Chapter 104: Because We Are a Match Made in Heaven
Time flew by, and the two months of summer vacation passed quickly.
An An was now three months old. He could roll over by himself and often made babbling sounds. His skin was becoming fairer, making his black, grape-like eyes look adorably bright and moist.
At this stage, babies are chubby and cuddly, with baby fat on their cheeks that leaves a dimple when poked. Chi Wang loved gently poking An An’s cheeks, enjoying the soft sensation.
With the new semester starting, Chi Wang had to report back to school. He felt reluctant; going to school meant that he might not see An An for an entire day.
An An was still young and carefree. When he saw Chi Wang covering his face with a pillow and then suddenly revealing it, he would grin widely.
He had no idea that his dad was leaving to attend classes. Thinking about An An’s easy going nature, Chi Wang figured that An An wouldn’t feel distressed even if his dad wasn’t around, unlike those babies on TV who wake up crying for their mothers.
Chi Wang continued to tease him. When he removed the pillow, An An would smile happily. When he covered his face, An An’s smile would fade. Once he uncovered his face again, An An would smile, making a “ya” sound from his throat—a strong and healthy voice typical of a vibrant baby.
Chi Wang then tossed the pillow aside and buried his face into An An’s arms, rubbing against him. An An laughed again, waving his tiny fists and grabbing at Chi Wang’s hair. Despite his small size, he was quite strong, making Chi Wang’s scalp tingle.
When Chi Wang pulled back, he saw that An An was clutching a few strands of his hair.
