“What are you giving this to me for?” The voice of the person inside the bathroom was slightly hoarse. “Are you planning to let me eat my fill so I can bite you?”
Ye Xuan rolled his eyes outside in anger and said irritably, “If you’re not eating it, throw it back out.”
The sound of rustling packaging came from inside the bathroom.
After a while, Xia Chenxi’s voice sounded again.
“Bring me some water.”
Give him an inch and he really takes a mile. Now he was making demands left and right.
Although Ye Xuan was unhappy, he still went to pour a cup of water. The only problem was how to get it inside.
What if Xia Chenxi suddenly turned into a zombie the moment he opened the door?

“What else could it be? The power’s out.”

“When exactly is someone coming to save us?”
Ye Xuan scrolled down, feeling grateful that he had the foresight to charge every usable power source.
“Brothers, I’m out of food. My stomach’s about to flatten from hunger.” The person who sent that message was Dong Jiahao from Bed 4 of Dorm 218.
Xu Qiwei, Bed 1 of Dorm 219: “Bro, I still have food here. Come to my room.”
Dong Jiahao, Bed 4 of Dorm 218: “Wait for me. I’ll be there right away.”
Everyone in the group began guessing whether this warrior from Dorm 218 could safely make it to Dorm 219. Some people even started betting on it.
Ye Xuan felt that the chance of success was too low. The second floor was too close to the first floor, and the scene of zombies surging into the dorm building that morning was still vivid in his mind.
Right now, the zombies had definitely gathered on the first to third floors. As long as a door opened, there would be noise. Once a whole wave of zombies was drawn over by him, how was he supposed to get through that sea of corpses?
Ye Xuan typed on the screen, wanting to persuade this warrior not to go. But just as he was about to send it, he deleted the entire sentence.
Because that warrior had spoken again.
Dong Jiahao, Bed 4 of Dorm 218: “Comrades, rest assured. I have safely arrived at Dorm 219.”
It had not even been five minutes, yet he had already reached Dorm 219. That meant the moment he sent that message, he had gone straight out of the dorm without even taking time to think?
As casually as opening the door and walking out on a normal day?
Ye Xuan was both speechless and amused.
Could this guy be the legendary person favored by God?
Ye Xuan turned off his phone to save power.
Without the faint light from his phone, the entire room fell into darkness. Perhaps because his nerves had been stretched tight for the whole day, in this darkness, he actually relaxed a little.

“The guest is here. Xuan, go open the door.”
“Mom, which guest is it?”
Ye Xuan walked to the door, held the doorknob, and turned back to ask his mother.
“Of course it’s your roommate, Xia Chenxi.”
Ye Xuan woke from the dream with a start.
He had fallen asleep.
But that knocking sound was still continuing. It sounded very close, not from outside. Then it had to be from inside the bathroom!
Ye Xuan gripped his phone tightly and thought about what he should do now. If he ran to the balcony, with Xia Chenxi’s strength, the door would be smashed open sooner or later. The best option right now was to leave this dorm.
He was on the fifth floor. Judging from the sounds outside, he guessed there were not that many zombies. As long as he seized the chance to rush to the sixth floor and ask for help, he would still have a slim chance of survival.
Ye Xuan tried his best to make as little noise as possible as he pushed away the chairs blocking the door, avoiding attracting the zombies outside.

The bathroom door cracked open, and a figure walked out of the bathroom.
It was too late.
Ye Xuan opened the door and rushed out of the room. He desperately ran upstairs, but a zombie suddenly appeared around the corner right in front of his face, frightening him into slamming on the brakes. His foot missed a step, and he rolled down the stairs, crashed into something sharp, and lost consciousness.
When he opened his eyes again, he was back in the dorm. Inside the bathroom, Xia Chenxi was still banging against the door again and again.
Had he died just now?
He had been reborn again.
With a loud bang, the bathroom door was knocked open.
There was no time to think. Ye Xuan kicked away the chairs at the door, opened it, and ran outside.
Because the noise was too loud, zombies surged up like locusts, chasing after him from behind.
Now he could not go up to the sixth floor. Ye Xuan ran toward the window at the northernmost end, then leapt forward. Dying and being reborn was still better than being gnawed beyond recognition by zombies.
When he opened his eyes, Ye Xuan was back in the dorm. Xia Chenxi was still ramming the bathroom door.
This time, he reacted immediately. He quietly moved the chairs away and softly opened the door.
However, the moment one of his feet stepped out the door, his phone exploded in his pocket.
Ye Xuan was reborn again. He opened his eyes and, refusing to believe in evil, began his colorful collection of deaths.
The air conditioner fell and smashed him to death. He tripped on flat ground, hit the back of his head, and died. He ran to the sixth floor, and the window exploded, stabbing him to death…
After going through the cycle more than a dozen times, Ye Xuan resigned himself to fate and sat where he was.
Rather than endlessly dying over and over again in torture, he might as well let Xia Chenxi bite him and turn him into a zombie.

The bathroom door was knocked open, and a tall black shadow walked out.

At that thought, Ye Xuan began to feel afraid again.
“Turn on your phone flashlight and give it to me.” Xia Chenxi’s voice was unusually hoarse.
Ye Xuan’s brain lagged for a second before he took out his phone from his pocket, turned on the flashlight, and handed it to Xia Chenxi.
He met Xia Chenxi’s eyes. They were completely blood-red, and his entire forehead was covered in dense beads of sweat.
Xia Chenxi had turned into a zombie.
At this moment, Ye Xuan felt relieved. Just like this. Bite him too, and then he would not have to go through all of this anymore. He would not have to keep living in fear.
He reached his hand toward Xia Chenxi’s mouth.
“Xia Chenxi, bite me.”

“Get to the balcony. Otherwise, I’ll make you wish you were dead.”
