Reborn in the Apocalypse: I Decide to Cling to My Roommate’s Thigh – CH35

Chapter 35

Ye Xuan expressed his thanks for the registrar’s kind comfort.

Although, in truth, he had only been speechless over the name of his team.

Ye Xuan looked upward again, checking the ratings for each category.

Assessment Duration: 15 minutes 28 seconds

Speed: A
Strength: B
Overall Control: A
Courage: A
Combat Technique: B

Ye Xuan had no objections to this result. Strength was indeed his weak point.

On the battlefield, space ability users had relatively limited use compared with strength ability users, so the assessment standards were higher. Ye Xuan could understand that.

“Your team leader is Luo Feng. I’ve already sent your information to him. Just report in on time at nine tomorrow morning.”

“Thank you.” Ye Xuan smiled at the registrar.

The registrar scratched his head and smiled back at Ye Xuan. “It’s what I should do.”

Compared with most arrogant ability users, this ability user was simply too nice. Although the ability user beside him looked so fierce. (?????)

Ye Xuan put away the assessment result. He planned to go back to the dormitory and wash up. His whole body smelled of sweat.

He said to Xia Chenxi, “You train here. I’ll go back to the dorm first.”

Xia Chenxi walked ahead of him first.

Ye Xuan followed him. “Didn’t you say you came here to train and maintain your combat feel?”

“What training? Rest when you should rest. Otherwise, why would a holiday be called a holiday?”

Ye Xuan dug at his ear. Was this something Xia Chenxi would say?

“Were you possessed by someone? Are you still Xia Chenxi?”

“Xia Chenxi?”

“Hello?”

Xia Chenxi finally could not take it anymore and grabbed Ye Xuan’s ear. “I’m Xia Chenxi. I want to rest. Did you hear me?”

Alright. He really was Xia Chenxi.

They returned the way they came and ran into Guan Yu again.

After learning that Ye Xuan had entered Team 2B, Guan Yu was disappointed for a moment.

“It would’ve been great if I had the chance to go on missions with you, Ye Xuan. You’re so cute. If I could train and go on missions with you, I’d be so happy every day I’d fly, okay?”

Ye Xuan scratched behind his ear, embarrassed by the praise.

With a dark face, Xia Chenxi punched Guan Yu. “Train properly if you’re training. Stop always leaving the team.”

Guan Yu covered his forehead and watched Xia Chenxi and Ye Xuan leave. He muttered, “Xia Chenxi, you double-standard dog.”

Facts proved that people should not speak badly behind someone’s back.

Guan Yu’s outcome was receiving a sharp glare. Aiya, training later was going to be miserable.

The next day, Ye Xuan got up and ate breakfast. He looked at Xia Chenxi, who was sitting across from him eating a sandwich.

“You didn’t wake up just to eat breakfast, did you?”

Xia Chenxi stuffed the last bite of bread into his mouth, pulled out a tissue, and wiped his lips.

“No. I’m going to the training field to train.”

Ye Xuan looked at him and let out two dry “hehe” laughs. “Your thoughts really change a lot.”

Yesterday, he had said people should rest when they should rest, and today he was going to train again. Did this person have split personalities?

The two changed into their combat uniforms and headed to the training field.

Even after following Ye Xuan all the way to the entrance of Venue B, Xia Chenxi showed no intention of stopping.

“Aren’t you going to Venue A? Or are you planning to walk a huge circle before going there?”

Although the two venues were not far apart, there was still some distance between them. According to Ye Xuan’s principles, if he could walk less, he would walk less. He had not expected Xia Chenxi to be the opposite and enjoy making things troublesome.

“I’m on vacation. Why would I go to Venue A?”

“Then you?” Ye Xuan was confused.

“I’m going to the central venue to train. Is that not allowed?”

“Oh.” That seemed more in line with Xia Chenxi’s hardworking character setting.

Xia Chenxi pushed open the door and stopped at the entrance.

Ye Xuan asked him, “Why aren’t you going in?”

He squeezed past Xia Chenxi and went in, then also froze in place. He was doing his best to suppress the urge to turn around and run.

Why was everyone looking at them? And why were their gazes so strange, one by one, as if they had seen rare and exotic beasts?

Ye Xuan considered himself not exactly an extremely extroverted person, but definitely not an introvert either. Yet in this situation, he suddenly felt like he had developed social anxiety.

“Hey, hey, aren’t you guys scaring the new teammate?”

A slightly deep voice came from behind the crowd.

Someone turned around and asked, “Brother Feng, why are there two people? Is your information wrong?”

“Ah, two people? I only received one person’s file.”

A tall man walked around the crowd. There was a scar on his face. The scar did not look out of place on his firm features. Instead, it seemed like a medal carved onto his face. He looked quite young, around his late twenties.

Seeing Xia Chenxi and Ye Xuan at the entrance, Luo Feng rubbed his chin and muttered quietly, “There really are two people.”

Ye Xuan slowly raised his hand. “I’m the new teammate here to report in.”

Luo Feng’s gaze fell on Xia Chenxi. “And you?”

Xia Chenxi spoke calmly. “I came with him.”

This answer made Luo Feng pause, then he burst into hearty laughter. “It’s understandable. On the first day of training, family members are worried.”

Xia Chenxi did not refute it. Instead, Ye Xuan became restrained.

Luo Feng extended a hand to Ye Xuan. “Don’t worry. Our Team B isn’t some place that eats people. I’m a very casual team leader and don’t have many requirements. You can call me Brother Feng like the rest of them.”

The team leader in front of him had a very gentle attitude, and Ye Xuan relaxed. He had really been afraid he would run into another team leader like the one from the reserve team.

Ye Xuan reached out and shook Luo Feng’s hand. “My name is Ye Xuan. Space ability user.”

“For a space ability user to enter Team B, you must have performed exceptionally well during the assessment.”

Hearing someone praise him, especially his own team leader, Ye Xuan naturally could not stop feeling happy. Still, he said modestly, “No, no. I was just lucky.”

Xia Chenxi interrupted their conversation. “You train. I’m going to the central venue. We’ll go back together this afternoon.”

Xia Chenxi nodded at Luo Feng and walked toward the central venue.

In Ye Xuan’s eyes, Xia Chenxi’s behavior was pure showing off.

Beside Ye Xuan, Luo Feng rubbed his chin and clicked his tongue emotionally. “Teammate Ye Xuan, this family member of yours really has personality.”

Ye Xuan laughed dryly twice and explained, “He isn’t usually like this.”

Ever since they had returned from the hospital, Xia Chenxi had become strange. Although Ye Xuan did not understand Xia Chenxi’s behavior, he did not dislike it.

Luo Feng looked at Ye Xuan with an expression that said, I understand everything.

Ye Xuan smiled awkwardly. He seemed to have been misunderstood by his team leader.

Ye Xuan followed the team leader to the front of the group. In fact, there were not many people in the team, only a dozen or so. But just now, the gazes of those dozen people had all fallen on him, giving him the illusion that there were many people.

“Welcome, new teammate!”

No one knew who started shouting, but everyone gathered around him and applauded warmly.

“Welcome, welcome, warmly welcome! Welcome, welcome, warmly welcome!”

They were too enthusiastic. So enthusiastic that Ye Xuan was a little overwhelmed.

Ye Xuan waved his hands repeatedly. “That’s enough. Thank you, everyone.”

“Our Little Cheng should also meet the new teammate.”

A thin boy was pushed in front of Ye Xuan. He glanced lightly at Ye Xuan, withdrew from the crowd, and walked to a corner.

“Alright, alright. Don’t scare our new teammate.”

Luo Feng dispersed the rowdy crowd.

He said to Ye Xuan, “The kids in the team are all pretty noisy, except Little Cheng. Both his parents got into trouble, and he’s the only one left.”
