The Cubs Can’t Possibly Be This Well-Behaved! – CH265

Chapter 265: Extra (2)

Over an hour later, it was finally their turn at the food stall.

The snacks weren’t expensive—just 26 universe credits for both of them. However, there was a problem: since they had been living on Earth Star, where there was little need for interstellar currency, they didn’t have any.

To Su Ci’s surprise, A-Yan managed to pay without issue.

Noticing Su Ci’s curious gaze, A-Yan smiled and said, “How could I take you out to have fun without preparing in advance?”

Despite his immense power, A-Yan rarely used it to break human rules. Much like how Su Ci had earnestly saved up points at the nursery to exchange for items, A-Yan had picked up this good habit from him.

Over time, A-Yan came to understand that respecting and maintaining rules also reinforced his own strength.

As this thought crossed his mind, A-Yan’s gaze softened, and he stared at Su Ci with a delighted, slightly silly smile.

Unaware of A-Yan’s inner musings, Su Ci was already drawn to the snacks they had just purchased and didn’t pay him much attention.

As it turned out, after years of being spoiled by A-Yan’s cooking, Su Ci had developed a refined palate.

“It’s average. A bit creative, but not much,” Su Ci remarked after a couple of bites. He handed the rest to A-Yan and then pulled him toward another food stall to queue up again.

A-Yan accepted the leftovers without hesitation. Since Su Ci had already taken bites of each snack, it wouldn’t be polite to give them to anyone else. Happily, he finished them all.

By the time they had sampled their way through the entire food street, it was late at night.

The streets remained lively, though. Initially, A-Yan was worried Su Ci might feel tired and want to rest, but he seemed far from his usual sleepiness.

Relieved, A-Yan eagerly dragged Su Ci toward every new and exciting thing they came across. At this moment, the youthful energy unique to a newly born spirit shone through him, and Su Ci found himself gradually infected by it.

“Let’s ride that!”

A-Yan pointed toward the sky, where glowing cubes floated lazily along set trajectories, creating a romantic scene against the backdrop of dazzling fireworks.

Su Ci followed his gaze, slightly puzzled. They were just floating structures—why would A-Yan be so interested?

However, seeing the sparkle in A-Yan’s eyes, Su Ci’s lips curved into a small smile.

“Alright, let’s go.”

The two queued for tickets and boarded the modified Ferris wheel. As the energy source powered up, their cube slowly ascended.

The upper part of the cube was made of one-way transparent material, invisible from the outside but providing a panoramic view from within.

Fireworks bloomed continuously, illuminating the night sky in vibrant colors.

A-Yan, seeing fireworks for the first time in person, was mesmerized. The dazzling lights reflected on his face, making his smile seem even more innocent and pure.

“I didn’t expect humans to still enjoy setting off fireworks after all these years,” A-Yan mused.

He thought back to an era long ago when humans would celebrate festivals with fireworks, though the designs were far simpler back then.

Su Ci, too, was reminded of the past. But to his surprise, recalling those memories no longer disturbed his emotions.

Turning his head, he gazed at A-Yan’s profile.

A-Yan was still engrossed in the fireworks, genuinely enjoying them as he analyzed the materials used and their mechanisms.

“There’s no sulfur smell,” A-Yan noted. “It must be some kind of modern ma—”

His words were cut off abruptly.

He felt Su Ci suddenly lean over and plant a light kiss on the corner of his mouth.

For a moment, A-Yan froze. Despite all the intimate moments they had shared over the past ten years, this fleeting, dragonfly-like kiss sent his mind spiraling into blankness, as though time itself had slowed.

He didn’t know how long he sat there, stunned—perhaps just a brief moment. When he regained his senses, Su Ci had already pulled away.

A-Yan blinked slowly, turning his head to meet Su Ci’s gaze. In the glow of the fireworks, Su Ci’s already breathtakingly beautiful face seemed almost otherworldly, his smiling eyes holding a bewitching charm.

Seeing A-Yan’s dazed expression, Su Ci unexpectedly found it amusing.

Leaning in again, he kissed A-Yan’s lips directly this time.

This time, A-Yan didn’t let him retreat.

Strong, steady hands cupped Su Ci’s face as A-Yan eagerly deepened the kiss, his actions filled with both affection and longing.

“Bang—Bang—Bang—”

The fireworks continued to burst around them, forming intricate patterns in the sky. Yet, at this moment, none of it could draw A-Yan’s attention away from Su Ci.

Under the radiant display, they kissed, like the most ordinary couple in the world, creating a memory that was uniquely their own.

The warmth between them grew.

A-Yan finally pulled back slightly, resting his forehead against Su Ci’s, their breaths mingling in the intimate space.

After ten years together, they understood each other’s bodies well.

“Su Su, do you want to?”

A-Yan’s voice was low, but Su Ci heard it clearly. He didn’t reply with words, simply meeting A-Yan’s gaze with luminous eyes that held an unspoken answer.

Understanding, A-Yan released a shielding barrier around their cube, ensuring their privacy from any prying eyes.

Then, with his strong arms, A-Yan wrapped them around Su Ci’s slender waist, pulling him onto his lap. He gently cupped Su Ci’s face, tilting his head upward, and kissed him once again, this time with reverence.

The warmth between them grew.

Su Ci tightly shut his eyes, a faint red hue spreading across the corners of his eyes, which glistened slightly. His pale hands clutched A-Yan’s broad shoulders, his fingers gradually tightening.

Though they had shared such moments before, the joy in his heart this time far surpassed any they’d experienced in the past.

A-Yan noticed Su Ci’s rare initiative, and it filled him with happiness. He felt that bringing him here was one of the best decisions he had ever made.

As fireworks continued to light up the sky, Su Ci’s fragmented voice became indistinct amidst the bursts of light and sound…

*

When Su Ci regained consciousness, he was lying on the soft bed of a hotel room. The unfamiliar environment didn’t unsettle him. Instead, he turned over lazily and nestled into A-Yan’s embrace once more.

“Awake?”

The moment Su Ci stirred, A-Yan noticed.

A-Yan’s firm yet gentle arms wrapped around him, holding him close. His pale, smooth skin bore faint, ambiguous marks—traces of their intimacy that could have easily been erased with spiritual power, yet A-Yan chose to leave them, letting them fade away naturally.

“No…” Su Ci muttered softly and closed his eyes again, intent on sleeping longer.

Moments like this highlighted their differences. A-Yan remained full of energy, as if ready to engage in another round of combat, while Su Ci simply wanted to sleep for eternity.

It wasn’t a matter of physical stamina; rather, Su Ci’s emotional fluctuations—whether joyful or sorrowful—always consumed an immense amount of mental energy. It was akin to someone needing days or weeks to recover after an intense social interaction.

Right now, Su Ci didn’t even want to lift a finger.

Understanding this, A-Yan held him quietly, cherishing this moment of serene intimacy shared between the two of them.

When Su Ci finally got up to eat, the sky outside had turned a deep bluish-purple. The sunsets on this planet were unlike those on Earth Star, and the planet had two moons.

Carrying Su Ci in his arms, A-Yan brought him to the room’s open balcony. It was the rooftop of the hotel, complete with a pool and a stunning view of the shimmering sea under the evening sky.

They sat on a sofa by the pool, enjoying their meal while taking in the exotic scenery.

“Su Su, have you been to this planet before?” A-Yan asked.

Su Ci bit into a local fruit, the purple moon fruit, finding its taste acceptable. After pondering A-Yan’s question, he replied, “I don’t remember.”

During those thousands of years, he had been in a weakened state, drifting aimlessly. He hadn’t had the energy or inclination to appreciate the wonders of the universe, so he couldn’t recall if he had visited this planet before.

“Well, we got lucky this time.”

A-Yan smiled and pulled up a travel guide he had found earlier, displaying it on an electronic device.

“Is there anything here you’re particularly interested in?”

Su Ci glanced at the screen before reclining back, saying, “Let’s rest a bit longer.”

His voice was soft, almost tender, and to A-Yan, it sounded like he was being coy. Startled for a moment, A-Yan gave Su Ci a curious look, then broke into a delighted smile.

“Alright.”

A-Yan turned off the travel guide and leaned down to plant a kiss on Su Ci’s cheek. “Take as much time as you need to rest. We have all the time in the world.”

Su Ci exhaled deeply and reopened his eyes, gazing at the two purple moons rising in the sky. The gentle evening breeze brushed against his face, bringing a rare sense of relaxation to his body and mind.

“A-Yan.”

“Hmm?”

Su Ci didn’t say anything further. A-Yan studied him briefly, then turned back to admire the sea view.

“A-Yan.”

“Hmm.”

This back-and-forth, though sparse in words, carried a profound, unspoken connection between them, slowly filling the space with an indescribable warmth.

In the flower beds on the terrace, various blossoms began to bloom, spreading their sweet, fragrant aroma into the air.

Soft, exotic music began to play in the background, seemingly of its own accord.

“This song is unfamiliar,” Su Ci remarked.

“Do you like it?” A-Yan asked.

“Yes.”

A-Yan’s lips curved into a smile. As if remembering something, he turned slightly, and a fluffy, plush tail appeared behind him. Under his control, the tail gently wrapped around Su Ci.

Su Ci’s eyes lit up, and he hugged the tail, nuzzling it affectionately.

At that moment, he heard A-Yan’s low voice say:

“Su Su, let’s get married.”
