Chapter 350: Extra (12)
“Wow, the elemental concentration in your world is so high!”
Back in Xisa’s underground city again, Little Round Biscuit sighed from the heart.
As a fairy, it was far more sensitive to elemental fluctuations than humans. After shuttling back and forth between two worlds, the difference felt even more pronounced.
“I wonder what’s wrong with the Elemental Spirit…” the little fairy murmured.
“Elemental Spirit?”
Tang Yu’an instantly pictured the pointy-eared elves he’d seen in films, but then heard the little fairy say, “Yes, They are the deity who governs elements.”
“In the past, the elemental concentration of our world was extremely high—pretty much the same as yours.”
Little Round Biscuit sounded a little melancholy. “Something must’ve happened to the Elemental Spirit! It’s all because of those damned exotic beasts!”
There were actually gods in this world!
Tang Yu’an’s interest was immediately piqued, but just as he was about to ask more, a piercing alarm suddenly blared.
Little Round Biscuit visibly panicked.
Tang Yu’an quickly asked, “What’s that sound?”
“Enemy attack!”
As soon as the little fairy finished speaking, the alarm stopped—and was replaced by music.
They were currently in Turs’s workshop. From a table in the corner, a small orb floated over.
It was the light-brain Turs used for trading with them.
The orb stopped in front of the fairy, and a light curtain popped open. A young man with red hair and red eyes appeared.
“Little Round Biscuit, where’s Teacher?” the young man asked anxiously.
“Iso, has an exotic beast invaded the underground city?” The little fairy didn’t answer him directly, but asked instead.
Iso shook his head. “Not exotic beasts—looks like someone broke in!”
Tang Yu’an and Zhou Qi had already opened the map.
Sure enough, there were no red danger markers in the underground city—but the number of green points had increased.
Little Round Biscuit blinked in confusion.
“You mean… humans?”
“Yes!”
“There are surviving humans outside? People from Xisa?”
“I’m not sure either…”
Iso had grown up in the underground city. He had never met any outsiders before. “They triggered the mechanisms and set off the alarm, and now they’re trapped in our inscribed-pattern traps!”
“What should we do now?” Iso asked. “Where’s Teacher? Can we call him over to take a look?”
The little fairy frowned.
After waiting so many years without seeing a single other human… why did people show up the moment Turs left?
Turs had only just regained his youth. Little Round Biscuit really didn’t want him to become old again. Every time he thought about Turs eventually dying of old age, he couldn’t help but feel miserable.
He also knew that if he informed Turs, the man would definitely return no matter what…
After thinking for a moment, the little fairy said, “Turs is gone for now. I’ll go check first.”
“Okay! Please come quickly!”
The little fairy shut off the light-brain, then called Tang Yu’an and Zhou Qi. “You two come as well.”
Since they were here to bring Iso and the others to the new world anyway, the two naturally agreed.
They followed behind the fairy and flew out of Turs’s workshop.
As they passed through a certain room, a system notification suddenly appeared before Tang Yu’an—
[You have entered a special zone. Please exercise caution.]
As the message appeared, their bodies shrank after crossing the doorway, stopping only when they were about the same size as the little fairy.
So this was the fairy world?
Seeing the surroundings enlarged around him, Tang Yu’an felt as though he had returned to the giant’s plane.
“How long will it take to fly there?” he couldn’t help asking.
“We’re teleporting, so it’ll be quick.” Little Round Biscuit flapped its wings and flew toward a lamp pillar embedded into the wall.
Behind the pillar was a small opening. Tang Yu’an and Zhou Qi exchanged a glance, and then Tang Yu’an released a ball of light as the two followed the fairy inside.
“You’re a light-elementalist?” the fairy exclaimed. “That’s a rare talent.”
Tang Yu’an gave an embarrassed smile, but his gaze fell on the center of the small tunnel—where an exquisitely carved, familiar-looking sigil lay on a stone slab.
“A teleportation array? Turs can carve teleportation arrays?”
Little Round Biscuit gave them a strange look. “Of course. A teleportation array is also a type of inscription. But since we don’t have enough magic crystal stones, Turs only carved these miniature ones in the fairy world.”
Tang Yu’an thought of the fairy’s palm-sized body and couldn’t help thinking—This isn’t miniature… this is microscopic.
His gaze lingered on the teleportation array, his eyes gleaming.
If they could master the method of setting teleportation arrays, they wouldn’t need to open a new branch every time they installed one.
They could even sell them as products—the government of Huaxia would definitely be interested. Other worlds too!
But Tang Yu’an didn’t ask for now. Turs and the elders were already at their home—they had time to learn in the future.
They stood on the teleportation array. With a flash of light, they vanished.
When Tang Yu’an could see again, they were already in another small tunnel, and the little fairy called out “Follow me!” before darting out.
Tang Yu’an and Zhou Qi quickly flew after him.
This teleportation array was also hidden in a crack of a wall. The room outside seemed to be a cultivation chamber—large and small mushrooms grew densely in the dim, damp stone chamber.
Once they flew out, they saw a miniature city built inside the stone chamber—
Of course, since they were currently under the influence of the “Fairy World” inscriptions, their bodies were in a shrunken state—so this city still appeared normal-sized to their eyes.
Below them, people were waving.
These people were likely not elementalists, or at least not wind-type, so they couldn’t fly like the others.
The little fairy led Tang Yu’an and Zhou Qi down toward them.
“Iso, how’s the situation? How many came?” Little Round Biscuit asked the person in front.
“About six or seven entered the underground city. It seems there are more on the surface, but I’m not sure how many.” Iso replied. “The ones who came inside have already been trapped by the inscribed-pattern traps.”
After speaking, the red-haired youth’s gaze shifted to Tang Yu’an and Zhou Qi.
“These two are…?” Iso asked, a little stunned.
Little Round Biscuit nodded. “They’re the mysterious merchants who have been helping Xisa all this time—Tang and Zhou.”
Iso and the others around him couldn’t hide their excitement.
They were curious how Tang Yu’an and Zhou Qi had managed to reach the underground city, but now clearly wasn’t the time for that.
“Take us to see the intruders first,” the little fairy said.
“Right! Please follow me!”
Iso led the way, with Tang Yu’an and Zhou Qi following behind. Through a teleportation array, they arrived at another stone chamber.
From the little fairy’s explanation, they learned that the underground city’s teleportation arrays had fixed destinations. Each array could link to only one corresponding array, unlike the ones in the general store, which could link to multiple.
Even so, it was still far faster than traveling on foot!
Under the little fairy’s spell, Iso temporarily gained the ability to fly. Leading the group forward, they soon saw a tall and long staircase.
“They came in from the underground city entrance?”
“Yes.”
This was the outer perimeter of the underground city, naturally also enveloped by the “Fairy World.” Any creature entering from outside would be miniaturized immediately.
Aside from that, there were the various inscribed traps.
Because inscriptions were not living beings, they were unaffected by the “Fairy World.” As long as they were created beforehand and transported here, their strength would increase tenfold or more.
Being cautious, Iso didn’t rush forward. Instead, he took Tang Yu’an and the others to hide and observe the people trapped in the inscriptions.
Judging by their attire, they seemed to be…
“They look like they’re wearing Roland military uniforms?” Little Round Biscuit said in surprise. “Did Roland send troops here?”
“It seems so.”
This time it was Tang Yu’an who responded.
He’d already seen on the map that, besides the six people trapped, there were at least a thousand green points on the surface.
Now that they’d reached the staircase, they could even feel faint tremors from above—clearly, those thousand people were battling the exotic beasts on the surface!
“Is it really a human army?”
Little Round Biscuit looked bewildered. “It’s been so many years… does the Roland Empire still exist? And what a coincidence—they appear right at this moment.”
“Yeah, quite a coincidence.”
Tang Yu’an nodded with a smile. “But isn’t this great?”
This way, they could finally visit a true magic world!
Beside him, Zhou Qi glanced at Tang Yu’an, then quietly looked away.
Yes… a coincidence indeed…
