang Rong said softly, “I—I think I know how to do it now.”
He Siming’s enthusiasm didn’t wane at all. “How? Want to try again?”
At this point, his enthusiasm for staying in bed on their honeymoon far exceeded his enthusiasm for going out.
Jiang Rong leaned close to his ear and whispered, “You have to bite the neck first, and then…”
He Siming understood immediately. He gently stroked Jiang Rong’s neck, knowing how clingy he was at this moment.
“I understand. Do you still have the stamina?”
“I—I think so.”
Every time they finished, He Siming would have someone send food over, placing it right by the bedside. Jiang Rong wasn’t very hungry either.
The once-a-month heat was truly exhausting.
“That’s good,” He Siming said, simply confirming that he wasn’t hungry. “Then let’s begin.”
Jiang Rong sighed. He had just gotten out of bed and now had to go back again.
However, He Siming picked him up—not toward the bedroom, but toward the large floor-to-ceiling window, where there was a sofa Jiang Rong had never sat on.
A high-end hotel had its advantages—it had everything.
Jiang Rong had never used it. He exercised regularly, but this sofa was strange. It had an S-shaped curve; if you slept on it, wouldn’t you roll off either side the moment you turned over?
He blurted out, “Isn’t this fitness equipment?”
He Siming chuckled softly. “It can be considered that.”
The moment Jiang Rong heard that mischievous laugh, he knew this “equipment” definitely wasn’t meant for proper fitness.
And then he learned how it was used.
He Siming’s control over his pheromones was effortless. In the instant Jiang Rong lost focus, the lime-scented pheromones wrapped tightly around him. His body was almost scorched by the heat, pleasure and tears intertwining.
As his vision blurred, his gland was bitten open, and powerful pheromones surged in without warning.
At that moment, he felt something different in his body.
It felt—like it had opened.
When it comes to innate physiology, humans can understand without instruction.
Without Jiang Rong needing to say anything, He Siming could sense what he should do through Jiang Rong’s reactions.
It hurt—so much.
Jiang Rong whimpered and cried from the pain.
He Siming said they should stop and not continue, but Jiang Rong cried and wouldn’t let him stop. If they gave up halfway, he would definitely never dare to try again next time.
In truth, both of them were in pain—it was just a matter of degree. He Siming gently whispered tender words of love into Jiang Rong’s ear.
Jiang Rong cried until his voice grew hoarse.
The knot—had formed.
In the end, completely exhausted, he collapsed into He Siming’s arms. Drowsiness surged over him, and he said hoarsely, “He Siming, I’m so tired. Let me sleep for a while.”
He Siming lightly kissed his pale lips. “Alright.”
He hadn’t known that a complete mark would hurt this much—this was what he hadn’t said.
He’d tricked him again, this little liar.
He Siming carefully cleaned him up and then carried him to bed. They moved to another room—the original bed was in complete disarray.
Jiang Rong slept for a full day and night.
During that deep sleep, he almost scared He Siming to death. If Jiang Rong hadn’t gotten up once to use the bathroom and later woken to eat a little, He Siming would have called an ambulance.
He Siming stayed by his side for a full day and night—napping when he was tired, staring at him whenever he woke.
When Jiang Rong finally slept enough and woke up, it was just after dawn.
The curtains weren’t drawn tightly. Morning light filtered through the sheer drapes and fell at the foot of the bed.
A blanket covered him, and He Siming’s strong arm rested around his waist. Jiang Rong turned gently, not waking him.
He knew how worried He Siming had been these past few days, yet he himself couldn’t wake up no matter what.
So this was how exhausting a complete mark was—so exhausting that you couldn’t even force yourself awake, your body heavy and unresponsive.
He Siming was still woken by Jiang Rong’s movement, though he opened his eyes groggily. Jiang Rong saw the dark circles under his eyes and wrapped his arms around his waist.
“He Siming, go back to sleep for a bit.”
He Siming’s voice was even hoarser than Jiang Rong’s. “Mm… you’re awake?”
Jiang Rong touched his handsome face, worn down slightly by worry. “I’m fine now.”
There was no way He Siming could sleep. He got up and examined Jiang Rong from head to toe, firing off several questions in one breath.
“Anywhere uncomfortable?”
“Why did you sleep so long after the complete mark?”
“That knot—after it formed, did it have any side effects on you?”
“I was too impulsive. After the knot, will you get pregnant?”
Jiang Rong held He Siming, whose face was full of anxiety. Seeing him grow more and more distressed, Jiang Rong quickly answered.
“I’m not uncomfortable. Forming the knot requires time to adapt and consumes physical energy, so the body instinctively enters deep sleep. There are no side effects. The biggest effect is that you’ve become my lifelong Alpha—only your scent will remain on me, and from now on, I can only accept your pheromones.”
Although He Siming hadn’t slept well these past few days, his mind wasn’t sluggish.
He noticed that Jiang Rong hadn’t answered the last question—the biggest issue that He Siming had initially overlooked and only realized later.
He Siming asked, “What about the last question?”
Jiang Rong still wasn’t good at lying. He answered hesitantly, and his gaze wavered when it met He Siming’s.
He Siming’s heart sank. “Jiang Rongrong. Speak.”
Jiang Rong said, “The chance of pregnancy might be higher than before. I’m not entirely sure.”
He Siming looked completely defeated. “Higher than before?”
Jiang Rong quickly said, “Don’t be nervous. It’s not certain. I didn’t really pay attention to this before either. After the first pregnancy, an Omega’s reproductive cavity needs time to recover—fertility might not necessarily be high.”
But He Siming’s expression didn’t improve with the explanation. “You said yourself you didn’t pay attention before. That means pregnancy is still possible.”
Jiang Rong had no way to refute that.
“I don’t think I’ll get pregnant. Trust me,” Jiang Rong said.
He Siming didn’t believe him at all. “But you got pregnant the first time.”
“That was an accident,” Jiang Rong said. “Getting pregnant isn’t like buying cabbage—you don’t just get one whenever you want.”
“Jiang Rongrong, did you do this on purpose?” He Siming sighed deeply, suspecting that Jiang Rong had deliberately withheld information, knowing he didn’t understand complete marking.
“Of course not. I just wanted to complete the mark with you,” Jiang Rong said innocently. “I’m hungry.”
“You changed the topic so abruptly,” He Siming pointed out his little trick.
“Anyway, you’ve already done it. If there’s another baby, you’ll just raise one more,” Jiang Rong said with a carefree smile. “They’d all be yours.”
“Alright, alright,” He Siming said helplessly. He pulled him into his arms and breathed in his scent deeply, still uneasy. “You’re not hiding anything else from me, right?”
“Really not. You’ve completely drained me,” Jiang Rong said, ruffling his hair. “The me in front of you holds nothing back.”
He Siming was deeply moved. “I don’t hold anything back with you either. I love you.”
“I love you too,” Jiang Rong said.
They stayed in the hotel for five and a half days.
They had originally planned a one-week honeymoon with Xu Mingqin. Now that five and a half days had passed, only a day and a half remained. They couldn’t stay in the hotel any longer—at least Jiang Rong didn’t want to see that hotel bed again, or that S-shaped sofa!
He Siming, however, took a few extra glances at the sofa before leaving.
Jiang Rong gripped the handle of his suitcase. “He Siming, don’t you dare.”
He Siming said, “No—I want to.”
“Let’s go. Stop looking,” Jiang Rong urged.
“Mm.”
When they saw the private butler again, He Siming asked whether the sofa was new.
The butler thought they were concerned and reassured him. “Sir, rest assured—the sofa is absolutely brand new!”
He Siming gave him their home address. “Very good. Send it to this address in a couple of days.”
Jiang Rong silently blushed behind He Siming. “…”
You stayed in a hotel and still managed to take their sofa home—an indecent sofa at that!
They didn’t go straight home. He Siming asked Jiang Rong, “Do you want to go on a self-driving trip? Just the two of us.”
But Jiang Rong worried about their son. “Then what about Linlin?”
He hadn’t video-called their son much these past few days and missed him.
He Siming suggested, “How about we secretly go back tonight to see him once, then head out?”
Jiang Rong rejected the idea. “If I see him, I won’t want to leave.”
After all, he was their own child.
He Siming chuckled softly. “Then let’s go.”
“Alright,” Jiang Rong said. “You’ve already planned the route, haven’t you?”
“All planned. Let’s set off,” He Siming replied.
“Then where are we going now?” Jiang Rong asked.
As He Siming started the car toward the airport, he said, “You’ll know when we get there.”
He just wanted to take Jiang Rong to watch sunrises and sunsets, to see vast grasslands, to boat through the water towns of Jiangnan, to look at ancient buildings and ruins, to pray at temples, to traverse mountains and rivers, to travel all across the land.
One week wouldn’t be enough. One month wouldn’t be enough. Even one year wouldn’t be enough—so they would walk for a lifetime.
One day, Jiang Rong would completely, wholly become a person of this world.
A week later, the two returned from their road trip.
They only had time to take a brief tour of the Jiangnan water towns.
The moment their plane landed, they went straight to the villa to pick up He Shenglin and bring him home.
When they arrived, it was just in time for sunset. Under the glow of the afterlight, the sky was painted with a stretch of red clouds.
Standing at the doorway, Jiang Rong sighed. “This sunset is really beautiful.”
He Siming held He Shenglin in one arm and Jiang Rong’s hand in the other. His gaze, as always, was focused entirely on Jiang Rong.
“Yes. Very beautiful.”
The setting sun stretched the shadows of the three of them long and far—just like their future, long and enduring.
They stood there for quite a while, but the weather was simply too hot to bear, so they went inside—it was more comfortable at home.
The front door opened, then closed, shutting the heat of the evening outside.
But faintly, they could still hear He Shenglin questioning his daddies.
“Daddy, why did you take so long to come pick me up this time? Do you not love me anymore?”
“Daddy loves you the most.”
“Mm.”
“But you still didn’t keep your promise.”
“I’m sorry. Daddy was wrong. Will you forgive Daddy this once?”
“But I’m a little angry.”
“I’ll make your favorite lion’s head meatballs tonight, okay?”
“…That’s acceptable.”
Home is forever the safe harbor for fragile humans.
