The Interdimensional Reseller – CH193

Chapter 193

Zhuang Feixue looked at the items in the suitcase, her emotions stirred.

“Chu Feng, this suitcase full of treasures—these aren’t props, are they?”

Chu Feng: “…Your imagination is really something. They’re all real.”

Zhuang Feixue picked up a few pieces of jewelry, examined them, and couldn’t help but say, “These are beautiful!”

Chu Feng chuckled. “Glad you think so.”

Zhuang Feixue took a deep breath. Chu Feng once said he’d picked out her necklace at random, and she hadn’t believed him. Now, she was starting to. Where on earth did he get all this stuff? Could it be from Illya’s family?

She picked up a piece of jade and examined it. “This is blood jade… and this one’s imperial green… this one’s ice jade… You just keep them like this in a suitcase? Aren’t you afraid they’ll break?”

Chu Feng shrugged. “If they break, so be it. Not a big deal.”

Zhuang Feixue said helplessly, “These days people value Witch Stones more. Jade has dropped in value, but there are still plenty of jade enthusiasts out there.”

If any of those enthusiasts saw how Chu Feng treated the jade, they’d probably be furious.

Chu Feng nodded. “Lots of jade fans? Perfect.”

“Can it be sold for cash?”

“Where did you get these stones? Did you go to the stone-gambling market again? You really have an eye for this stuff!” said Zhuang Feixue.

Zhuang Cheng couldn’t help but snicker. Zhuang Feixue glared at him. “Xiao Cheng, what are you laughing at? What did I say that’s funny?”

Zhuang Cheng said a little awkwardly, “Sis, I just think Second Brother really doesn’t have any talent for gambling on jade. Last time at the stone-gambling market, all those top-quality jade stones were actually switched by him.”

Zhuang Feixue looked at Chu Feng with some doubt. “Switched? Is that true?”

Chu Feng nodded. “It’s true. I picked stones at the market just so I could give a legitimate origin to the jade I already had.”

Zhuang Feixue: “…” So that’s how it was? She had wondered—Chu Feng had picked such ordinary-looking stones, yet they revealed top-grade jade inside. It had seemed unbelievable. So the jade was swapped in? And Xiao Cheng realized it at the time?

Zhuang Feixue suddenly thought of something. “Xiao Cheng, that jade you had before, was it also…?”

“It was also swapped,” Zhuang Cheng said.

Zhuang Feixue asked with some confusion, “Then what about the stone that got you kidnapped?”

“It was a Witch Stone,” Illya said.

Zhuang Cheng puffed out his cheeks. “A Witch Stone? So it really was.”
Zhuang Feixue: “…” The name “Witch Stone” was legendary. She hadn’t expected that Zhuang Cheng had already possessed one back then.

“Those damned idiots kidnapped me over a Witch Stone,” Chu Feng took a deep breath. “Now that Witch Stones are becoming more common, their value has dropped a lot. Before, they were rare—every single one was precious.”
On the other side of the sea, Witch Stones would definitely spark fierce bidding wars among nobles at auctions.

“No matter how rare, can they compare to me?” Chu Feng glanced at Zhuang Cheng. “How are you going to compete with a Witch Stone?”

Zhuang Cheng: “…”
“What happened to that Witch Stone?” Zhuang Feixue asked.

Chu Feng shrugged. “I used it.”

Zhuang Cheng sighed regretfully. “Used it? I still wanted to take a look.”

“What’s there to look at? You want to get kidnapped again?” Chu Feng said.

Zhuang Cheng: “…”
Zhuang Feixue asked, “Then where did all those jade stones come from?”

Chu Feng waved his hand. “Picked them up by the lake.”

Zhuang Feixue thought he was joking, but also kind of not. “Really? By the lake?”

Chu Feng nodded. “That’s right.”

Zhuang Cheng’s eyes sparkled. “Second Brother, if there’s such good stuff, take me there to pick some up too!”

Chu Feng glanced at him. “You’re a rich second-generation heir, and you’re still eyeing jade stones?”

Zhuang Cheng shook his head and sighed. “Being a rich heir isn’t easy these days! The company still owes a lot in bank loans. One slip and I’ll go from a rich heir to a debt-ridden heir.”

Chu Feng chuckled. “Is that so? Seems like not going back to the Zhuang family was the right call. If something goes wrong, I won’t see any of the money, but I’ll inherit a pile of debt.”

Zhuang Cheng: “…”

Zhuang Feixue was checking the contents of the package when she noticed a black cloth bag. It seemed to contain something. She opened it, and a faint glow spilled out. “What’s this? Is it a night pearl?”
She pulled out the glowing bead and was stunned.

Chu Feng nodded. “More or less.”

He glanced at the box. It seemed he had packed a bit carelessly and accidentally mixed it in.

Zhuang Feixue looked at him in disbelief. “Something like this really exists?”

“It’s not that impressive. The light isn’t even that bright. And if you don’t want it glowing at night, you have to cover it with a cloth,” Chu Feng said.

Zhuang Cheng stared at him. “How can you say something like that?”

Chu Feng blinked. “Just being honest!”

Zhuang Cheng: “…”
He turned to Illya. “Second Brother-in-law, do you think the same?”

Illya nodded. “It’s true.”

Chu Feng: “…” This idiot Zhuang Cheng… actually picked up that attitude from Illya.

At first, it had driven him crazy, but now he was starting to understand. Maybe when couples stay together long enough, their thinking starts to align.

Zhuang Feixue checked a few elixir bottles, all of which were filled to the brim.

She asked, “Didn’t you say before that there were no elixirs left?”

Chu Feng nodded. “That was before. I recently traded a batch of medicinal ingredients with the National Bureau of Paranormal Abilities.”

Now that there was a new plant-based ability-user in the Crescent Village, Jocelyn had been helping out a lot while working for Shaman Qiu Luo to earn labor tokens.

Zhuang Feixue nodded. “Right! You did make a deal with the Ability Bureau—I totally forgot about that.”

Zhuang Cheng looked at Chu Feng. “Speaking of which, last time you came out of the Ability Bureau, a lot of people followed you.”

Chu Feng looked at him curiously. “How do you know that?”

“Someone told me,” Zhuang Cheng said. “One of the drivers who followed you got drunk and blabbed at a party. Someone overheard and spread the word. He said your car suddenly disappeared, like it was some kind of mysterious vanishing act. No one could figure out what trick you used.”

Chu Feng: “…”

Zhuang Cheng suddenly had a thought. “Second Brother… can you teleport with your car?”

Chu Feng: “…” Not too dumb after all, huh?

Zhuang Cheng grew nervous as Chu Feng didn’t answer. “You really can?”

“What’s so strange? I can teleport with you, why not a car?”

Zhuang Cheng blinked. “True. Guess those who tried to tail you wasted their effort. I heard the National Bureau of Paranormal Abilities put the latest nano-tracker on your car, smaller than a mosquito. Did you see it?”

Chu Feng blinked. There was something like that on the car? He honestly didn’t know. “Didn’t see it.”

Zhuang Cheng puffed out his cheeks and said, “Looks like it’s the latest high-end product.”

Chu Feng: “……” Such a high-end product being used on him really felt like a waste.

“Chu Feng, what is this Bone Strengthening Elixir? A newly developed type of elixir?” Zhuang Feixue asked.

Chu Feng nodded and said, “You could say that.” The Bone Strengthening Elixir was primarily made using white snake bones. “The main effect of this elixir is to strengthen the bones and enhance physical constitution.”

Zhuang Feixue nodded. “I see.”

She looked at the bottles labeled as Beauty Elixirs and Slimming Elixirs with great fondness, almost unable to part with them.

“Chu Feng, can you share some of these elixirs with me? I still have some money on hand—I’ll give it all to you,” Zhuang Feixue said, looking at him eagerly.

“If you want some, just take a set,” Chu Feng said. “Actually, I have something I need your help with.”

Zhuang Feixue thought for a moment and asked, “You want me to help find all the owners of that building?”

Chu Feng nodded. “Yes, I want to talk to them about a possible transfer. I’m not too familiar with this kind of stuff—can you help me find a lawyer?”

Zhuang Feixue nodded. “That’s no problem. I have two lawyers who handle my entertainment contracts—they’re pretty good. But the Zhuang family’s legal team is more professional.”

Chu Feng shook his head. “Let’s just use your lawyers. It’s just a few transfer documents, no need to make it complicated. Besides, if anyone tries to pull tricks in the contract, I’ll cut them up.”

Zhuang Feixue nodded. “Alright…”

She made two phone calls to get someone to draft the transfer agreement. On the side, Zhuang Cheng was visibly excited. “Are we buying a building? Really?”

Chu Feng gave him a sideways glance. “Haven’t you ever seen someone buy a building before?”

Zhuang Cheng: “…” In the circles of the rich, flaunting wealth was common. Buying cars or villas was normal. But buying an entire commercial building in the capital—he really hadn’t seen that before. “Not really.”

“You really have no sense of the world, then. It’s just a building. I saw it and wanted it, so I bought it.”

Zhuang Cheng: “…Alright, I guess I am short-sighted.”

“Aren’t you supposed to be in school?” Chu Feng asked.

Zhuang Cheng chuckled. “Second Brother, you’re joking. Since the earthquake happened, classes have been suspended everywhere.”

Chu Feng was a bit surprised. “Really?”

Back when he was a kid and didn’t want to go to school, he used to dream of something earth-shattering happening—like blowing up the academy or the end of the world—so he could get a day off. But it never happened. And now that there really was a day off… he’d already been out of school for years.
