Liang Jinyi no longer wanted to pay attention to Chen Ruoxuan. He picked up the backpack on his desk and pattered over to find a seat as far away from Chen Ruoxuan as possible.
Someone had originally been sitting there—a short-tempered little chubby boy playing with a toy car. But Liang Jinyi was very fierce. He gave the chubby boy a cold glare, and the chubby classmate obediently gave up his seat to him.
But Chen Ruoxuan refused to give up. She chased after him again and continued describing her older brother’s good points, trying to move Liang Jinyi into exchanging brothers with her.
The teachers of Class One had all been informed by Uncle Lin that Liang Jinyi was slightly different from ordinary children. When he was unhappy, he might show some violent behavior, so he hoped the teachers would pay extra attention to him.
So when Teacher Li entered the classroom and saw Chen Ruoxuan circling Liang Jinyi, chattering nonstop, while obvious impatience and irritation appeared on Liang Jinyi’s face, she quickly walked over to ask what was going on.
After learning that Chen Ruoxuan had been trying to persuade Liang Jinyi to exchange older brothers with her, Teacher Li gently and patiently told her that older brothers couldn’t be exchanged.

“Because older brothers are people. They’re born to their moms and dads, and it’s decided from birth,” Teacher Li explained to Chen Ruoxuan patiently and plainly for a long time before finally making Chen Ruoxuan give up on the idea of exchanging older brothers.
At that moment, the school bell rang, and the teacher reminded all the students to hurry and sit down. Class was about to begin.
The only thing about kindergarten that appealed to Liang Jinyi was that Brother liked children who came to kindergarten. He himself had no fondness for it at all.
But after spending an entire day at kindergarten, Liang Jinyi discovered that kindergarten wasn’t as annoying as he had imagined. Although there were many rules to follow, some of the games were still a little interesting at times.

Liang Jinyi remembered that Brother had said he would come pick him up after school today. So when school ended, he quickly packed up his things and rushed toward the gate.
However, today was Liang Jinyi’s first day at school. He wasn’t as familiar as the other students with the route from Class One to the school gate. By the time he rushed to the gate, quite a few children from Class One were already there.
Liang Jinyi spotted Brother waiting for him at the school gate at a glance. Wearing his little dinosaur backpack, he walked out of the kindergarten gate excitedly and was just about to run toward Brother when he suddenly saw that annoying Chen Ruoxuan rush to his brother before him.
She tugged at his brother’s sleeve.

After waiting for over ten minutes, it was finally Class One’s turn to be dismissed.
But before Jiang Mi saw Liang Jinyi, the hem of his school uniform was grabbed by a little girl wearing a pink rabbit sweater. She greeted him with particular enthusiasm, calling him Jinyi-brother, then asked if he could crouch down because she had something to say to him.
Jiang Mi had always liked children, especially since this child was delicately pretty, lively, and adorable. Seeing that the child was standing too close and seemed to have difficulty looking up at him, Jiang Mi crouched down to speak with her.
Then he heard the child say excitedly, “Jinyi-brother, you’re so handsome. Can I kiss you?”
Jiang Mi didn’t even have time to react before the little girl suddenly leaned closer and kissed his cheek.
Being kissed by a five- or six-year-old girl didn’t bother Jiang Mi. Liu Peipei kissed his cheek too, and so did Jinyi. This was one way children expressed that they liked someone.
He was just about to say a few words to the little girl when, in the next instant, a strong force struck from beside her and shoved the child to the ground.
By sheer coincidence, there was a stone beside Chen Ruoxuan, and the side of the back of her head struck it. A vivid red mark appeared.

Thirty minutes later, in Red Sun Kindergarten’s infirmary.
Red Sun Kindergarten was a private elite kindergarten with annual tuition reaching two to three hundred thousand yuan, so its infirmary facilities were naturally several times better than those of ordinary schools.
Chen Ruoxuan had received three stitches on the side of the back of her head from the school doctor. The anesthetic hadn’t worn off yet, so although Chen Ruoxuan’s head no longer felt painful, Liang Jinyi had pushed her too hard, and her knee had scraped against the cement ground, rubbing off a large patch of skin. After the school doctor applied medicine just now, the wound stung sharply, and she sobbed quietly while leaning in her mother’s arms.

Chen Ruoxuan’s mother and father were both rather angry. If they could afford to send their child to this kindergarten, did they lack that bit of money?

Uncle Lin quickly agreed and said they would definitely pay attention in the future. Then he said to Liang Jinyi, “Jinyi, hurry and apologize to your classmate Chen.”
Hearing that, Liang Jinyi let out a cold snort.
He didn’t think he needed to apologize at all. Chen Ruoxuan was the one who had tried to steal Brother from him.
But just as he was arrogantly looking out the window, a slightly deep voice sounded beside him.
“Jinyi, apologize to your classmate.”
Liang Jinyi was still wearing the little dinosaur backpack Jiang Mi had given him. His hands tightened around the backpack straps, and he carefully lifted his eyelids a little, only to see that his Jiang Mi-brother was still looking at him with a cold expression.

Chen Ruoxuan was a child who very much cared about looks. Otherwise, she wouldn’t have wanted to trade her own brother—who had a lot of money and could buy her lots of candy and toys—for Liang Jinyi’s brother.
She looked at the pretty brother in front of her and said softly, “Okay, then.”
Jiang Mi let out a slight breath of relief.
Mother Chen then reminded Jiang Mi and the others to properly discipline their child before finally leaving with the injured Chen Ruoxuan in her arms.
Seeing them leave, Liang Jinyi shuffled over to Jiang Mi’s side again and tugged at his sleeve, obediently calling, “Brother.”
Jiang Mi lowered his head and looked at Liang Jinyi, who appeared very well-behaved, and asked him whether he knew he was wrong.
Liang Jinyi obediently nodded and said he knew he was wrong.

And Jiang Mi thought of the time at his grandmother’s birthday banquet when Liang Jinyi had kicked Liu Peipei. In truth, that kick had also been very forceful. It was only because Jiang Mi had been holding Jinyi and stood up at the time, removing some of the force, that Peipei hadn’t been hurt and had only fallen to the ground.

After saying that, Jiang Mi pried open the small hand clutching his hem, turned around, and strode away.
Liang Jinyi naturally wanted to chase after him, but a six-year-old child’s speed couldn’t compare to that of a tall, long-legged teenager.
By the time he chased all the way to the school gate, his Jiang Mi-brother had already disappeared without a trace.
