Chapter 85: Complete Marking
He Siming’s warm palm wrapped around Jiang Rong’s slender hand.
The two of them were wearing matching suits—the same design, the same style, yet with subtle differences.
On He Siming, the suit gave off an aloof, restrained coolness, while on Jiang Rong it revealed a gentle, jade-like warmth.
At this moment, however, there was not a trace of coldness about He Siming. When he looked at Jiang Rong, there was only a smile in his eyes as he led him onto the red carpet scattered with petals.
The guests were seated on both sides.
Today’s two grooms were undoubtedly the most eye-catching—and the most handsome—people present.
The live band at the wedding played The Wedding March. Six groomsmen in black suits stood behind them, escorting them toward the center of the ceremony.
This was their own wedding, and the entire process had been designed by He Siming himself.
The host raised the microphone.
“May the two newlyweds step forward to exchange wedding rings. Next, let us invite our little ring bearer to present the rings to the two grooms.”
The little ring bearer?
Jiang Rong looked at He Siming. “Ring bearer?”
He Siming smiled. “Mm.”
Jiang Rong was surprised. No wonder He Shenglin hadn’t wanted to sleep with him last night—so he’d been secretly plotting something with Big Daddy.
At that moment, a small figure in a beige suit walked steadily down the red carpet, trying very hard to stay calm, taking his short little steps toward the two grooms.
Jiang Rong watched as the child, hair slicked back to reveal a little face that looked seven parts like He Siming’s, approached them. It was basically a miniature version of He Siming.
So He Siming had been hiding such a surprise. Father and son had really worked hard to keep it from him.
Jiang Rong’s lips curved upward, and the smile refused to fade.
He Shenglin held two ring boxes and walked step by step to his dads.
He Siming and Jiang Rong both crouched down in front of him.
He Shenglin said, “Daddy, Big Daddy—happy wedding.”
Jiang Rong hugged him and kissed him. “Thank you, baby.”
He Siming took one of the rings and slipped it directly onto Jiang Rong’s ring finger.
Jiang Rong likewise put the ring onto He Siming’s hand.
With He Shenglin’s help, the two completed the ring exchange.
He Shenglin was very sensible. After delivering the rings, he took the initiative to step off the stage and head toward Grandpa and Grandma.
The host announced, “Please exchange a kiss.”
He Siming stepped forward, wrapped an arm around Jiang Rong’s waist, and the two leaned close, sharing a light, fleeting kiss on the lips.
Though they had begun with desire, known each other for three years, and kissed countless times, today’s kiss was lighter—and yet more heart-stirring than ever.
“Congratulations to the two of you on finding such a wonderful match. From now on, may you live in harmony, share hardships and prosperity alike, grow old together, and enjoy a lifetime of happiness.”
It was a wedding with a simplified process, yet no less solemn.
He Siming and Jiang Rong exchanged smiles.
They were finally married.
At this moment, everything was understood without words.
They both loved each other, but simply saying “love” felt too pale. Their shared future was the true continuation of that love.
Even if they could not obtain an official marriage certificate, with the witness and blessings of family and friends, wasn’t this just as much a grand wedding? Their marriage was just as real.
He Zhixian and Xu Mingqin canceled their planned speeches. This wedding, which He Siming had spent two years planning, was not something they wanted to overshadow.
Today’s reception was buffet-style. All the ingredients had been flown in from the mainland, with delicacies of every kind. Guests were free to choose whatever they liked.
He Siming and Jiang Rong had also invited classmates, senior schoolmates they’d worked with, and even university leaders and their class counselor.
Everyone treated it as a free vacation while offering the two newlyweds their heartfelt blessings.
Today’s protagonists were Jiang Rong and He Siming.
They were constantly being toasted. With elders, they were polite and respectful; with younger guests, they were more relaxed.
Many relatives who hadn’t been able to attend He Shenglin’s hundred-day banquet were here this time.
He Siming quietly replaced the wine in Jiang Rong’s glass with water.
Jiang Rong asked him, “Do we have around two hundred guests today?”
He Siming replied, “More than that. We counted—about three hundred.”
For that reason, they’d arranged several hundred security personnel on the island, just in case.
He Siming held this wedding because he wanted everyone to know that his partner was Jiang Rong—and only Jiang Rong.
He had never intended to hide it from anyone. In the future, they would meet many people and face many things. An open relationship, an open partner, was always better than secrecy—it saved countless troubles in between.
The banquet atmosphere was very free.
The last time Jiang Rong had seen so many people was at He Shenglin’s hundred-day banquet. Seeing it again, he felt calmer and more composed than before.
As elders, He Zhixian and Xu Mingqin thanked some of the notable figures who had attended.
During the banquet, famous pop singers and bands were invited to perform live. The young people from Qin University got to see stars up close—artists they could never get concert tickets for.
Jiang Rong and He Siming barely had a moment to rest all day.
They were constantly pulled into taking photos, until the number of guests gradually dwindled and they finally got a breather.
Many of the attendees were business elites, all extremely busy, most arriving by private jet or yacht.
Yao Shule, Li Yizhou, and the others were thoroughly dazzled—they’d gotten a glimpse of what the so-called world of wealthy families was like.
Not just them—Jiang Rong felt much the same. The He family truly was grand yet understated.
Today was his and He Siming’s joyous day, but it was a pity that his parents couldn’t be there to witness it. They had always wished for him to marry into a wealthy family. Now that the wish had come true, they knew nothing about it.
After three years in this world, Jiang Rong had long since made peace with the lack of parental affection in his past.
Now he had a partner who cherished him and a family he loved most. There was no need to dwell on unhappy people or events from before.
The wedding was exhausting—but worth it.
Jiang Rong received countless envious gazes and blessings.
In the afternoon, guests of means gradually departed, and the remaining guests were escorted off the island according to the He family’s arrangements.
After seeing off the last group of guests, He Siming and Jiang Rong finally had time to rest.
They had just finished two bowls of noodles the chef brought over when He Shenglin—who hadn’t spent the day with his dads—was led over by Grandma.
He had changed into comfortable casual clothes.
He Shenglin was still especially attached to Jiang Rong. As soon as he saw him, he ran into his arms. “Daddy.”
Jiang Rong had been thinking about his son all day. With so many people around, he’d been worried the child might get bumped.
Seeing the faint sleep marks on He Shenglin’s face and the slight redness on his cheeks, Jiang Rong touched his soft little face and pulled him onto his lap.
“Did you take a nap?” Jiang Rong asked.
He Shenglin nodded. “I did. I just woke up.”
Xu Mingqin, always straightforward, went straight to the point. “Your father and I will head back later. We’ll take Linlin home first. What are you two planning?”
He Siming looked to Jiang Rong. The remaining arrangements on the island didn’t require either of them, but He Siming had left their honeymoon plans entirely to Jiang Rong—and he still didn’t know what the itinerary was.
As soon as He Shenglin heard he’d be separated from his dads, reluctance showed clearly on his little face.
He pursed his lips slightly. “Daddy, aren’t you coming home with us?”
Jiang Rong was naturally reluctant too. “We’ll go home with you.”
This time, it was He Siming whose emotions were written plainly on his face. Father and son even had the exact same slight pout when unhappy.
He Siming raised an eyebrow at Jiang Rong. Weren’t they supposed to be on their honeymoon? Why were they still tied to He Shenglin?
Then Jiang Rong added, “We’ll head out again after we get back. Linlin gets uncomfortable on boats, so we’ll take him home first.”
Only then did He Siming realize it. With that reminder, he had no objections.
They tidied up and returned to the capital.
He Shenglin was still very young, and the return trip was tiring for him. Fortunately, they were on a private jet, and Jiang Rong and He Siming took turns caring for him.
It was already very late when they arrived home. He Siming carried the sound-asleep He Shenglin back to his room.
They returned to the He family home, not the place near Qin University.
Jiang Rong explained to He Zhixian and Xu Mingqin what He Shenglin had been liking to eat lately, what he enjoyed playing with, and what kinds of documentaries he liked to watch.
Xu Mingqin said, “Alright, I’ve got it. Leave Linlin to us without worry.”
Jiang Rong went back to the room to look at He Shenglin once more. He Siming had already changed him into pajamas and tucked him in.
Seeing how reluctant Jiang Rong was to leave, He Siming decisively pulled him away.
However, once he sat in the driver’s seat, He Siming found himself unsure where to go.
He asked Jiang Rong, who had just fastened his seatbelt, “Where are we going?”
Jiang Rong opened navigation on his phone. “Here.”
He Siming froze. “We’re staying at a hotel tonight?”
Jiang Rong nodded. “Mm.”
He Siming knew Jiang Rong wasn’t someone who particularly pursued material comfort, so He Siming usually arranged their food, clothing, and accommodation.
Jiang Rong didn’t like waste, but he wasn’t stingy either. This was the first time He Siming had seen him book the most expensive hotel in the entire capital—and he could feel how much Jiang Rong valued him.
The price for one night didn’t matter. What mattered was that Jiang Rong had personally chosen it.
He remembered that the top floor of this hotel overlooked the entire capital. As the place for their wedding night, He Siming was very satisfied.
They’d stay one night today, and tomorrow Jiang Rong would probably have other plans.
The whole drive, He Siming kept thinking about how Jiang Rong might arrange their week.
They’d already seen the sea and the stars. Next, would it be watching the sunrise together? Going to vast green grasslands? Sitting lazily in a small boat, leaning against each other while enjoying the scenery of Jiangnan’s waterways? Or experiencing traditional folk customs?
These were all things Jiang Rong had once told him he most wanted to see.
Seven days wouldn’t be enough. A month would probably be enough to visit three or four cities. As long as Jiang Rong liked it, He Siming would carve out all the time needed.
Returning from the pristine seaside to the capital’s neon-lit streets, He Siming found the view much more pleasing than before.
Jiang Rong had no idea what was going through He Siming’s mind.
He only knew that he was nervous—more nervous than when he’d walked the wedding carpet with He Siming that morning.
One focused intently on the accelerator, the other hiding an unspoken tension in his heart. At that moment, neither noticed anything amiss with the other.
When they arrived at the hotel, a private butler was already waiting and led them to the suite. However, He Siming and Jiang Rong declined further accompaniment. The butler understood and left the space to the two gentlemen.
He Siming thought they were just resting here for the night. He was more looking forward to what came next.
After setting down their luggage, He Siming finally noticed—Jiang Rong had been unusually quiet the entire way.
He Siming was holding the key card and pushing open the door.
The suite was split over two levels. The upper level led to a vantage point overlooking the night view, while the lower level was their living area, complete with an indoor hot spring pool.
The suite had been arranged according to Jiang Rong’s request. In the center of the large bed lay a pair of swans with intertwined necks.
He hadn’t chosen the hotel merely for rest, but because he wanted to…
He Siming asked Jiang Rong, “Tired? We can soak in the hot spring—it has massage features.”
“Okay.” Jiang Rong looked deeply at He Siming, then lowered his head shyly.
They really had been busy from morning until night, without a single pause. Now that they could finally relax, the fatigue set in.
The room’s air conditioning was cool, but it was still summer. He Siming lowered the water temperature a little.
Jiang Rong changed out of his clothes and walked step by step toward the tub, large enough to fit more than six people—practically a small swimming pool.
He Siming sat down beside him, sending ripples across the calm surface.
As soon as he drew close, he caught the scent of Jiang Rong’s pheromones.
He Siming lifted Jiang Rong’s chin and saw the shifting light in his eyes, his face slightly flushed.
“Jiang Rongrong, your pheromones have gotten stronger.” Didn’t that mean his heat was coming?
For a moment, He Siming didn’t know whether to feel happy or regretful that Jiang Rong’s plans might not work out—but delaying travel by a few days wouldn’t matter much.
“Mm.” Jiang Rong nodded, well aware of his own condition. He leaned closer to He Siming and kissed the corner of his lips.
“So… do we need to postpone the plans we arranged?” He Siming had held back all night before finally asking about their itinerary.
Now, with a heat cycle involved, adjustments would have to be made.
But Jiang Rong shook his head. “I didn’t book an itinerary. I only booked this hotel.”
“Hm?” He Siming raised his brows. This answer was completely unexpected. Only the hotel, no itinerary—so had Jiang Rong planned to stay here the whole time?
Before he could ask, Jiang Rong spoke first, arms looping around his neck. “Do you remember when I told you that Alphas have three ways of marking Omegas?”
“I remember.” He Siming did—everything related to Jiang Rong, he remembered. There were three kinds: temporary marking, incomplete marking, and complete marking.
So far, they’d only done temporary and incomplete markings. As for the third, Jiang Rong hadn’t brought it up again after mentioning it once. He Siming hadn’t thought much of it, nor could he imagine what a complete marking entailed.
Looking at him, Jiang Rong said, “He Siming, completely mark me.”
“What does complete marking mean?” He Siming didn’t agree impulsively. “You never explained it before. Will it cause you any harm?”
If it was important enough for Jiang Rong to give up their honeymoon trip—and to wait three whole years before bringing it up—then complete marking must be something very significant.
“It won’t,” Jiang Rong shook his head.
“Then what exactly is complete marking? And what happens afterward?” This was what He Siming cared about most. He would never allow himself to hurt Jiang Rong. Even one surgery had left him deeply afraid.
Meeting his gaze, Jiang Rong explained, “Complete marking is a lifelong mark from an Alpha to an Omega. You know—temporary markings fade, incomplete markings can be washed away. But once it’s a lifelong mark, my pheromones will only accept yours. No other Alpha will ever be able to mark me. I will belong to you alone.”
He Siming found the idea incredibly tempting. Jiang Rong’s pheromones tangled around his rationality, and if this went on, he’d soon lose control.
He was also surprised that there were still so many Alpha–Omega physiological details he didn’t know. At this moment, curiosity overtook him entirely.
“So all those times we’ve done it… none of them counted as complete marking?” He Siming asked.
“No,” Jiang Rong replied.
“Then what do I have to do for it to count as completely marking you?”
Jiang Rong said softly, “You… you have to control your pheromones so they form a knot in my reproductive cavity. And it can only happen during a heat cycle.”
He Siming frowned slightly. “So that means I have to go all the way in—and it might not succeed the first time?”
Jiang Rong nodded, his face faintly red. “Mm.” The wording was crude, but it was the truth.
“Anything else?” He Siming asked.
“No.” Jiang Rong pressed closer to him, the water between them gently swaying.
There actually was more—but he couldn’t tell He Siming, lest it burden him mentally.
He Siming knew him too well. Stroking Jiang Rong’s back soothingly, he said, “I think you didn’t finish.”
Jiang Rong said nothing. He bit down on He Siming’s lip, his gaze hazy yet resolute.
“He Siming, completely mark me. Possess me forever.”
“Okay.” He Siming responded to his kiss. He figured Jiang Rong must have been preparing for this day for a long time. “I’ll always be your Alpha.”
