Chapter 27: Order Cards (2)
“Su Qiong, what did you figure out?”
“I figured out how the Order Cards work!”
The moment Su Qiong finished speaking, everyone turned toward him and waited for a detailed explanation.
“Let’s hear it.” ERROR folded his arms, the corner of his lips curved in a faint, unreadable smile.
“The cards given by the World of Order are logically connected. According to the NPC who guided us into the amusement park, every choice we make will trigger an Order Card.” Su Qiong looked at the two cards floating in the air, his eyes shining. “Extending that statement means there’s no action in the World of Order that doesn’t trigger an order.”
A rested his fingers against his chin thoughtfully. “I think I understand.”
“What do you understand?” Shi Yuntian looked at him, then at Lu Shufan. “Don’t tell me you understand too.”
“A little.” Lu Shufan looked at Shi Yuntian sympathetically. “Boss Shi, try bringing your brain when you play games.”
Shi Yuntian’s face darkened after being humiliated.
“Fuck! I’ll cut down every riddling bastard with one slash!”
Su Qiong looked at him aggrievedly. “I was only trying to figure out how to explain it.”
Shi Yuntian: “…”
He had cursed too soon. Look how wronged the marshmallow was.
After organizing his thoughts, Su Qiong continued, “Based on that premise, we can assume that if ‘tickets must be checked thirty minutes in advance’ is a True Order and ‘tickets must be checked within five minutes’ is a False Order, then there would be a twenty-five-minute gap between them.”
According to the rules of the World of Order, violating a True Order would result in punishment.
Once the punishment ended, it would be roughly equivalent to that True Order no longer applying.
Only the False Order would remain. No one would trigger it, so everyone would have their tickets checked during the empty twenty-five-minute period.
Nothing would be triggered during that time.
But according to Su Qiong’s deduction, no action could exist without triggering an order.
“I think the answer should be the other way around.” After finishing, Su Qiong patiently asked, “Do you understand?”
Shi Yuntian answered sluggishly, “Oh. So thirty minutes is the False Order, while five minutes is the True Order. We need to have our tickets checked during the five-minute window before our turn.”
“Correct.” Su Qiong nodded in satisfaction.
The players at the front of the line had been closely observing Su Qiong’s group. After hearing the conclusion, they hesitantly looked at the tickets in their hands.
Players automatically received admission tickets before entering the amusement park. Their carousel sessions differed according to their arrival times.
The players currently mounting the horses belonged to the first group and enjoyed the privilege of not needing their tickets checked.
According to the NPC operating the carousel, each group received thirty minutes of ride time, followed by a five-minute break.
If Su Qiong was correct, the later groups needed only to hand their tickets to the attendant during the previous group’s break.
But if he was wrong…
The first group had already been riding for more than four minutes. In just a few seconds, less than half an hour would remain before the second group’s turn.
If Su Qiong’s deduction was incorrect, the second group would be punished.
“Let’s gamble,” a player near the front whispered.
“Mm. A white-name NPC shouldn’t deceive us.”
“…But his name is pink.”
After several rounds of discussion, the second group gripped their tickets tightly, their sweaty palms dampening the paper.
The ticket attendant paced back and forth before them, deliberately heightening the tension.
Time passed second by second. The second group clenched their teeth and refused to hand over their tickets.
A timer hung from the thick central pillar of the carousel. Its scale displayed only thirty-five minutes.
Click.
Under everyone’s watchful gaze, the minute hand passed the five-minute mark.
The ticket attendant continued pacing beside them.
Nothing happened.
The members of the second group clutched their chests, their legs nearly giving out. Every face showed the relief of someone who had narrowly escaped disaster.
At the back of the line, Shi Yuntian looked astonished.
“So it really can be deduced!”
“There are still so many players ahead of us acting as test subjects. Clearing this attraction won’t be difficult at all!”
The lower-ranked players began feeling smug, believing they had entered a safe zone. They openly complained that the Circle world was not difficult.
Their confidence lasted only a few seconds.
Several NPCs dressed in kangaroo costumes came hopping toward them.
The kangaroos divided their work efficiently, each jumping in front of one group and signaling for them to move away from the carousel.
A purple kangaroo hopped in front of Su Qiong. A large number five was written across the pouch on its chest, indicating that Su Qiong’s group was the fifth to ride.
The purple kangaroo “thoughtfully” reminded them, “The carousel is about to start. It may [beep, beep, beep…], and then [beep, beep, beep…]. Please enter my pouch immediately for shelter, or else [beep, beep, beep…].”
Even though most of the purple kangaroo’s sentence had been censored by the system, everyone could still tell that it had said something extremely alarming.
The word “shelter” alone sounded very ominous.
Everyone simultaneously looked toward the carousel.
Just how terrifying was that thing when it operated?
Before the players could decide whether to take shelter, another card appeared.
This card’s reverse side differed from the previous ones. It shimmered with silver-white light, and the faint outline of the number three could be seen within its pattern.
Su Qiong tapped his bracelet and triggered a new hint.
[Hint: Silver cards represent confirmed True Orders. The number indicates the order’s tier.]
“A Tier-Three True Order.”
It was the highest-tier order they had encountered so far.
That meant violating this card would result in a punishment even more severe than the previous ones.
A line was written on the front:
[Visitors who are not riding the carousel must enter a kangaroo’s pouch for shelter.]
The players: “…”
Fine. They had no choice.
The purple kangaroo opened its pouch, revealing a spacious alternate-dimensional space.
Su Qiong released a long breath of relief.
If the inside had contained the kangaroo’s organs and intestines, Su Qiong would have resisted with everything he had and refused to enter even if it killed him.
“Let’s go in.”
Everyone entered the pouch space one after another.
The kangaroo closed its pouch, but the sounds outside remained clearly audible.
“The amusement park is worried that you’ll become bored inside, so we’ve preserved some ambient sound for you,” the purple kangaroo explained.
As screams and wails rose one after another, accompanied by the system’s cold announcements of “True Order violated,” “False Order triggered,” and “punishment administered,” the entire group fell speechless.
Thank you.
You preserved the atmosphere exceptionally well.
“Let’s discuss this.” As guild leader, Yu Qimiao naturally took charge of organizing them. “The system separated and confined every group because it doesn’t want later players to determine the clearing method by watching those ahead.”
“That’s right,” Lu Shufan said. “The previous rules were probably part of the tutorial.”
Qiyi and Moi hugged each other and spoke in unison. “We no longer have an opportunity for trial and error. What should we do next?”
Su Qiong held his face and racked his brain.
ERROR and A showed no intention of speaking.
“I think…” Shi Yuntian attempted to offer an opinion.
“You don’t need to think, Boss Shi!” Lu Shufan interrupted.
“Next,” Yu Qimiao said.
Shi Yuntian: Was this bullying within the team?
His fists tightened.
Yu Qimiao turned toward the two people who remained detached from the group and had offered no opinions.
“Mr. A, Mr. ERROR, do you have any thoughts about the next task?”
“Thinking,” A replied with two words, redirecting the conversation toward ERROR.
ERROR shifted into a more comfortable position and looked at them leisurely. “You’re asking me?”
Meeting his gaze, Yu Qimiao suddenly felt a headache coming on.
Even after being weakened to Level 0, ERROR remained extremely difficult to deal with.
He was entirely different from A.
A openly displayed his isolation and dislike of crowds.
ERROR, however, always smiled and appeared easy to approach.
Yet he was impossible to read, predict, or assess.
But they had no alternative.
If they wanted to clear the instance and survive, they needed ERROR’s strength.
Yu Qimiao forced himself to speak. “Mr. ERROR.”
“First, my name isn’t Mr. ERROR.” With screams continuing outside, ERROR somehow had the leisure to introduce himself. “The ID I originally entered was rejected by the system, so it assigned me this name instead.”
“Huh?” Su Qiong stared at him blankly. “The system has censored words? What was it?”
“My real name is [beep, beep, beep…].”
ERROR stated his real name and received the same censorship treatment.
Su Qiong became even more confused.
Who exactly was ERROR for the system to target him so aggressively?
ERROR spread his hands helplessly. “Until I’m able to state my real name, you’ll have to address me by my ID. My apologies.”
“Why does the system censor your name?” Su Qiong asked.
“There’s no particularly special reason.” ERROR answered casually, “After all, I’m merely an ordinary programmer.”
“Wow!” Su Qiong exclaimed.
A programmer!
A programmer who could help him improve his code!
Everyone else became even more confused.
Compared with a future billionaire, the strongest living weapon, or a world champion, the profession of programmer sounded far too ordinary.
Why would the system need to target one?
ERROR added, “I was responsible for creating IN OFF’s original program.”
“What?!”
“So you’re the source of all this evil!”
“Let me out of here!”
“Wait. Allow me to explain.” ERROR continued, “I did provide IN OFF with its initial operating program, but several bugs appeared later. The internal system developed self-awareness, resulting in so many people being dragged into the game.”
ERROR’s handsome face displayed a sincere and harmless expression.
“I entered the game to correct that mistake.”
Was that truly the case?
Everyone expressed their doubts.
“As you can see, the system rejects me strongly. That’s why I can’t obtain skills or weapons dropped by NPCs. Even my real name can’t be displayed.” ERROR laughed softly. “But I’m not angry.”
“Why?” Su Qiong asked.
ERROR’s smile faded, and his voice lowered slightly. “This is merely a rebellious, unfilial child’s minor resistance against his father.”
The moment he finished speaking, Su Qiong directly sensed the system’s fear through the main server.
The main system was afraid of ERROR.
That explained why it restricted him so viciously.
ERROR was the father of IN OFF. His very existence posed an enormous threat to the main system.
“Your deduction earlier was certainly excellent.” ERROR’s gaze fell on Su Qiong’s face.
Although he said “your” collectively, his attention was directed only at Su Qiong.
“However, Circle instances aren’t so easy to understand.”
“Oh.” Su Qiong instinctively moved closer and urgently asked, “For example? What do you know?”
He leaned so close that ERROR could feel his breath.
The little marshmallow had only just obtained a body and had not yet adapted to it. He possessed no sense of personal space whatsoever.
His neckline hung extremely low. If ERROR lowered his eyes even slightly, he could see everything.
“Although the world of IF has evolved far beyond what I originally designed, its basic patterns still follow the framework I created.” ERROR shifted back slightly and reminded him, “The two sets of cards you encountered earlier each contained one True and one False Order, with one overriding the other. But what happens when you encounter a different situation?”
“That’s right.” Su Qiong finally understood why something had felt strange, as though several turns in the logic refused to connect.
He moved closer to ERROR again. “What else? Tell me more.”
“Su Qiong.” Unable to tolerate it any longer, Yu Qimiao forcibly pulled Su Qiong away. “Don’t stand so close when you speak to someone.”
Su Qiong looked confused. “I was always like this before. What’s wrong?”
“…”
Everything was wrong!
From Yu Qimiao’s perspective, it looked like a newborn lamb insisting on crawling into a wolf’s den and cuddling against the fiercest wolf inside.
“All right.” Although Su Qiong did not understand the reason, he obediently agreed and urged ERROR to continue with his gaze.
“The two sets of cards that appeared earlier certainly served as demonstrations. However, the demonstration was highly misleading. It could easily create habitual thinking, causing players to assume that two cards appearing simultaneously must consist of one True and one False Order, and that the True Order must override the False one.”
“But,” ERROR continued, “what if both cards are true? Or both are false?”
“That is indeed possible,” Yu Qimiao said, supporting his chin.
A added at the appropriate moment, “The cards also have different tiers. We still don’t know how the eight tiers are ranked.”
“The more you talk, the more complicated this game sounds.” Shi Yuntian’s brain was close to fucking exploding.
“Actually, determining the card tiers is only the most basic step.” Su Qiong slowly reminded them, “Do you remember the main quest?”
The main quest of the World of Order was not riding the carousel.
It was collecting cards and challenging the Order Staircase.
So far, they had encountered several cards but had been unable to collect even one.
What were the rules for obtaining cards?
The guide NPC had said that completing an amusement-park attraction correctly would grant them one opportunity to ask an instance NPC to verify a card’s tier.
Setting aside how to earn that opportunity, Su Qiong was even more confused about why verification was necessary.
The Circle world truly was far more complicated than the world outside.
They had entered only a few minutes ago, yet Su Qiong had already accumulated countless questions.
The screams and system announcements gradually faded.
The first group had either passed or failed completely.
Based on Su Qiong’s estimate, far less than half an hour had passed.
The probability that they had cleared the attraction was nearly nonexistent.
The purple kangaroo opened its pouch and said, “The carousel is now resting. Players may leave the pouch and move freely.”
The group exchanged glances and decided to investigate outside.
The moment they stepped from the pouch, they were met by the broad back of the operator NPC, which completely blocked their view.
The operator had deliberately chosen their blind spot. Su Qiong could not see the carousel and could only see the two cards attached to the operator’s back.
[System: Please remove the True Order Card.]
The card on the left read:
[Once the carousel begins operating, it will not stop.]
The card on the right read:
[The carousel rests for five minutes after each operation.]
“Which one should we take?”
“The right one, obviously!” Shi Yuntian answered without thinking. “The carousel runs for half an hour and rests for five minutes. That’s common sense.”
Moi and Qiyi pressed their faces together, intertwined all ten fingers, and closed their eyes to listen carefully.
After a while, they told Su Qiong, “There’s no sound of the axle turning.”
When a carousel rotated, its horses were pulled in a circular motion by an axle.
Since Moi and Qiyi, who could hear the voices of minds, heard nothing, the axle driving the carousel was not moving.
“All right. I trust you.” Su Qiong reached toward the right-hand card, preparing to take the one stating that the carousel rested for five minutes.
“Wait.” A stopped him. “Your level is too low. I’ll take it.”
Su Qiong instantly understood.
If they chose the wrong card, they would undoubtedly face punishment. Su Qiong’s level was so low that even the slightest impact could kill him.
Among every member of the Orphan Alliance, aside from Moi, who had been trapped inside a white fruit, all had participated in the sacrifice and were now similarly weak.
Although Moi had not sacrificed herself, she possessed only half a life and could not be relied upon.
After weighing the situation, having A, the most physically capable person present, take the card was the safest choice.
“Do you want to think about it again?” Su Qiong moved aside and reminded him nervously.
Although A was powerful, every time Su Qiong closed his eyes, he could still picture the frail figure who had been swallowed by a monster and struggled even to move his fingers.
“No need.” A was fearless. “It doesn’t matter if we choose incorrectly. The system is cunning. We can’t possibly make the right choice every time.”
Experienced players knew that mistakes made early in a game usually carried smaller consequences.
“Then shouldn’t you choose the left one?” Lu Shufan muttered.
No one responded.
A reached toward the card with one hand and toward the chain at his waist with the other.
ERROR flexed his wrist and slowly ran his tongue across one sharp canine tooth.
He raised his eyes and stared directly at the operator, who stood as tall as a three-story building. A faint light flashed within his flaxen irises.
“Prepare yourselves,” A warned.
He decisively tore down the card stating that the carousel rested for five minutes.
The system immediately announced:
[Player [Blank ID] has triggered a Tier-Two False Order. Punishment will now be administered.]
After the announcement ended, the towering, muscular operator turned around.
As he moved, everyone looked toward the carousel platform.
The axle truly was not operating, but the horses remained in place, silently cleaning the blood and fragments of limbs from beneath their hooves as though they were alive.
The “horses” had not stopped.
They were indeed still operating.
The once-colorful carousel platform had been completely overtaken by endless bloodstains. It was not difficult to imagine what had happened moments earlier.
The operator’s enormous hand pressed downward as he made a strange sound.
“I’m going to begin the punishment. Who should I punish? Would all of you like to receive it together?”
A tightened his grip on the silver whip and prepared to move.
ERROR acted faster.
He raised one index finger and stopped the operator’s descending hand.
“I have a question.” ERROR looked at him, still smiling and showing no concern for his own life. “Is order immutable?”
Hearing that, the operator stopped moving and glared at ERROR with an extremely dangerous expression.
ERROR continued, “Or does a False Order remain false forever?”
“…”
The operator’s expression became even stranger. His face turned ashen, but he did not answer.
At the same time, Su Qiong received a system guidance notification.
[System: Congratulations to Player ERROR for triggering the advanced gameplay mode: Order War.]
[Gameplay Description: After triggering a card, players may initiate an Order War against the card’s guardian. If the player wins, the card will be converted into a True or False Order of the corresponding tier. If the player loses, they must receive triple punishment.]
A glanced at the system prompt and initiated an Order War against the operator without hesitation.
The operator became furious and angrily attacked A.
A reacted far faster. His silver whip wrapped around the operator’s wrist.
He did not immediately continue. Instead, he turned and asked Su Qiong, “Defeating him is enough, correct?”
“Mm.” Su Qiong gave a definite answer. “No matter what an instance’s rules are, defeating the NPC is always a method of clearing it. But…”
Su Qiong checked the operator’s level.
It displayed a red-name Level 24, twenty full levels higher than A’s current level.
Within IF’s worldview, the difference was practically heaven and earth.
“Finally, it’s my fucking turn to be useful.” Shi Yuntian drew his heavy blade and charged toward the operator, hacking directly at him.
Yu Qimiao had originally intended to wait for the operator to announce the rules.
When he turned around, however, he discovered that every teammate had already rushed forward.
Before joining the fight, Qiyi specifically instructed Su Qiong, “Stay farther away. Let my sister protect you.”
The twins shared an ability and linked their lives.
When they encountered danger, usually only one of them charged into battle while the other remained in a safe area and desperately preserved their life.
Protected by a thirteen-year-old girl, Su Qiong watched blankly as Qiyi joined the battlefield.
Although the Orphan Alliance contained elite players and brilliant strategists, everyone’s strength had been drastically weakened.
Furthermore, ERROR and A were both deliberately restricted by the system.
Facing the Level 24 operator, they could not kill him instantly and had to use tactics to wear him down slowly.
The operator was still a leveled NPC and possessed an overwhelming advantage. He soon gained the upper hand.
Su Qiong gradually recovered from his shock and tightened his grip on his wand.
Although he had no abilities, he possessed a weapon now.
“I still don’t know how to use it.” Su Qiong gripped the wand and clenched his teeth. “I’ll try.”
His new body remained light. He found a blind spot within the operator’s range of attack, tightened his grip, and swung the wand forcefully, intending to knock the NPC unconscious through physical impact.
However, when the wand descended, Su Qiong felt no shock from a collision.
The vines wound around its tip unraveled, rapidly growing and spreading like tentacles as they tightly restrained the operator.
The tassels beneath transformed into bandages and precisely wrapped around the operator’s wrists, preventing his next movement.
Meanwhile, the wand shaft in Su Qiong’s hand vanished and transformed into an enormous coffin, preparing to swallow the operator into an alternate dimension.
“…”
The world fell silent.
The operator turned and saw the coffin.
His face immediately went pale. He surrendered and took the False Order Card from A’s hand.
The card spun twice in the operator’s palm. Its reverse side turned silver, and the number two appeared.
A silver card represented a confirmed True Order.
[System: Congratulations to Player [Blank ID] for winning the Order War. Points +10,000.]
[“The carousel rests for five minutes after each operation” has been changed into a Tier-Two True Order. The card belongs to the player who initiated the war.]
The silver card slowly descended toward A’s hand.
The system’s mechanical voice sounded again.
[System: The authenticated order contradicts an existing order. The new order cannot be established. Card destroyed.]
Before the card could touch A’s fingertips, it transformed into flowing white sand and scattered through the air.
The card in A’s hand was replaced by another.
[Excessive card destruction will cause order to become unbalanced.]
Its reverse side was black, indicating that it had not been authenticated.
When A obtained it, the system notified him that it could be placed inside a card slot.
“Do you want it?” A offered the card to Su Qiong.
Su Qiong recalled his wand and shook his head. “You obtained it. You should keep it.”
Everything had happened far too quickly. Only after the battle ended did Yu Qimiao have time to analyze the result.
“I believe this card is more useful than the original.”
“Agreed,” the others said.
The previous card had applied only to the carousel area.
The replacement given to A, although unauthenticated, applied to the entire World of Order.
They did not yet understand the rules of the final confrontation, but a card with a broader scope and greater destructive potential was undoubtedly preferable.
“More than the card, I’m curious about something else…” Lu Shufan looked toward Su Qiong. “Little Pastry, you’re amazing! Fortunately, I stopped calling you useless a long time ago~”
A once again became suspicious.
“A Level 0 NPC?”
Su Qiong constantly overturned his understanding of levels.
“I’m surprised too.” Su Qiong examined his wand and found it unbelievable.
NPC advancement rules were similar to those of players. Only after fulfilling certain requirements could they use high-level weapons and abilities.
Why would the system be kind enough to let a Level 0 NPC wield such a powerful composite weapon?
ERROR straightened his slightly disheveled shirt, smiling as he approached and ruffled Su Qiong’s soft, lamb-like curls.
“Haven’t you figured it out yet?” ERROR reminded him directly. “Your other level is much higher than zero.”
“My other…”
“Level?”
“Ah!” Su Qiong suddenly understood.
He possessed player points—tens of thousands of them by rough calculation—which should translate to at least a double-digit level.
So the system had made an error not only with his points, but with his level too?
What a terrible system. It was far too careless.
Regardless, Su Qiong’s ability to use a powerful weapon was beneficial, so the other members did not discuss it further.
Aside from their group, the remaining teams had either not left the kangaroo pouches or had chosen the wrong cards after emerging.
In any case, none had appeared.
Operating under the belief that wandering around would trigger more hints, Su Qiong pattered toward the carousel platform but did not dare approach too closely.
The entire platform had completely changed.
The horses hanging from above continuously dripped red liquid like legendary blood-sweating steeds.
Su Qiong even saw half a face inside the pool of blood. Frightened, he immediately turned around and collided directly with ERROR.
ERROR caught his shoulders, examined the scene, and calmly said, “There are no survivors. We probably can’t obtain any clues from them.”
“Then what should we do?” Su Qiong asked fearfully. “This game seems very dangerous. How can we clear it without clues?”
Moi silently approached them.
“My sister and I counted the system announcements. The first group triggered nineteen orders in total and received eighteen punishments.”
“Hiss. That’s far too frequent.”
“Even with exceptional luck, we couldn’t possibly avoid every order.”
They urgently realized that remaining inside the kangaroo pouch without seeing the situation outside made it nearly impossible to discover a clearing method.
But whenever other players rode the carousel, they were required to remain inside the pouch…
“No.”
“Who said we must stay in the pouch?”
A and Yu Qimiao spoke simultaneously.
Su Qiong poked his head out from ERROR’s arms and reminded everyone, “Remaining inside the kangaroo pouch is an order.”
A Tier-Three True Order.
Since it was a True Order, they could use an Order War to transform it into a False Order.
ERROR’s eyes curved beautifully as he smiled toward the kangaroos.
The five kangaroos: Danger.
Kangaroos were notoriously brutal animals. The strength of a single kangaroo was comparable to the operator’s, and there were five of them.
Any ordinary players would already have lost their nerve.
But the Orphan Alliance was no ordinary group.
They were a collection of fearless, suicidal lunatics who initiated an Order War without hesitation.
As guardians of a Tier-Three True Order, the kangaroos looked disdainfully at the players and did not take them seriously.
Until—
Ten minutes later, the kangaroos had respectively been strangled by a silver whip, disemboweled by a heavy blade, and crushed beneath a coffin.
The remaining two unfortunate kangaroos had nearly been beaten into kangaroo paste by a certain Level 1 player using nothing but his bare hands.
They had no choice but to surrender.
Yu Qimiao stared at ERROR in shock.
Because ERROR had not initiated the first Order War, he had received only a small number of points.
He could not use points to purchase weapons or abilities and could only replenish his vitality.
Even so, ERROR’s strength had increased enormously.
Terrifying.
No wonder the system restricted him so viciously.
Without those limitations, ERROR would undoubtedly destroy the game’s balance.
After winning the battle, ERROR received twenty thousand points and a silver card marked with the number three.
He did not place it inside a card slot. Instead, he casually tossed it to Yu Qimiao to use in a trade.
Then he selected the best viewing position and took Su Qiong with him to watch the other groups ride the carousel.
Yu Qimiao had originally intended to pull Su Qiong away.
Su Qiong was no longer made of bandages. How could he continue clinging to people constantly?
But Su Qiong feared bloody scenes and was terrified of becoming dirty, so he hid beneath ERROR’s protection and refused to leave.
What else could Yu Qimiao do?
As long as the child was happy.
Yu Qimiao took out the Equivalent Exchange Bag and made a deal with the players in the second group.
The second group belonged to the Everyone Survives guild and was initially reluctant.
But Yu Qimiao was willing to give them a confirmed Tier-Three True Order Card, and their guild leader had already agreed to cooperate with the Orphan Alliance.
“We’re merely sharing resources and offering suggestions,” Yu Qimiao said calmly. “We won’t harm you. You’re free to ignore our advice.”
The second group was greatly tempted.
After gritting their teeth, they agreed. “Fine. We’ll cooperate with you only this once.”
“Fine. A pleasure doing business.” Yu Qimiao added them as friends so they could communicate through their bracelets in real time.
During a group’s challenge, certain cards were hidden and censored for outsiders.
With this cooperative relationship, however, the Orphan Alliance could learn the cards’ contents through conversation.
The second group successfully had their tickets checked and entered the platform. Nothing unexpected happened while they chose their horses.
After mounting, the members of the second group remained completely still, each wearing an indescribably strange expression.
The waiting groups nearby had no idea what was happening.
Only Yu Qimiao received three messages.
[Everyone Survives—Zhouzhou: Middle card: During rotation, players’ internal organs will not be thrown from their bodies.]
[Everyone Survives—Zhouzhou: Right card: If you pick up another player’s internal organs, return them within three minutes, or they will enter your own body.]
[Everyone Survives—Zhouzhou: Left card: If you pick up another player’s internal organs, throw them away immediately.]
“What the fuck is this?!” Shi Yuntian took one look and felt as though his eyes had been contaminated.
“Do any of these even count as True Orders?” Lu Shufan began questioning his entire existence.
