Allergic To Furry Things But Can Pet Them Mentally – CH91

Chapter 91

Tang Rong smiled and said okay.

After “Xiao Rong’s Baby,” “Xiao Rong’s Tutu” did not seem like such a big deal anymore.

The fur on the little snow leopard’s tail was about to puff up into a tiny hedgehog. The tag around its neck hung loose because the size had not been adjusted, making its little head feel heavy. The little snow leopard was both angry and aggrieved.

If it had known, it would never have shown it off…

That rabbit was not even Xiao Rong’s pet, so why did it also get to have a name like that…

Why, why, why.

Tang Rong did not notice anything wrong with the little snow leopard. He very naturally lifted it into his arms, adjusted the red cord around its neck to a proper size, and stroked its fur.

The little snow leopard’s fur was always fluffy. Sometimes static would make it puff up, especially the fur on its tail. Tang Rong was already used to that.

And so, the little snow leopard sulked in Tang Rong’s arms the whole way there.

Compared to their meeting before the New Year, Bai Tu had become much more talkative. Maybe it was because they had grown more familiar, or maybe because he had matured a little. Tang Rong chatted with him the entire way without ever running out of things to say.

The little snow leopard felt even more irritable, its tail tip slapping the air in displeasure.

When the hovercar arrived at the meeting place, the little snow leopard still did not jump off Tang Rong.

Tang Rong naturally carried it out of the car, while its softened tail wrapped tightly around his wrist.

The butler followed behind them, carrying the little snow leopard’s clothes.

The meeting place they had arranged was a chain restaurant, part of the Qi family’s business. A private room had long been reserved, and the dishes had already been prepared early that morning.

Because they had gone to pick up Bai Tu, the three of them were the last to arrive.

When they got there, Luo Yue, Luo Xing, and Qi Fu were playing a puzzle game on their light-brains.

Tang Rong had also played this game with the little snow leopard on his light-brain before going to bed last night. With the little snow leopard’s tail helping him cheat, he had cleared levels very quickly and was already the farthest along among all the children.

By now they all knew that Shen Muhan was the little snow leopard. Seeing the soft little bundle in Tang Rong’s arms, they immediately crowded around.

The little snow leopard rested its head on Tang Rong’s arm, using its fur to hide the tag around its neck. It dared not show off anymore, afraid that something like “Xiao Rong’s XX” would appear again.

“So this is a spirit body?”

“So cute.”

“I really want a spirit body too.”

“Can we pet it?”

Tang Rong nodded proudly and happily.

They had already said before coming that the little snow leopard did not mind being petted by the children.

Very quickly, several little hands began gently stroking the little snow leopard’s fur.

The little snow leopard’s tail tip curled upward, but it still kept its tail wrapped tightly around Tang Rong’s wrist, declaring how close they were.

Only when it was time to eat did the little snow leopard turn back into its human form, get properly dressed, and carefully tuck the tag around its neck inside its clothes, no longer daring to let anyone see it.

Lunch was rich and delicious. Carefully selected by Qi Fu, all the children ate until their bellies were full and they even started hiccuping.

The butler quietly took note of the dishes Tang Rong and Shen Muhan ate the most of, planning to tell the cooks at home later.

After the meal, Qi Fu stood up excitedly. “I’m taking you to see something super, super cute.”

Everyone’s interest was immediately hooked, and they followed behind him into the elevator, eager to find out what this “super, super cute thing” was.

Above the restaurant was an expensive chain hotel, also part of the Qi family business.

Qi Fu entered his fingerprint with practiced ease, reached the VIP floor, and led the children to a suite at the end of the hallway, where he rang the doorbell.

A young man opened the door not long after.

The moment the door opened, the sound of a baby crying rang out too.

The man glanced at the little carrot-heads standing outside, then let his gaze settle on Qi Fu at the front.

“Xiao Fu?”

Qi Fu immediately explained, “I brought my friends to see Xiao Bao.”

“Okay, come in quickly. Xiao Bao’s crying again, and we still haven’t managed to calm her down.” The man hurried back inside.

Only after entering did the children realize that the “super, super cute thing” Qi Fu had been talking about was a little baby wrapped in a small blanket.

She really was very cute—very fair skin, double eyelids, big eyes, and her whole body was tiny.

Even when she cried, it was not noisy. Her voice was soft and thin rather than just loud wailing, making people want to comfort her.

The baby’s mother was soothing her, but it was not working very well.

“Let me do it.” The man strode over to his wife and took the baby from her arms.

“Wuwu…” Once she was in her father’s arms, the baby cried even harder.

“Oh, let me do it instead. I told you not to tease her whenever you felt like it. You make her cry, and then you can’t calm her down.”

Back in her mother’s arms, the baby’s crying weakened a little, though it did not stop completely.

The man scratched his head awkwardly. “She’s just too cute. I really couldn’t help it…”

The woman also noticed the group of little children behind him. While patting the baby’s back, she smiled softly at Qi Fu. “Xiao Fu.”

“Auntie, I brought my friends to see Xiao Bao.” Qi Fu explained again.

These two were his uncle and auntie. They did not live on the main planet and liked traveling everywhere. They had only come here because Auntie had become pregnant and kept craving dishes from the restaurant downstairs. Since the scenery around here was also nice, they simply moved into their own hotel suite upstairs and planned to leave with Xiao Bao once she was a little older.

There was a postpartum care center nearby, but the environment there was not as nice as the hotel, and the two of them did not really like the atmosphere there, so they had only hired a maternity nanny to help take care of things here.

Qi Fu came to see Xiao Bao every day after returning to the main planet.

The nanny seemed to be away on some errand today, since there was no sign of her.

The woman let her gaze pass over each of the little children. Ever since becoming a mother, she had grown even fonder of children, especially little ones as doll-like and adorable as these.

“Alright. But Xiao Bao is still crying, so we have to calm her down first.”

Qi Fu looked eager to try. “I’ll soothe little sister!”

The woman did not refuse. She handed the baby wrapped in the little blanket over to him.

Qi Fu came to see the baby every day, and the baby was familiar with him. Whenever she saw him, she usually giggled. Besides, children are naturally close to other children, so maybe he really could calm her down.

However, the result was not very good.

The baby hiccupped from crying, glanced at Qi Fu, and then started crying again.

Shen Muhan did not like children and only found them noisy. He leaned a little closer to Tang Rong and put some distance between himself and the baby.

Tang Rong’s eyes, however, suddenly lit up. “Can I try?”

He had a lot of experience soothing babies, so maybe he could calm this little baby too.

Since Qi Fu held Xiao Bao every day and often followed the maternity nanny around, his posture for holding a baby was even more skilled than theirs, so the couple trusted him to carry her.

But Tang Rong was smaller in build, and they were not familiar with him, so they were still worried he might accidentally drop the baby. Still, they did not reject his kindness. They had him sit on the sofa first, where the sofa could support some of the weight, and only then placed the baby into his arms so it would be safer.

Suddenly transferred into a stranger’s arms, the baby froze for a moment, blinking her wet, shiny eyes as she looked Tang Rong over.

Tang Rong copied the way he used to soothe the little snow leopard. He gently rocked her, patted her back, and lightly pressed his cheek against the top of her head.

The baby actually stopped crying.

Most likely Tang Rong’s healing ability was too gentle, and even on a human infant it had a subtle calming effect.

Just like back on Garbage Planet, stray little animals had always been more willing to come close to him and would not run from him the way they did from other children.

The baby’s parents both stared in surprise.

“Xiao Rong, you’re amazing!” Bai Tu said with a face full of admiration.

He himself would never dare touch a baby, afraid that he might lose control of his strength, hurt her, and make her cry even harder.

Qi Fu also nodded in agreement.

Luo Xing and Luo Yue brought over tissues to wipe the little baby’s face as she lay in Tang Rong’s arms.

Watching Tang Rong soothe the baby the same way he soothed the little snow leopard, Shen Muhan seemed somewhat silent.

After the baby stopped crying, the group of little children played with her for quite a while.

She really was a very cute little baby. She loved crawling after them across the soft mat, and she kept giggling.

When the time came, the baby’s father warmed up some milk.

Tang Rong volunteered yet again to take on the job of feeding the baby.

—He had plenty of experience feeding his baby with a bottle.

For some reason, Shen Muhan felt another trace of displeasure rising inside him as he watched this.

That displeasure faded a little after the gathering ended and they all returned home.

Tang Rong first ran upstairs and came back down with a little blanket. He spread it over the sofa, then picked up Shen Muhan—who had changed back into his little snow leopard form—and placed him on top of it. He wrapped him up carefully, swaddling him like a baby, even tucking in the tail so that only a fluffy little snow leopard head remained outside.

“Meowu?”

The little snow leopard blinked its ice-blue eyes blankly, unable for a moment to understand what Tang Rong was trying to do, but it still did not struggle.

Being wrapped up like this was actually quite comfortable…

After wrapping him up, Tang Rong held the little snow leopard in his arms the way he had held the baby that afternoon and fed him milk.

Only then did the little snow leopard react belatedly, instinctively sucking at the bottle nipple a few times.

—Xiao Rong was clearly imitating the way he had cared for the baby this afternoon, except now he was treating it like a little infant.

After feeding him, Tang Rong rubbed his cheek against the little snow leopard’s soft fur.

Humans did not have fur, so they were nowhere near as nice to nuzzle as the little snow leopard.

“My baby is still the cutest.”
