According to protocol, he was supposed to calmly guide the caller, helping him give clear details of the situation.

Yet, this caller sounded even calmer than he was. The man provided the time, place, and specifics of the incident with a proficiency that made it seem as if he’d done this countless times.

Shaking off these thoughts, Zhao Yu asked, “Alright, could I please have your name?”

There was a pause. “Just put down ‘Gossip System #10086.’”

Zhao Yu: “?”

Zhao Yu stared at his notes, a bit stunned. To be honest, this name seemed like a joke. But the caller had provided accurate details of the location and the names of those involved, explaining everything so systematically that he didn’t seem like someone who would prank call the police.

As Zhao Yu pondered this, a senior officer walked over. “What’s up?”

Zhao Yu quickly explained what had happened.

To his surprise, she immediately reported the case and dispatched officers to the scene.

Zhao Yu was shocked. “Aren’t we supposed to verify this first?”
