Chapter 102: There’s a Reason He Couldn’t Become a Suggestive Streamer
From the number of photos, it was clear that Chi Wang was very popular during his middle and high school years. He was always surrounded by many people, both boys and girls, shining brightly among the crowd.
Xie Sicheng looked at each photo very carefully.
But before he could finish, An An started to fuss and cry.
An An was usually very well-behaved and not prone to crying, but when he did, it meant something was up.
Chi Wang pulled open his diaper and, sure enough, he had pooped. He quickly placed him on his knee, preparing to change him.
Xie Sicheng put down the phone and took over the task.
Chi Wang couldn’t compete with him, so he let him handle it.
An An’s cries were loud and clear, quickly attracting a few aunties who approached Chi Wang and started chatting, “Is this your child?”
Chi Wang smiled and said, “Yes, this is my son.”

An An’s crying gradually subsided. With gentle movements, Xie used wet wipes to clean his little bottom. After cleaning, he took out some baby powder and lightly patted it on. A baby’s skin is delicate, and in hot weather, even a little dampness can easily lead to rashes or prickly heat, so baby powder is essential each time.
One of the aunties said in surprise, “He’s your son? How old are you?”
Another added, “You look like you’re just in college. How come you already have a child?”
While wiping An An’s tear-streaked little face with a wet wipe, Chi Wang replied, “Yes, I’m in college. I had the baby in my spare time. So, what do you think? Cute, right?”
“He is very cute,” the auntie laughed. “It’s rare to see such a beautiful baby. The baby’s mother must be very pretty, right?”
Chi Wang said, “Hahaha, the baby doesn’t have a mother. I gave birth to him.”
Because they were strangers, Chi Wang could say this confidently.
The auntie was initially confused, “How can there be no mother?”
Chi Wang lifted his shirt, revealing his abdomen, and said to the auntie, “Look, I had a C-section. Here’s the surgical scar; there’s still a mark.”
The two aunties: “…”
Their gazes fell on Chi Wang’s abdomen. His waist was slim, showing no signs of childbirth, but there was indeed a scar—a light pink line, unmistakably a C-section scar.
Their worldviews were shaken. They looked him up and down. Chi Wang was wearing summer clothes; his chest was flat, and he had an impressive height. His hair was cut short—he looked like a real boy. “…Aren’t you a man?”
Chi Wang asserted confidently, “Yes! Technology is advanced now; men can also get pregnant!”
“What? There’s such technology?” The auntie was shocked. “Technology is this advanced now?”
Xie Sicheng: “…”
He expressionlessly put the diaper on An An, then held him in his arms. An An stopped crying, his big eyes still moist with tears, watching them chat. He put his fingers into his mouth, and Xie immediately held his little hand to prevent him from sucking his fingers. An An made some meaningless cooing sounds and put his other finger into his mouth.
Xie: “…”
He silently pulled out that hand too. The two tiny fists were wrapped in his large hands, gently restraining them to stop him from sucking his fingers.
Chi Wang continued babbling, “Yes, technology keeps advancing. Maybe in another ten or twenty years, babies won’t even need to be born by people. They’ll be grown in machines for ten months, and then they’ll be born.”
“Huh? That wouldn’t be good. Babies still need to be born by people. If machines can do it, wouldn’t people have babies whenever they want? Too many people isn’t good; it’s already hard enough to find jobs.”
Chi Wang could chat with anyone, his mouth rattling on non-stop, “True, degrees are devalued now, and it’s hard to find a job. I’m thinking of becoming a security guard after graduation, skipping fifty years of detours.”
“That won’t do either. There’s no future in being a security guard. Young man, you’re so handsome; you could become a star. My daughter watches that ‘Idol Producer’ show. I watched a bit; none of them are as good-looking as you.”
“That won’t work. I already have a son; how can I become a star? Stars aren’t allowed to date or have children.”
“Well, you don’t have to be a security guard. You could start a small business…”
They chatted about everything, from employment trends to life pressures, and even to retirement and health insurance.
Finally, one of the aunties suddenly noticed Xie and asked Chi Wang, “Is this your brother? Your brother is really handsome. Does he have a girlfriend?”
Chi Wang thought: Your intentions are obvious.
Chi Wang cheerfully said, “This is my partner.”
The aunties: “…”
They stared in disbelief, “You two are a couple?”
Chi Wang nodded, “How about it? Handsome, right?”
“…Handsome, yes, but why doesn’t he talk?”
Chi Wang turned to Xie, “Senior, say something.”
“…” Xie said, “It’s getting late; we should head back.”
Chi Wang glanced at the time; they’d been out for nearly an hour.
Chi Wang smiled at the two aunties, “Aunties, we’re heading back. Bye.”
“Oh… bye-bye.”
He put the baby’s little sun hat back on his head. Instead of putting him back in the stroller, Xie held the baby upright and started walking back.
After they left, one auntie took out her phone and called her daughter, lowering her voice as she recounted what just happened, “Yes, a boy gave birth! I saw the C-section scar myself! Don’t you think I know what a C-section scar looks like?”
After a few words, her daughter hung up on her. The auntie: “…”
Chi Wang didn’t know that he had made the auntie so exasperated that her daughter hung up on her. He kicked small stones along the roadside as he walked back, kicking one into the bushes before walking properly.
Now, Chi Wang didn’t even need to push the stroller. Xiaomi deliberately circled around, wrapping the stroller’s rear storage bar with his leash, and trotted ahead, pulling the stroller.
All Chi Wang had to do was hold Xiaomi’s leash.
After they were some distance away from the two aunties, Xie asked him, “What nonsense were you spouting to them?”
Chi Wang replied casually, “It wasn’t nonsense. Just chatting—talk about whatever comes up.”
For him, even chatting about things unrelated to him made him feel relaxed.
Xie asked, “Becoming a security guard after graduation?”
Chi Wang laughed, “How could that be? I was just making it up.”
Xie paused and asked in a low voice, “What are your plans after graduation? Are you going to job-hunt normally in the autumn recruitment, or start something on your own?”
Chi Wang became serious, “I’m planning to go all out for scholarships in my third year, intern at my brother’s company in the fourth year, and then start my own business afterwards.”
Xie asked, “Intern at your brother’s company?”
Chi Wang knew what he was thinking and grinned, “Or should I go to your company?”
Xie said somewhat reservedly, “I think that would be better.”
Chi Wang said, “I don’t think so.”
At that moment, An An started to make small noises—a precursor to crying. Xie adjusted his hold on him, gently rocking and soothing as they walked. “Why not?”
Chi Wang was rational about this, “Wouldn’t that be an office romance? Being too close isn’t necessarily good.”
Xie: “…”
He didn’t respond because Chi Wang made sense.
But he didn’t think it was appropriate for Chi Wang to go to Xiao Fu’s company either.
He changed the subject, “What field do you want to start your business in?”
Chi Wang earnestly said, “Well, I’ve thought a lot about it and feel that starting a catering company would be more stable. After all, food is the primary need of the people.”
He was studying electrical engineering to have a backup plan; he didn’t truly want to work in that field.
Xie said, “That works. When the time comes, you can write a proposal for me to review.”
Chi Wang immediately stood at attention and saluted, “No problem, sir!”
Xie: “…”
He was charmed.
Seeing that there was no one nearby in the park, he stepped forward to Chi Wang, lowered his head, and kissed his soft lips.
Chi Wang’s eyes widened. He lowered his hands, reached out to grab Xie’s shoulders, and returned the kiss.
Xiaomi found he couldn’t move forward, turned to look, and seeing the two of them together, stopped walking, sat patiently on the ground, and waited.
After the kiss ended, Xie’s cold and pleasant voice was a bit hoarse as he said, “Tonight, shall we…?”
Chi Wang felt a bit shy. Although they had done what couples do many times, he still felt embarrassed.
Even after having a baby, he was still a pure-hearted boy! (lol)
Chi Wang declared loudly, “Yes!”
Xie: “…Keep your voice down.”
Chi Wang: “Hahahahaha.”
By the time they got home, An An was already asleep in Xie’s arms. While they had been chatting, An An had put his fingers back into his mouth. It wasn’t until they got home that Xie noticed and pulled his little fingers out.
Chi Wang muttered softly, “An An is so dirty, why is he still sucking his fingers?”
As he muttered, he took wet wipes to clean An An’s hands.
An An’s fingers were still very small. After more than a month, they hadn’t grown in length—still tiny and slender, and soft. His nails grew, but Chi Wang used a small nail clipper to trim his little fingernails each time, afraid he’d scratch his own face.
Chi Wang touched his little fists and couldn’t help but lower his head to kiss them. After kissing, he reluctantly placed the baby into his small bed.
The nursery was very spacious, with wind chime toys hanging above the bed, and many toys placed nearby. But they weren’t used much for now, as the baby spent most of his time sleeping.
Chi Wang took out his phone and snapped several more photos of An An’s sleeping face. Many of them were the same scene, but he couldn’t bear to delete any of them, thinking each one was super cute.
How could there be such an adorable baby!
Just looking at the photos made Chi Wang inexplicably overjoyed.
Excitedly, he went to his computer, transferring the photos he’d taken into a USB drive.
Xie watched from the side, silently.
He genuinely felt that An An’s future photos would be at least 10 terabytes. He had already seen no less than ten nearly identical photos, all being saved by Chi Wang into the USB drive.
At night, it was the time belonging exclusively to Chi Wang and Xie.
After taking a bath, Chi Wang went to bed first. He rolled from the foot of the bed to the head, then got up to smooth out the sheets until there wasn’t a single wrinkle. Then he lifted a corner of the quilt, and as usual, slid into the bed like flowing water, exposing only half of his head. His eyes, as clear as a lake, stared at Xie entering from the doorway.
Xie still dressed conservatively, wearing blue-gray pajama shirts that covered his limbs thoroughly, with the shirt buttons done up to the very top.
He lowered his gaze, meeting Chi Wang’s eyes. His face still carried a cold and serious expression, but his eyes subtly revealed a hint of enchantment.
Xie had a handsome face, with noble features. His long, upturned phoenix eyes carried an ancient charm. When the coldness in his brows and eyes melted away, the unique allure of his eyes became prominent. When he intentionally looked at someone, it made people feel an indescribable depth of emotion and ambiguous affection.
He stood by the bed, not getting on or turning off the lights. Instead, he slowly began to unbutton his shirt in front of Chi Wang.
Chi Wang: “!”
Whenever he thought about how Xie had put on clothes tightly after his bath, and now was deliberately taking them off, he found it very amusing.
Chi Wang hid under the covers, stifling his laughter.
Xie: “…”
He remained unmoved and continued undressing.
Xie’s hands were very attractive—long fingers, broad palms, with faint blue veins on the back of his hands. His fingers were well-defined, and under the light, his cool, white skin played with gentle shadows.
As the shirt was unbuttoned halfway, Xie took off the shirt, revealing his beautifully toned muscles and jade-like, smooth body.
But the shirt wasn’t fully removed—it hung loosely around his waist, his long fingers resting lightly at his waist…
Chi Wang spoke up, “Stop dawdling. If you keep stalling, it’ll be dawn soon.”
Xie: “…”
Xie said, “This is for mood.”
Chi Wang said straightforwardly, “What’s the point of just taking off clothes? Come up quickly, and turn off the lights while you’re at it.”
Xie: “…”
Some people can’t even be suggestive streamers for a reason.
Chi Wang: “What do you know? This is called being practical!” (x)
