Chapter 113 (Extra)
Bai Nuosi and Huo Ranchuan spent an entire day on the warship. Bai Nuosi had arrived in the middle of the night, and it was already afternoon when they left.
Huo Ranchuan looked at the wounds on Bai Nuosi’s gland, gently reaching out to touch them with concern. In his sleep, Bai Nuosi shivered and muttered faintly, “Stop biting… you’ve been at it all night. Haven’t you had enough?”
Even in his half-asleep state, Bai Nuosi seemed a little tense, clearly a bit scared of Huo Ranchuan.
Huo Ranchuan wrapped him in his military coat and stroked his flushed eyes gently, murmuring, “Sorry, I’ll be gentler next time.”
He held Bai Nuosi close, recalling how he’d lost control the night before and had marked him multiple times. The last time in the cave, Bai Nuosi had barely managed with just one marking; this time, had it been three or four?
Huo Ranchuan had tried to hold back, but his patience had worn thin, and besides, Teacher Bai had agreed to be with him, making him far too excited. Even the Teng Snake, his spirit beast, had stirred in his mental sea. It would have to stay there a long time to avoid scaring his gentle Teacher Bai.
As a man who had never been in a relationship for nearly thirty years, Commander Huo could hardly contain his joy at finally finding his partner.
Carefully cradling Bai Nuosi, he stepped out of the cabin. His deputy and Mons were both waiting outside the ship and approached as soon as they saw him. “Commander, you’re finally out!”
Seeing Huo Ranchuan nearly lose control had left them shaken. Recalling the last time he had vanished with only a giant serpent for company, they were relieved this time that he hadn’t disappeared; the Empire had too many urgent matters awaiting Huo Ranchuan’s attention.
Mons asked worriedly, “Commander, is Teacher Bai all right? Should I call for Sajinna to check on him?”
Huo Ranchuan shook his head, his possessive instincts high, holding Bai Nuosi closer. “No need. I’ll take him home.”
Knowing him well, Mons and the deputy quickly stepped aside, watching Huo Ranchuan take off in his small craft.
Mons sighed, “Ah, Teacher Bai is really going to be our commander’s spouse from now on!”
The deputy nodded thoughtfully. “Who would’ve thought the future spouse of the Huo family would be an Omega?”
Starting from his high school years, Huo Ranchuan had never lacked suitors, with countless proposals for alliance. But he’d chosen no one. Due to his high mental strength, he later joined the military and became a commander. The head of the Huo family respected his wishes because of his power and never forced him.
Most thought he’d remain single. But after Teacher Bai appeared, not only were the spirit beasts smitten, but the Commander himself also fell head over heels.
Once in the craft, Huo Ranchuan set it to autopilot. From the sky came a piercing call, and he looked up to see a fierce golden eagle soaring high, with a smaller black eagle following behind.
The sleek black eagle, though still in its adolescent stage, exuded a commanding presence that rivaled even the golden eagle.
Huo Ranchuan looked up, then glanced at Bai Nuosi in his arms. “Looks like our little bird has grown up. No more cubs to bother us.”
The Rose Nursery was exclusively for the Empire’s military academy and wouldn’t take in other students. Now that this year’s students had completed their awakenings, Bai Nuosi would be able to rest—unless Huo Ranchuan assigned him any work.
Huo Ranchuan brought Bai Nuosi back to the Rose Nursery dorms. He laid him on the bed in the bedroom, and Bai Nuosi slowly opened his eyes, reaching up to touch his neck. “We’re back?”
Huo Ranchuan nodded. “How are you feeling?”
Bai Nuosi looked slightly resentful; Huo Ranchuan had bitten him really hard the previous night.
“I hope you’ll be gentler next time, or…” Bai Nuosi muttered, blushing. “Or there won’t be a next time.”
Huo Ranchuan, shirtless except for a pair of black shorts, leaned over and wrapped his arms around Bai Nuosi. “Understood. I’ll be gentle. I won’t hurt you.”
Bai Nuosi gave him a side-eye. “That’s what you said last time.”
And yet, this time had been even rougher.
Huo Ranchuan felt slightly guilty. But what could he do? He could barely control himself around Teacher Bai.
Huo Ranchuan turned over, tracing Bai Nuosi’s cheek gently. “I want to kiss you. Is that okay?”
Bai Nuosi was flustered, his face turning a deep red as he looked away. “Who asks for permission so bluntly?”
Huo Ranchuan loved seeing Bai Nuosi like this—flustered and bashful. His fair skin would flush pink when he was embarrassed, and Huo Ranchuan found it absolutely adorable.
This wasn’t their first kiss; their first had been last night. This was their second, and Bai Nuosi still wasn’t used to it, while Huo Ranchuan was also figuring things out.
During the nesting period, male beastmen crave close contact with their partners—hugs, kisses, or marking.
Bai Nuosi felt like he couldn’t breathe. Huo Ranchuan’s muscular build made him nearly immovable even when Bai Nuosi pushed him as hard as he could. With no other choice, Bai Nuosi bit him sharply.
Huo Ranchuan let him go, his voice hoarse. “Sorry, next time I’ll…”
Realizing he might not actually be able to hold back, he paused and changed the subject. “Baby, want some water?”
Bai Nuosi was speechless.
As a cub caregiver, Bai Nuosi really couldn’t get used to being called “baby.” Blushing, he replied, “Just call me Xiao Bai.”
Being called “baby” felt strange, like he was a little child; Bai Nuosi really couldn’t get used to it.
Huo Ranchuan smiled, nodding. “Xiao Bai, would you like some water?”
Bai Nuosi nodded, and Huo Ranchuan poured him a glass and also arranged a nutritional meal for him. Since last night, Bai Nuosi hadn’t really eaten or rested. After eating together, Huo Ranchuan washed up, and the two lay on the bed, holding each other and chatting.
Huo Ranchuan’s hand rested on Bai Nuosi’s gland, gently rubbing it. He wanted to bite it again, but he held back, knowing that Teacher Bai wouldn’t be able to take it right now.
Huo Ranchuan asked in a low voice, “Xiao Bai, should we maybe look up some information together?”
Neither of them knew much about this sort of thing, so it seemed useful for them as partners to learn together.
Bai Nuosi was taken aback!
