Chapter 352: Extra (14)

While drifting in the Dream Sea, Tang Yu’an and Zhou Qi had already agreed on their cover story.

So when Li Zhecheng questioned them, the two exchanged a glance, and Tang Yu’an spoke first.

“Hello, we are wandering merchants from another world,” he said. “You can call me Tang.”

“Zhou.” Zhou Qi contributed only a single word.

Li Zhecheng looked at them, feeling he didn’t quite understand.

“Wandering merchants from another world?” He mulled over the phrase. “So you’re saying you’re not people of our Axin Star?”

Tang Yu’an nodded instinctively, then paused slightly.

Was this Captain Li misunderstanding something?

But wasn’t this supposed to be a magical world? Could it be that they had already advanced into space—aware that they lived on a planet, and had even met aliens?

Tang Yu’an wondered if he was just overthinking.

“Excuse me…” At that moment, the soldiers standing in the distance approached. Their leader asked, “Where are those interstellar beasts?”

They call the beasts ‘interstellar beasts’? So this civilization really has entered the interstellar era!

This was a bit different from the magical civilization Tang Yu’an had imagined.

Zhou Qi replied, “The herd has been blocked outside. As long as you stay inside the barrier, you’ll be safe.”

Li Zhecheng immediately ordered scouts to investigate, while the rest stayed to rest and treat the wounded.

Thus, Tang Yu’an and Zhou Qi witnessed the healing magic of this world.

“That’s Water Healing Art,” Little Round Biscuit explained to them. “It’s… so weak.”

His mental sweep across the thousand-man troop showed that although they were all Elementalists, very few were even at two-star level—let alone above that.

It seemed that aside from Ciasa, Elementalists elsewhere were also restricted.

Since there were many injured, Tang Yu’an joined the rescue efforts. When he used Light Healing, Li Zhecheng couldn’t help widening his eyes.

It wasn’t that he was shocked that Tang Yu’an was a Light-type Elementalist.

After all, from their appearances alone, it was obvious that these two young “wandering merchants,” like the child called Iso, were distinctly different from the locals.

They were likely outsiders, and anyone capable of roaming freely in the wilds of Axin Star had to be very powerful. It wasn’t surprising for them to have some sort of advantage.

What truly astonished Li Zhecheng was…

The Light Healing Art Tang Yu’an used definitely reached a two-star level or higher.

How was that possible?

In the Roland Empire today, aside from the Empire’s Guardian God, Si Sheng, there wasn’t a single Elementalist above two stars.

But then again…

Since the Marshal himself was already an exception, having one more exception… wasn’t that strange either?

Although curious about these two visitors from beyond the skies, Li Zhecheng did not forget the mission.

“How many survivors are left in the Ciasa Dense Forest?” Li Zhecheng asked Iso. “Bring them all here. We’ll go home together!”

Iso stared at the blood-covered, imposing-looking captain before him, stunned.

He was a child who had grown up in the underground city. In his entire life, he had never, until today, stood so openly and proudly on the surface.

Although the elders often told them how powerful Roland had once been, how prosperous their homeland used to be, he simply could not imagine it.

How could one imagine something they had never seen?

Yet today—through this thousand-strong troop of Elementalists, through their combat skills and discipline—Iso finally felt it!

“I—I’ll go call everyone…!”

Iso turned and sprinted toward the underground city’s entrance. He had to tell Grandpa Chris, he had to tell his parents, he had to tell everyone

Ciasa had not been abandoned!

The Roland Empire had sent people to bring them home!

Watching Iso run off in a panic, Tang Yu’an felt it was a bit of a pity, but he didn’t stop him.

Their original plan in coming here was to bring the survivors of the underground city to the Giants’ Plane. But if they now had a better option, they couldn’t force them.

After all, if you had a choice, who would willingly leave their homeland?

Seeing Iso leave to gather people, Little Round Biscuit immediately became conflicted.

He didn’t want Turs to be limited by the star-level restriction any longer, but this—Roland sending military forces to pick them up—was enormous news. If they didn’t tell Turs, he would definitely be angry.

The little fairy hesitated for a moment, then pulled Tang Yu’an and Zhou Qi into the RV, away from everyone’s eyes, and asked for their thoughts.

“I think we should still discuss it with Turs,” Tang Yu’an said. “Don’t worry—Turs is someone who keeps his word. Since he promised to establish an inscription academy on our homeland, he’ll definitely do it.”

The little fairy was eventually convinced.

While Iso returned to organize people and the Roland soldiers rested in place, they used the teleportation array to return home and explained everything to Turs in detail—of course including Little Round Biscuit’s worries and concerns.

Turs had never expected that all the good things would happen on the same day!

The Roland army they had yearned for over so many years had actually arrived! Roland had not fallen!

“Little Tang, Little Zhou—how can I ever thank you enough!”

Having seen the power of the Guardian Barrier in their homeland, and hearing that they used it to save the Roland soldiers, Turs did not doubt them at all—only felt overwhelming gratitude.

He very much wanted to rush back at once to learn about the outside world from the Roland military, but…

Seeing Little Round Biscuit’s worried expression, Turs finally restrained himself.

He took out paper and pen and wrote down a list of names.

“These individuals are all limited by Elementalist-level restrictions. They’ve been unable to break through and their lifespans are nearly at their end. I hope you can allow them to live here.”

As for the rest, Turs still hoped they would return to the Roland Empire.

The inscriptionist civilization of Ciasa needed to be inherited in Roland—it must not be allowed to disappear!

“Once I complete the portable teleportation array, they’ll be able to move freely between Roland and the underground city. It’ll be much easier for them to return whenever they want.”

Though… cross-plane teleportation was not easy to construct.

“We’ll still be in your world for a while,” Tang Yu’an said. “During this time, we can authorize you to use the cross-plane teleportation array.”

When they traveled to other planes later, it wouldn’t be so convenient.

Turs, however, was quite at ease. He had already preserved the bloodline of Ciasa and ensured the inheritance of inscriptionists—that was enough to fulfill his mission.

From now on, he could focus entirely on inscription studies.

This world’s elemental energy was abundant, their homeland was peaceful and comfortable, and there were many materials he had never seen—it was the perfect place for inscription research and magical experiments.

Once the underground city’s people were settled, he could begin setting up his workshop.

Thus, the people of Ciasa’s underground city were divided into two groups:

One group stayed, while the other followed the Roland troops away.

Tang Yu’an also wanted to visit the Roland Empire, but since matters in Ciasa were not fully settled, he remained for now.

“Captain Li, we’ll come find you,” he waved goodbye to Li Zhecheng and the others. “You go on ahead—we’ll catch up soon.”

Because a transaction had been made, and he had already marked them with light points, he wasn’t worried at all about losing track of them.

Although Li Zhecheng didn’t understand why they wanted to stay behind, he could clearly see these two were no ordinary people—

What kind of ordinary person would casually take out so many high-quality magic crystals?!

Li Zhecheng patted his now bulging chest pouch, filled with the assorted magic crystals he had traded for from Tang Yu’an.

“Then we’ll meet again!”

He then led his troops back toward the Roland border to report.

Once they were gone, Tang Yu’an also got to work—

Thanks to Turs’s gift, he now had ownership of the entire Ciasa underground city and could establish a branch store there!

Everything after that was simple.

He traded with the underground city’s residents, upgraded the shop and the Guardian Barrier, and in doing so gave the entire underground city true protection.

Even if it became an empty city in the future, they would no longer need to fear interstellar beasts.

Once everything was done, Tang Yu’an switched the RV to flight mode and rushed after Li Zhecheng’s group.

When they caught up, the troops had just exited the range of the Guardian Barrier.

The beast horde swarmed again. They fought as they retreated—until suddenly, the interstellar beasts they were battling disappeared before their eyes again.

Li Zhecheng instinctively looked around, but didn’t see the RV. Instead…

He stared at the massive object descending slowly from the sky, his mouth falling open.

These two wandering merchants were too wealthy! They actually owned a spaceship?!

Seeing even the flying interstellar beasts—those that dominated the skies and caused them massive trouble on their march—mysteriously vanished, Li Zhecheng’s mouth couldn’t help but twitch.

These people weren’t wandering at all. They were clearly on vacation!
