Chi Wang took the tool kit, opened it, and grabbed a wrench to dismantle the drain. After disassembling it, he shone the flashlight inside and quickly saw the ring stuck at a bend in the pipe. The position was precarious; if not careful, it could fall further down.

It was a bit tricky. Chi Wang stood up and explained the situation to Chu Qing. Without hesitation, Chu Qing pleaded, “Please try; it’s okay if you can’t get it out.”

He packed up the tools, handed them back to the waiter, and gave him a smile. “Thank you for the tools.”

Chi Wang replied earnestly, “I’m his long-lost brother of many years. We just reconnected recently.”
