The Interdimensional Reseller – CH32

Duvean

Chapter 32: Duvean

Illya and Chu Feng went to visit Duvean, who, as Illya had described, really did seem distant and aloof.

Chu Feng silently sighed: The elf race really is full of beauties.

Even though Duvean looked unapproachable, his face was undeniably attractive. If he were in Chu Feng’s original world, he’d outshine all the current celebrities. No wonder humans here liked to capture elves as trophies.

That said, between the two, Illya was still the better-looking one.

“Illya, you were looking for me?” Duvean glanced at the two of them coolly, completely ignoring Chu Feng.

Illya nodded. “He wants to buy a wood carving from you.”

Duvean looked at Chu Feng and said mockingly, “Don’t human nobles prefer gold and jewels? Since when did they start liking wood carvings?”

“I’m not a human noble. Your carvings are beautiful, and I’d like to pay for one,” Chu Feng replied.

Duvean raised his head and gave Chu Feng a cold stare.

Chu Feng felt like Duvean’s gaze was sharp enough to pierce him. Being looked at like that made his heart race a bit.

“What are you offering in exchange?”

Chu Feng smiled. “Salt, candy… If you want, I can also offer gold or silver.”

Originally, he had planned to bring gold and silver here to exchange for money on the other side, but after selling the jade, he was already pretty rich. He could shift focus now—maybe even bring gold and silver back instead.

Duvean stared at him for a moment and said, “I want this…”

“Chips?” Chu Feng looked at the chips Duvean picked up and felt a bit disappointed. Even someone like him likes junk food?

Duvean looked at him. “Do you have more?”

Chu Feng nodded. “Yes, but not a lot.”

“Then make up the rest with candy,” Duvean said.

Chu Feng nodded. “No problem.”

He had brought a ton of candy this time, and though Illya said it was a bit too flashy, he still needed a way to get rid of it.

Chu Feng took off his backpack, thinking: Good thing I came prepared and brought plenty of supplies.

Since buying Duvean’s wood carvings was his first real transaction in Crescent Village, Chu Feng didn’t go cheap.

He gave Duvean a big bag of candy, two cans of chips, and a bag of bread.

Duvean accepted everything without hesitation.

Chu Feng carried back two large bags of wood carvings. Illya helped with the load and asked curiously, “These carvings… are they really useful in your world?”

“Of course.”

Anyway, he’d more than recover the cost. What he gave Duvean added up to less than 100 yuan.

Illya nodded. “A lot of people in the village carve, but none are as good as him…”

Chu Feng blinked. “Let’s take it slow. I can’t bring too many back in one go anyway.”

Illya nodded. “True.”

He secretly felt happy for Duvean. Life had been tough on him. Illya had wanted to help before, but Duvean was stubborn and didn’t like accepting charity.

Chu Feng looked at the sky. “It’s getting late. Let’s go rest.”

Illya nodded. “Yeah, time for bed.”

Chu Feng hesitated, then asked a little awkwardly, “Am I sleeping with you again?”

Illya nodded. “Yeah, Gray’s bed is too small. You’ll have to squeeze in with me.”

Chu Feng: “…” This is kinda embarrassing!

He’d lived in China for so many years and hadn’t even had a first love—and now, in this other world, he was already sharing a bed? Even if it was innocent, it still felt like a big step forward.

Illya tilted his head and looked at Chu Feng. “Back in your world, you usually slept alone, right?”

Chu Feng: “Yeah…” No doubt about it. He’d been a single dog for years. Always slept alone.

Illya shook his head and said, “If it bothers you, I can sleep on the floor.”

Chu Feng shook his head. “How could I let you sleep on the floor? If someone has to, it should be me.”

Illya looked at him and said, “My bed is actually quite big.”

Chu Feng nodded a little shyly. “I actually sleep pretty still and don’t take up much space.”
