Is a Succubus Considered a Demon? – CH36

Chapter 36

A series of light, urgent kisses landed on Ye Xiyao’s forehead, the corners of his eyes, and his flushed, delicate nose. For a brief moment, Ye Xiyao froze, seeming to give up his struggle for a fleeting instant.

But soon, he raised his hand again, blocking the kiss Xing Xu was about to place on his lips, causing it to miss its mark.

His remaining sliver of reason still warned him: the closer they became, the more likely he was to hurt Xing Xu.

Once a succubus begins feeding, they won’t stop until they’re full.

But Xing Xu only had one soul. Even though a succubus’s method of feeding wasn’t as brutal as other demons, it would still cause irreversible damage to Xing Xu.

The reason Xing Xu dared to hold him so tightly was that he knew nothing about Ye Xiyao. But Ye Xiyao couldn’t take advantage of Xing Xu’s ignorance to indulge himself.

Ye Xiyao bit his lip, the taste of blood jolting his precarious thoughts back into focus. He didn’t dare use his magic, so he pushed with all his physical strength. But Xing Xu effortlessly pinned his hands to his sides and leaned down, licking his chin with a pleading gesture.

Overreacting, Ye Xiyao turned his head, burying most of his face in the pillow.

At that moment, Ye Xiyao thought to himself that Xing Xu’s earlier words had been unnecessary. What did he mean by, “If you push me away, I’ll hold you again”? It was a joke.

Because he couldn’t even push him away!

Xing Xu’s strength was terrifying. Ye Xiyao thought that even if he used his magic, he might not be able to break free from Xing Xu’s grip.

With just two fingers, Xing Xu forcefully turned Ye Xiyao’s chin back, gently squeezing until Ye Xiyao’s moist, full lips parted slightly, revealing a damp gap. Xing Xu, more ravenous than the starving succubus before him, seized the opening and pressed in, his tongue invading without hesitation. The wet sounds of their entangled tongues filled the air, pulling strings of saliva between their lips and teeth.

At first, Ye Xiyao made muffled protests, like a kitten letting out pitiful, non-threatening whimpers when squeezed. But that didn’t soften Xing Xu’s resolve—he only kissed harder, more forcefully, until Ye Xiyao had no choice but to bite his tongue. Xing Xu laughed and let him bite, letting the taste of blood spread between their mouths.

No one knew how long it lasted, but eventually, the strength in Ye Xiyao’s resisting hands faded. He had nowhere to run. His round almond-shaped eyes gazed up at Xing Xu, just about to speak, but Xing Xu silenced him with another kiss.

But even if he had the chance to speak, Ye Xiyao wouldn’t have been able to form coherent words. Every time he opened his mouth, all that came out were gasps and broken sobs.

He thought he still had control, but his body had already made the decision for him.

What he wanted was written all over his expression, in every movement. And Xing Xu clearly understood his desires, doing everything he could to fulfill them.

Finally, Ye Xiyao gave in, responding to Xing Xu’s advances.

He thought, just one taste would be enough. Just a little taste, and he wouldn’t really devour Xing Xu.

But, as with everything, one taste led to another.

What started as a cautious flick of his tongue soon turned into something much more indulgent. He wrapped his arms around Xing Xu’s neck, deepening the kiss, devouring him for what felt like an eternity.

The demonic energy Xing Xu had suppressed in the hospital, which had been raging within the demon-slaying array, was now being drained by Ye Xiyao, consumed entirely.

Xing Xu could even clearly feel the demonic energy in his body being depleted.

Or rather, that potent, domineering power from within him was being transferred into Ye Xiyao’s hollow soul through their entangled kiss.

Xing Xu knew that Ye Xiyao was feeding on the demonic energy, so he held back from doing anything further. He wasn’t sure exactly what Ye Xiyao needed to do to “feed” and didn’t want to interrupt and cause him discomfort.

After what felt like a long time, the little succubus let out a satisfied sigh, but Xing Xu was reaching his limit.

“Is it enough?” Xing Xu murmured, his leg slipping between Ye Xiyao’s tightly clenched knees, pulling him closer. “Now that you’ve fed, isn’t it my turn?”

Xing Xu knew exactly what he was doing.

He was feeding a starving little demon with his own life force and soul. It wasn’t an exaggeration to call it a sacrifice.

But that didn’t scare him at all. In fact, he reveled in it, relishing every moment.

For the first time in his 28 years of life, Xing Xu felt like the demon-slaying array, which had nearly cost him his life, might actually be a blessing.

If it weren’t for the array, which had allowed him to suppress countless demons and accumulate so much demonic energy for Ye Xiyao to feast on, it might not be him sharing this passionate kiss with Ye Xiyao right now.

The mere thought that, by some slim chance, someone else could be in this position with Ye Xiyao filled Xing Xu with an irrational fury.

That rage made him even more reckless. He didn’t even bother undoing the remaining buttons on Ye Xiyao’s shirt, simply tearing it apart. The thin fabric shredded easily under his hands, leaving Ye Xiyao completely exposed.

As his chaotic mind suddenly cleared, Ye Xiyao blurted out in a panic, “No…”

“You can’t say no,” Xing Xu lowered his head and bit down on Ye Xiyao’s throat as if ready to punish him for saying the wrong word.

Ye Xiyao trembled all over, his hands still flailing. But instead of pushing Xing Xu away, he instinctively reached for something else on the bed—whether it was the blanket or a pillow, anything he could use to cover himself.

At first, Xing Xu didn’t know what Ye Xiyao was trying to hide until his kisses trailed down from Ye Xiyao’s collarbone and suddenly stopped.

“You can’t look!” This time, Ye Xiyao was genuinely frightened awake. He tried to cover his body, but Xing Xu quickly grabbed his wrists, forcefully pulling them apart.

Xing Xu leaned in, using his free hand to gently caress the eerie and vivid blood-red demonic markings.

Tracing them from Ye Xiyao’s lightly rising chest down to the hollow of his navel, the markings had no discernible pattern. Xing Xu tried to interpret them as veins or perhaps some disturbance within them.

It was similar to the demonic-slaying array in his palm—once it backfired, it would follow his veins, growing stronger. The denser the markings, the more severe the backlash. When the markings covered his entire body, there would be no saving him.

With this thought, Xing Xu’s expression grew serious. “What… are these?”

Ye Xiyao pressed his lips together tightly.

No matter how Xing Xu questioned him, Ye Xiyao remained silent. Xing Xu wasn’t in a hurry, though, and continued his investigation. He rubbed and pressed, trying to determine through touch whether the markings were dangerous.

Several minutes later, Xing Xu relaxed. These demonic markings didn’t seem to be anything too terrible because Ye Xiyao’s reactions were quite intriguing.

Every time Xing Xu touched the markings, Ye Xiyao’s body would tremble. Especially in the area where the markings were the most “flourishing,” lying dormant in his lower abdomen like a bud about to bloom into a vibrant rose, still shy and tightly wrapped.

Xing Xu merely brushed his fingertips over the markings, and Ye Xiyao struggled violently, reaching out of Xing Xu’s embrace to grip the edge of the bed, desperately trying to escape, only to be easily pulled back.

“This spot looks different. What’s inside?” Xing Xu pressed down with mischievous intent.

“Ah!” Ye Xiyao stared at him in shock.

The markings themselves were harmless.

They were merely the manifestation of the soul energy that the succubus had absorbed from others, finding a place to reside within Ye Xiyao.

But where the markings grew the strongest, it naturally indicated the part of the succubus’s body best suited for storing that energy.

And the place where it thrived most was, of course…

“There’s nothing,” Ye Xiyao said, feigning calm once he realized that Xing Xu wasn’t going to let him go. “It’s just… a tattoo.”

“Oh.” Xing Xu took in Ye Xiyao’s guilty expression, then, to his surprise, leaned down and kissed the markings, pretending to compliment them, “It’s a nice tattoo.”

He patiently pushed Ye Xiyao to his limit, forcing him to the brink of breaking, kissing and biting the places that left him most vulnerable. Ye Xiyao had no choice but to slap Xing Xu’s shoulders in protest, but Xing Xu merely said, “Hit softly, careful not to hurt your hands.”

“Don’t touch, don’t… It’s terrifying…” Ye Xiyao mumbled incoherently, his words a jumbled mess.

“Be good, my dear.” Xing Xu had already been holding back for a while, and after the interruption due to the markings, he paused for a couple of minutes. Now, with his desire reignited, he wasn’t about to let Ye Xiyao pour cold water over the moment, coaxing him, “If you’re scared, just hold me.”

Today, Ye Xiyao gained a new understanding of Xing Xu. He realized that Xing Xu was forceful and domineering, though his words were soft when speaking to him, there was no room for negotiation. Whatever Xing Xu said he would do, he would see it through to the end, even if tears and pleas wouldn’t sway him.

Xing Xu was indeed harsh, but Ye Xiyao couldn’t bring himself to hate him. Xing Xu filled the void within him, bringing him a sense of peace. When Ye Xiyao feared loneliness, Xing Xu kept him company, and when he regretted pushing him away, Xing Xu held him tightly once again.

In the end, Ye Xiyao really did wrap his arms around Xing Xu’s neck, finding a great sense of security in this dangerous man.

It didn’t take long for Ye Xiyao to realize that Xing Xu’s earlier restraint had been just a glimpse of his true self.

The real Xing Xu was like a violent storm, an earthquake, a tsunami, overwhelming and relentless. What Ye Xiyao thought he could handle almost shattered him beneath the chaos and darkness.

When Ye Xiyao opened his eyes again, it was already dark outside. His mind was foggy, and he had no idea how long he had spent with Xing Xu.

He drifted in and out of consciousness several times.

Each time, Ye Xiyao thought it was over, but Xing Xu’s warmth always reminded him: it was far from finished.

And once again, as he opened his eyes, it was clear—the end had yet to come.

They left the bed, which was already in complete disarray. Xing Xu picked Ye Xiyao up, and while it looked like they were both standing, Ye Xiyao’s legs were trembling, not even touching the floor.

“Awake?” Xing Xu supported him by the waist and lifted him slightly. “I was just about to take you for a bath.”

“I…” Ye Xiyao barely spoke, startled by how hoarse his voice sounded.

How did this happen…

“Rest your voice,” Xing Xu kissed him and added, “We can either bathe first and then continue, or keep going now.”

Ye Xiyao turned his head in despair. “We… still have to continue?”

Xing Xu nibbled on his ear and whispered, “This is just the beginning.”

Ye Xiyao, dazed, repeated the words, “This… just… the beginning?”

Is that even possible?

Is he even human?

Ye Xiyao glanced down at the mess beneath them and instantly felt dizzy and faint.

“Uncomfortable?” Xing Xu followed his gaze to his lower abdomen, which admittedly didn’t look good. “Hmm… you’re too thin.”

But Ye Xiyao’s face was pale and bloodless, and his expression was filled with fear.

Seeing this, Xing Xu panicked a little and quickly changed his position, wrapping Ye Xiyao in his arms. He gently comforted him, “It’s my fault. I’m sorry.”

He apologized for his roughness and aggression, but Ye Xiyao, still in shock, just curled up in his arms, clutching his stomach and shaking his head.

“Does it hurt?” Xing Xu dared not continue and gently massaged him with his hand.

“Xing Xu…” Ye Xiyao called out softly.

Xing Xu lowered his head, bringing his lips close to listen. “Hmm?”

Ye Xiyao asked, “Could this… make me pregnant?”

Xing Xu froze. “…What?”

Ye Xiyao, unaware of Xing Xu’s stunned reaction, continued to worry, “What should I do? I don’t know anything about this.”

Why hasn’t anyone given him a handbook for being a succubus?

“Does my dear want to have a baby?” Xing Xu asked hoarsely.

“No, I can’t…” Ye Xiyao shook his head vigorously, his voice trembling. “That wouldn’t be good. I don’t want a child to suffer.”

Xing Xu’s breath grew hotter. “Don’t worry, you’re a boy, you can’t get pregnant.”

“I can…” Ye Xiyao thought sadly. Succubi have that ability.

In fact, all non-human beings are inherently genderless, capable of reproducing regardless of male or female form. Succubi, however, have a harder time conceiving.

For them, human fluids are merely nourishment. Once absorbed, they disappear, so they naturally wouldn’t conceive a human child.

But that night, though Ye Xiyao seemed indulgent, he had been consciously restraining himself from absorbing too much of Xing Xu’s soul energy.

He feared that if something wasn’t fully absorbed, it might remain in his body and form into new life.

That couldn’t happen. Ye Xiyao was already suffering from divine punishment, and he didn’t want to be irresponsible like that.

“Again.” Suddenly, Ye Xiyao propped himself up, his wet eyes locking onto Xing Xu.

As long as he reconnected with Xing Xu’s soul, he could convert the fluids into energy, and Ye Xiyao would be able to cleanse everything.

“Do you know what you’re asking for?” Xing Xu’s eyes were deep and dark, filled with turbulent undercurrents. “You might not have a chance to stop.”

Ye Xiyao thought about it. Not stopping wasn’t an option either. What if he accidentally drained Xing Xu’s soul completely?

So he reached for his phone, mumbling as he unlocked it, “I’ll set a timer… ten minutes, can you manage?”

Ten minutes would be enough to clear away the residue.

Xing Xu: “…”

The phone was swiftly taken away and tossed aside. Xing Xu, his patience at its limit, scooped Ye Xiyao up, grinning fiercely. “You can try and see if I can manage.”

When Ye Xiyao woke up again, it was already the afternoon of the next day.

The sunlight pierced through the not-so-effective blackout curtains in Ye Xiyao’s home, making both of their eyelids burn from the heat.

Xing Xu woke up two minutes after Ye Xiyao.

Before falling asleep, Xing Xu carefully helped Ye Xiyao clean up. Although it was strange that… nothing that should have come out did, at least all the sweat and stickiness on his body was washed away. After finishing, he held Ye Xiyao and fell asleep.

When he opened his eyes, Xing Xu found that Ye Xiyao had already dressed, climbed out of bed, and was limping toward the kitchen.

Xing Xu sat up and was about to say something when he heard a thud.

Ye Xiyao’s legs gave out, and he collapsed to the ground.

“Baby,” Xing Xu quickly jumped out of bed and scooped Ye Xiyao up. “What do you need? I’ll get it for you.”

When Ye Xiyao saw he was awake, he froze for a moment, then suddenly took two steps back, standing across from him with a serious expression.

Xing Xu instantly felt nervous: “…”

Was this the moment Ye Xiyao was going to draw a line between them?

Or had Ye Xiyao simply forgotten everything they did together?

“I’m sorry,” Ye Xiyao suddenly said.

Xing Xu: “?”

Ye Xiyao let out a slow breath and said, “Yesterday, I lost control and did something excessive to you.”

I absorbed a lot of your energy.

Xing Xu: “??”

Ye Xiyao continued, “Are you feeling uncomfortable now? Does your body hurt?”

I must have taken a chunk out of your soul.

Xing Xu: “???”

Xing Xu was completely baffled by Ye Xiyao’s string of comments.

Why was Ye Xiyao saying everything that he should be saying?

Wasn’t it Xing Xu who should be apologizing and taking responsibility?

But then Ye Xiyao hit him with something even more unexpected.

He said, “Xing Xu, I will take responsibility for you.”

Wait.

Hold on.

Xing Xu smacked his own forehead, confirming this wasn’t a dream.

The world had truly gone mad.
