The Interdimensional Reseller – CH219

Chapter 219

Chu Feng transported the people and the trucks full of soil straight to the Crescent Village.

Shaman Qiu Luo came out. “This is the spirit soil from this time? That’s a lot.”

Chu Feng nodded. “The National Bureau of Paranormal Abilities’s people are really hard workers.” They collected as if today was the last chance, desperate to stockpile enough for a year in one go.

Qiu Luo regarded him. “You’ve gotten powerful—bringing so many trucks in one trip.”

Chu Feng nodded. “Seems that way.”

Now, when he traveled to the other world, he could open a spatial passage large enough to carry massive quantities of supplies, and his channel kept expanding as his power grew.

“Send three truckloads to the Sang Maiden Tribe,” Qiu Luo said.

Chu Feng nodded. “Okay.”

“I heard you took several hundred bolts of silk from Rainbow Village last time,” Qiu Luo said.

Chu Feng nodded. “Yes—they insisted on giving them to me.”

Qiu Luo crossed his arms. “Our village has lots of specialty goods we can’t finish ourselves. Could you deliver some to them too?”

“Of course,” Chu Feng said.

Moments later, Chu Feng appeared outside Rainbow Village with several trucks.

Village Chief Sang Tian looked at the huge vehicles, his face full of shock. “This… what is this?”

“Trucks,” Jocelyn replied, arms folded.

Sang Tian was stunned. “What powerful things! So imposing. The work of the goblin race?”

“No,” Jocelyn said. “They’re made by humans.”

Sang Tian’s expression grew complicated. “Humans made these? Has the human race advanced this far?”

“Not exactly,” Jocelyn said—it wasn’t humans from this side who made them.

She waved it off. “Anyway, this truckload is specialty produce from Shaman Qiu Luo to Rainbow Village.”

“Shaman Qiu Luo?” Sang Tian asked, puzzled.

“Yes—a very gentle person,” Jocelyn said. “Much kinder than Chu Feng.”

“And these specialties are…?”

“Crops grown in Crescent Village, here for you to try,” Jocelyn said.

Sang Tian was pleasantly surprised. “In that case, thank you.”

He breathed a quiet sigh of relief. The batch of silk Chu Feng had taken before, it turned out, was to trade for food. Without it, the village atmosphere had grown tense—people were already considering borrowing grain from other tribes.

Though the Rainbow Village’s colorful silk was world-famous, its people preferred to avoid contact with outsiders.

The traveling merchants who came to buy goods pressed the prices very low, so Rainbow Village didn’t actually get much gold.

This batch of grain could be considered a timely solution to their urgent needs, and Sang Tian felt a little more gratitude toward this whom he had never met before.

Several villagers unloaded the grain, each with a strange look on their faces. Most people in Rainbow Village had never seen the kind of food Jocelyn brought.
“Is this really edible?” Sang Tian asked doubtfully.
Jocelyn waved his hand. “Don’t worry, the people of Crescent Village eat this all the time.” Crescent Village was rich in resources; when he first arrived there, he had been amazed himself, let alone these people.

“Manning, could you help teach them how to eat these things?”
Manning nodded. “Of course.”

Since Chu Feng and the others would be heading to the Mulberry Maiden Tribe later, he wasn’t needed for now.
Sang Tian nodded with some gratitude. “Then I’ll trouble you, Exalted Ability User.”
Manning hurriedly waved his hands. “It’s fine, it’s fine.”

With his head lowered, Manning thought to himself: a year ago, he had still been a slave. He never imagined that now he could live like this—respected as an ability-user.

Chu Feng and the others teleported to the edge of the mulberry forest.

Shi Qi used his powers to deliver the soil from the truck into the mulberry fields, drawing cheers from several Mulberry Maiden.

Sang Jin looked at Shi Qi with admiration. “So powerful!” Sang Jin was an ability-user who had always enjoyed a high status in Rainbow Village. His powers put him above others in the village, but also made him somewhat lonely. Now, seeing several strong ability-users with different kinds of powers, Sang Jin—though he didn’t say it aloud—was tempted to get closer to them.

“Lord Jocelyn, is this soil… spirit earth?” Sang Tian asked.
Jocelyn smiled. “You could say that. This spirit soil is rich in nutrients and can stimulate plant growth. Even without wood-type ability-users, the trees will grow strong.”
Sang Tian couldn’t help but say, “Crescent Village really is a magical place! They even have something this miraculous.”

Jocelyn thought to himself: this spirit earth wasn’t actually from Crescent Village, but explaining that would be too complicated, so he didn’t elaborate.

After delivering the spirit soil, Chu Feng returned to Rainbow Village to pick up Manning. Manning and a few villagers were studying different ways of eating the new foods.

Several village children were devouring sweet potatoes like they hadn’t eaten in days.
“Manning, these sweet potatoes are so good!”
“So sweet!”

Since Chu Feng had taken away all the silk earlier, the village had recently reduced daily food rations, and the children hadn’t eaten their fill for the past two days.

Manning smiled. “Sweet potatoes are nothing special.” Crescent Village had plenty of delicious food, and the modern world had even more.

“Lord Manning, what’s that on your wrist? A bracelet? I want one too,” a Rainbow Village child asked.

One of the village elders immediately said, “Don’t talk nonsense.”

The kids didn’t know what Manning’s item was, but the elder recognized it.

Manning awkwardly hid the slave bracelet.

Chu Feng had just arrived and happened to see this scene. He glanced at the kid who asked the question, thinking: This little one sure has an eye for unusual things—of all the things to like, he had to pick a slave bracelet.

Chu Feng walked over to Manning and unfastened the slave bracelet.
“Boss, I don’t mind wearing it,” Manning said calmly.
Chu Feng smiled. “I’m not worried about you quitting.”

He was actually a generous boss; if Manning ever left, he doubted Manning could find such good treatment elsewhere.

Manning chuckled. “That’s true. Plenty of people cry and beg to get into Crescent Group.”

Chu Feng: “…”
Manning making a joke—now that was rare.

Manning rubbed his now-empty wrist. While the bracelet hadn’t really hindered him, having it gone felt like a huge weight lifted from his heart.

Chu Feng felt his hand being held. Turning his head, he saw Illya’s sparkling eyes.

“What is it?” Chu Feng asked.
Illya smiled. “Nothing, I just think you’re amazing—you’ve changed so many people’s lives.”

When he first saw Manning, the man had been a thin, cowering slave. Now, Manning was a capable, independent ability-user. And it wasn’t just Manning—many people in Crescent Village had their lives changed by Chu Feng.

If Illya had never met Chu Feng, he might still be struggling to provide for his younger brother and his fellow villagers.

Chu Feng smiled. “I just did what came naturally.”

Sang Tian came over to Jocelyn and asked, “Lord Jocelyn, is Crescent Village far from here?”
Sang Tian nodded. “Very far!”

With no planes or trains here, it would take months to get there on foot.

“Lord Chu Feng can teleport anywhere?” Sang Tian asked.
Jocelyn nodded. “Yes.”

Jocelyn thought: He had heard of many powers growing up, but Chu Feng’s ability was truly miraculous.

Sang Tian hesitated. “Would it be possible to ask Lord Chu Feng to take Sang Jin to Crescent Village to see the world?”

“Sang Jin? Are you sure?” Sang Jin was the village’s lucky star. Sang Tian had thought carefully about this—Sang Jin was very important to Rainbow Village, but for the sake of his future, Sang Tian wanted him to travel and broaden his horizons.

He figured that since Chu Feng had casually given away a witch stone before, had formidable strength, and was accompanied by several ability-users who clearly respected him, there might be an opportunity for Sang Jin if he visited Crescent Village. Even if it didn’t boost his powers, it would at least be an eye-opening experience.

Chu Feng brought Illya, the others, Sang Jin, and Sang Ling to Crescent Village.

Qiu Luo, the, came out and said, “You’re back. And these two are…?”

Chu Feng replied calmly, “People from Rainbow Village, here to spend a couple of days.”

Qiu Luo looked over at Sang Jin and Sang Ling. “I see. Well, we still have plenty of fun places here—you should like it.”

Sang Ling gave an awkward smile. She wasn’t here for fun—she had a mission.

Before departure, the clan elder had instructed her to take good care of Sang Jin. After arriving at Crescent Village, she was to put her weaving skills to use and show the people here the craftsmanship of Rainbow Village. Her weaving skills ranked among the top in her village, so Sang Ling was quite confident in herself.

But now, seeing the bright and colorful clothes worn by the people of Crescent Village, she began to feel uncertain. People here dressed too well. The clothes looked a bit strange, but they were undeniably beautiful.

She nervously clutched the hem of her garment.

Sang Jin wasn’t faring much better—his own nerves were showing.

Jocelyn looked at Sang Jin and Sang Ling and seemed to see his own past self when he had first arrived in Crescent Village.

Qiu Luo beckoned to Eric. “Eric, have your grandfather arrange a place in the castle for our two new friends to stay.”

Eric nodded. “Alright.”

Sang Ling asked hesitantly, “We’re… staying in the castle?”

Qiu Luo nodded. “Yes.”

Sang Ling looked at the castle in the distance and thought to herself: Can I really stay in a place like that?

Illya, watching the backs of Sang Jin and Sang Ling, curved his lips in a small smile.

Chu Feng noticed. “Feeling pleased?”

Illya tilted his head. “A little. Crescent Village really is quite something now.”

In the past, when he visited big cities, he would be stunned by their splendor. Now it was other people’s turn to be stunned by the prosperity of Crescent Village, and that gave Illya a faint sense of pride.
