Allergic To Furry Things But Can Pet Them Mentally – CH27

Chapter 27

These photos had all been taken last night.

The little snow leopard knew that, and it had even cooperatively let itself be held in his arms while he cuddled it for the pictures.

But Shen Muhan had never expected that what Tang Rong called “super, super, super cute” would actually be him in snow leopard form.

Looking at those photos on the optical brain, Shen Muhan could feel his ears heating up again.

“Isn’t he super, super, super cute?” Tang Rong showed off the photos of the little snow leopard while also making sure to get Shen Muhan’s agreement.

After all, Shen Muhan had said yesterday that he liked little snow leopards too, and there was nothing more fun than sharing with someone who liked the same thing.

Under the desk, Shen Muhan twisted his little hands together and gave a shy Xiao Hum of agreement.

Afraid his attitude might look too cold, he quickly added, “Very cute.”

Praising himself for being cute… was really a bit embarrassing.

If before the system had only guessed that the little snow leopard and Shen Muhan might have some sort of connection, now it could confirm with one hundred percent certainty that the little snow leopard was Shen Muhan’s spirit form.

No wonder, when its host said yesterday that he liked little snow leopards, Shen Muhan had become shy to that extent.

The system had originally thought he was just the type with an easily embarrassed personality.

Who would have thought. Who would have thought.

But thinking it over now… it was actually rather amusing.

Still, no matter how much it thought about it, the system could not understand why Shen Muhan wanted to remain by its host’s side in little snow leopard form.

And both the host’s family and Shen Muhan’s family had actually agreed to it.

Strange. Far too strange.

Unfortunately, the system did not have authority high enough to investigate anything beyond family members closely connected to the host, so it could not look into other people.

Still, as long as there was no ill intent, that was enough. It was obvious that both Shen Muhan and the little snow leopard liked its host very much and got along very well with him, and its host had clearly become happier because of his appearance.

As for what was really hidden behind all of this, it could only keep observing slowly.

Tang Rong had not been showing off the little snow leopard’s photos to Shen Muhan for very long before the other children gradually gathered around too, including Bai Tu, who had just rushed into the classroom.

Tang Rong had no choice but to start over from the beginning and show all of the little snow leopard’s photos to them one by one.

“Is this Xiao Rong’s new pet?” Luo Yue asked.

“Yes, it’s a little snow leopard. His name is Baby.” Tang Rong nodded and proudly introduced his little snow leopard.

“Is he a boy or a girl?” Luo Xing asked.

“A boy,” Tang Rong answered.

Beside them, Shen Muhan once again remembered a few embarrassing scenes and lightly pressed his lips together, his eyes flickering.

Luo Xing’s eyes lit up as she looked at her sister and said, “The cat at our house is a girl. Does that mean she can have babies with Xiao Rong’s leopard?”

Shen Muhan: “…?”

Shen Muhan suspected there must be something wrong with his ears, otherwise how could he possibly have heard such a shocking sentence?

He knew it. He simply could not get along with most children his age.

And yet Tang Rong tilted his head and asked, “Can they? If they had babies, would the babies be little leopards or little cats?”

Shen Muhan: “…”

“I don’t know. Maybe half leopard and half cat,” Luo Xing said, shaking her head.

Shen Muhan could not listen anymore and interrupted, “They can’t.”

The moment he spoke, every child’s eyes turned toward him.

The system, meanwhile, was holding back laughter so hard it was close to short-circuiting.

Shen Muhan pressed his lips together and continued, “There’s reproductive isolation.”

Now every little child had a huge question mark practically hanging over their heads.

The concept of “reproductive isolation” was still way too advanced for four-year-old children.

Shen Muhan had no choice but to go on explaining what “reproductive isolation” meant.

Simply put—it meant that different species could not have babies together.

After the explanation, Shen Muhan successfully gained five pairs of admiring eyes.

“Big Brother Xiao Han knows so much. So amazing.”

What made Shen Muhan happiest was Tang Rong’s praise, which slightly soothed his poor little heart that had been battered by those appalling words just now.

What did they mean, have babies with a cat…

His mother had said that babies could only be had as an adult, and only with the person one liked the most.

He was the crown prince. The person he liked most would become the crown princess, and he would only have children with his future crown princess.

At the side, seeing that they had talked enough, Teacher Tangyuan walked over with a smile and told them to sit back in their seats obediently, then began today’s class.

On the first day, all six children had already become familiar with one another and with this kindergarten. Even Bai Tu had not cried at all today. Though he was still timid, he had improved a lot.

On the second day, Tangyuan planned to teach them something that children their age would be interested in—drawing.

They could draw whatever they wanted most. Anything at all.

Each child received a sheet of paper and a pen that could freely switch colors. The other end of the pen was an eraser that could remove any mark on the paper, which made it very convenient.

After all, in a virtual environment, anything could be created.

Once they finished drawing, there would be a presentation session. To preserve some suspense and surprise, Tangyuan adjusted the spacing between the children’s seats so that they could not see what was on each other’s paper while drawing.

The moment he got the paper and pen, Tang Rong opened his optical brain and began drawing while using the photos on it as reference.

This was his first time drawing on paper. Before, he had always drawn in dirt with a tree branch—simple suns, moons, stars, little people, and little animals. Suddenly using real paper and pen felt a little unfamiliar.

Still, it did not stop him from doing well.

He had never learned drawing properly, but back on the junk planet, he used to go to the neighbor’s house to borrow their optical brain and watch cartoons. The neighbor’s child did not always watch cartoons, though. Sometimes he was made by his parents to study, learning words, arithmetic, drawing, and so on through the optical brain. Tang Rong would sit quietly beside him and watch him study. After watching enough, he had also picked up some things. He was not a one-hundred-percent illiterate little child.

Of all those things, drawing was what he liked best.

Because drawing had no real barrier when it came to tools. Even without proper paper and pen, a drawing could still be made. As long as he wanted to draw, the dirt beneath his feet could be his paper, and his fingers could be his pen.

It was also the only form of entertainment and distraction he had had on the junk planet.

Seeing the adorable little snow leopard sketch gradually take shape on the paper, the system could not help praising him: [Host, you really have talent for drawing! Maybe in the future you’ll become a really amazing little artist! No, a great artist!]

Tang Rong curved his eyes slightly and added cute whiskers to the little snow leopard on the page, replying in his mind, “Really?”

The system said: [Really!]

It used its all-seeing perspective to glance at the drawings of the other children around them, and not one of them had drawn better than its host.

It was obvious that some of them must have had teachers specifically teach them drawing, while its host had completely figured things out on his own. To be able to reach this level really did mean he had exceptional talent.

Tang Rong was delighted by the system’s praise and continued refining the little snow leopard on the paper with reference to the photo album.

Once all the children had finished their drawings, Teacher Tangyuan invited them one by one to present them in order from left to right.

The first to present was Luo Yue. She had drawn a stick-figure little girl holding a microphone and singing, standing on a circular stage. Beside her were some simple music notes, and at the bottom of the page were lines that looked like cheering, which were probably the fans below the stage.

Luo Yue said, “This is me in the future. I’m going to become a really amazing singer.”

She then pointed at another stick figure beside the stage and explained, “This is Jiuwei, my idol.”

All the little children applauded.

Among them, Tang Rong stared at the stick-figure Jiuwei in the picture and started wondering when he should tell them that Jiuwei was actually his Third Brother.

The problem was that he had not been on the main planet very long yet and had still not met Third Brother in person. He had only seen him over video call. He did not really know him well. If the other children asked him questions about Third Brother, he would have no idea how to answer.

The system suggested: [There’ll probably be a family activity day at kindergarten. When that happens, let Third Brother join in. Even if it’s just through a video call, you can tell them then and also give them a surprise.]

Tang Rong thought the system’s suggestion was wonderful. Though he did not know what a family activity was, he still began looking forward to it.

The second to present was Luo Xing. She had drawn a girl dancing, wearing a beautiful dress, with many flower petals scattered around her.

Like her sister, what she had drawn was also her future self—a beautiful dancer.

The third to present was Qi Fu. He had drawn many plates, all of them piled with dishes of different colors and shapes. The drawing was far too rough to tell what any of them actually were, but from the “chuan”-shaped steam rising from them, one could at least tell what the theme of the drawing was.

Qi Fu immediately began introducing them one by one. “This is kung pao chicken. This is cold jellyfish salad. This is spicy rabbit head…”

Just hearing it was enough to make people start drooling.

When Bai Tu heard the words “spicy rabbit head,” his eyes immediately widened.

Fortunately, Qi Fu did not go into more detail and moved on to the names of other dishes.

Silently, Bai Tu slashed a great many points off this little chubby child’s impression score in his heart.

A “bad” child who ate rabbits!

The fourth to present was Bai Tu. He had drawn a little rabbit and lots and lots of carrots.

Bai Tu stammered and could not give much of an explanation at all. Being stared at by everyone made him even more nervous. The more nervous he became, the more he thought of the words “spicy rabbit head” from earlier, and his eyes gradually began to grow moist.

Seeing this, Tangyuan guided him into giving a simple explanation of the drawing—that little rabbits loved carrots best. Fortunately, he at least did not burst into tears.

The fifth to present was Tang Rong. He had drawn an especially lively little snow leopard biting its own tail.

Shen Muhan’s eyes instantly lit up.

The little snow leopard Xiao Rong drew was way too beautiful.

When class ended, he was definitely going to ask Xiao Rong for this drawing and keep it in his collection!

Tang Rong proudly introduced it, saying, “This is my Baby, the cutest little snow leopard in the entire world.”

After “super, super, super cute,” now came “the cutest in the whole world.”

Shen Muhan’s ears began to burn hot once again.

He quickly pawed at his hair, trying to cover a bit of his unusually heated ears, but unfortunately his hair was not long enough. At most, it covered a tiny bit, like hiding his ears while ringing a bell.

At last, it was finally Shen Muhan’s turn.

On his paper was a strange-looking long-haired “person,” with very big eyes, very long eyelashes, a very red mouth, and two blush marks on the cheeks that were applied with far too heavy a hand. The hair was slightly long, reaching the shoulders, and in the figure’s hand were several little blue flowers.

“This is…” Shen Muhan looked nervously at Tang Rong, his heart thudding wildly. “This is Xiao Rong.”

Tang Rong, who had been studying the drawing with a face full of curiosity, pressed his lips together. In disbelief, he looked at the picture several more times.

In Big Brother Xiao Han’s eyes… was he actually this ugly?!
