Chapter 100 – Extra (Honeymoon #3)
After sending Lancelot off at the airport, Guo Xingshi and Wen Yue continued their honeymoon journey.
Guo Xingshi, who had once been both broke and always busy working, rarely got the chance to travel. Even when he did make it abroad after starting his career, it was always for business. This was the first time he could enjoy a vacation without any worries.
Wen Yue had carefully planned out the entire itinerary, including all the best places to visit and ensuring that they wouldn’t be too tired. Everything was perfectly tailored to Guo Xingshi’s preferences, making the trip thoroughly relaxing and enjoyable.
Well, except for one thing… Wen Yue’s appetite in ‘that’ regard was surprisingly robust.
Initially, Wen Yue had been restrained, mindful of Guo Xingshi’s comfort. But once Guo Xingshi gradually adapted, Wen Yue’s insatiable side began to emerge.
Often, Guo Xingshi found himself coaxed into trying more adventurous things, eventually lying sprawled on the bed, exhausted, while Wen Yue, satisfied like a well-fed beast, would leisurely kiss the corners of his reddened eyes, even licking away a stray tear, as if ready to start another round at any moment.
At one point, Guo Xingshi was certain he might actually die of exhaustion.
It was, indeed, exhausting—but it was also quite enjoyable.
Overall, the honeymoon left both of them deeply satisfied.
Upon returning to China, both had to dive back into their busy schedules. Just as Guo Xingshi wrapped up his backlog of work, he received a message from Lancelot, and he smacked his forehead, realizing he’d forgotten something.
Lancelot had sent him the address of his new studio, conveniently located in Beijing.
Lancelot was impressively efficient; he had wasted no time getting started. Now that he had secured a location, he was well on his way to settling in. Guo Xingshi happily agreed to visit.
Lancelot’s new studio was situated in a villa in the Beijing suburbs, even larger than his previous studio abroad.
When Guo Xingshi arrived, Lancelot was busy unpacking. His hair was a bit of a mess, and he was surrounded by boxes and packages on the floor, looking somewhat helplessly at his things, which included all of his finished jewelry designs.
Guo Xingshi was surprised. He had assumed Lancelot was only setting up this studio as a temporary escape from Eldred, possibly traveling back and forth. But seeing all these items, it seemed like he was planning to relocate his entire career to China.
For a jewelry designer, connections were everything, and Lancelot had already built a strong network abroad. Moving his career to China essentially meant starting over.
Noticing Guo Xingshi’s curiosity, Lancelot was about to explain when someone suddenly appeared from the other room. With sandy blond hair and vivid green eyes, it was none other than Eldred.
With a sunny smile, Eldred looked at Lancelot and said, “Lancer, I’ve already cleaned the kitchen. Do you need help with anything else?”
Lancelot: “…”
Guo Xingshi: “!!!”
Immediately, Guo Xingshi called out to the system: [System! What’s going on here? Why is Eldred here?]
The system, having taken a recent break from being around due to Wen Yue’s frequent displays of affection, finally responded after some delay: [Eldred followed Lancelot to China the day after he arrived. He’s determined to win Lancelot over with sincerity.]
Guo Xingshi was stunned. [Really? Did he actually change his ways?]
After all, Eldred had always seemed proud and a bit controlling, even going so far as to imprison Lancelot at one point, effectively forcing him to flee to China.
System: [Oh, all of that was taught to him by Wen Yue.]
Gu Xingshi: “?”
System: [After Lancelot left, Eldred felt lost. He truly cared about Lancelot, but given all they’d been through, he didn’t know how to make things right. So, he sent Wen Yue a message.]
[Not only did Wen Yue help him understand things, but he also taught him how to love someone. After that, Eldred followed him back to China. At first, Lancelot avoided him, but he eventually realized that Eldred had genuinely changed. Only then did his attitude soften. Now Eldred is welcomed openly. He has deep respect for Wen Yue!]
Gu Xingshi: “…”
They were both human beings, but Gu Xingshi was left sore and exhausted every day, his legs trembling too much to even climb out of bed.
And Wen Yue? Wen Yue still had the energy to play the role of a love guru?!
The difference here was too outrageous.
The System hadn’t expected him to think along those lines and paused before saying, [Shouldn’t you be more curious why someone like Wen Yue would go out of his way to help Eldred like that?]
Gu Xingshi: […Oh.]
Why else?
Wasn’t it obvious? He was just jealous that Eldred and Lancelot got too close.
Thinking of jealousy, Gu Xingshi’s face suddenly went red.

They might’ve stumbled upon some gossip, but they’d also ended up with a little PDA.
Lancelot, unaware that Gu Xingshi had figured out the story, awkwardly added, “Eldred’s here to help…”
After he said that, he walked over to Eldred and whispered, “You should go back for now. I have plans with a friend…”
Eldred’s expression fell instantly but he nodded obediently, spreading his arms, “Could I get a goodbye hug?”
Lancelot glanced over at Gu Xingshi to make sure he wasn’t paying attention, then quickly hugged Eldred. “Alright, off you go.”
Eldred’s spirits lifted again. “Then I’ll see you tomorrow.”
After Eldred left, Lancelot let out a deep breath. Although he and Eldred weren’t officially together, he still felt oddly guilty whenever he was around Gu Xingshi.
Gu Xingshi pretended not to notice their discreet hug and continued talking to Lancelot about work as if nothing had happened.
Relaxed, Lancelot pulled him into the kitchen to make him some coffee.
Looking around the clean kitchen, Gu Xingshi remarked, “Eldred sure did a thorough job with the cleaning.”
As he prepared the coffee, Lancelot replied offhandedly, “Eldred handled all of that himself back in college, cleaning and such…”
He trailed off, realizing what he’d said.
Gu Xingshi raised an eyebrow. “You know even this much about him?”
Lancelot cleared his throat. “Well, not exactly, just some random talk…”
Seeing that Lancelot wasn’t rejecting the idea, Gu Xingshi ventured, “Are you actually interested in him?”
Lancelot ran a hand through his hair, a bit troubled. “I don’t know, but there’s a big gap between us, and I can’t fully trust it…”
“To be honest, moving the studio here was partly because of him…”
Gu Xingshi figured it was lingering unease over that incident when Eldred had imprisoned him.
Though the System had shared all Eldred had done to prove his sincerity, Gu Xingshi felt it might not be enough to sway Lancelot completely. So, he kept his thoughts to himself.
After finishing the tour of Lancelot’s studio, he went back home.
Since their marriage, he’d moved into the Wen family estate.
It was still early, and Wen Yue hadn’t returned from work.
He called Wen Yue, only to find out he was still in a meeting and likely wouldn’t be back until late.
During their honeymoon, Wen Yue had practically worn him out, so Gu Xingshi had wanted a couple of days to recover.
Now that he was back home, he found himself alone in the vast estate, and it all felt somehow… lacking.
After thinking for a moment, he decided to bring dinner to Wen Yue’s workplace.
Meanwhile, at the Wen Corporation, Wen Yue was in the middle of an intense meeting.
He wasn’t yelling, but his words were cold and blunt, striking directly at their weak points.
Everyone below remained silent.
Everyone kept their heads down, terrified of being called upon.
Sun Hongfei, attending this type of meeting at headquarters for the first time since joining, was so shaken by the intense atmosphere he couldn’t say a word.
He’d heard about President Wen’s intimidation factor before, but when he’d presented his own report, he’d thought Wen Yue was just a bit stern. There hadn’t been much more to it. At the time, he’d thought headquarters staff were exaggerating, but now that he saw Wen Yue genuinely angry, he realized just how naive he’d been.
It wasn’t that Wen Yue was naturally mild-tempered.
It was more like he had the ‘ultimate protection’: President Gu!
Sun Hongfei felt like crying.
President Gu, save us!
As if the sincerity of his plea had moved the heavens, Wen Yue’s phone suddenly chimed.
Wen Yue paused mid-sentence, then picked up his phone.
After a while, he said, “Alright, that’s it for today.” His tone had shifted from winter frost to a touch of spring warmth.
With that, Wen Yue wrapped up and left the meeting room in a hurry.
Once he’d gone, the tense atmosphere eased instantly.
One of the senior managers wiped the sweat from his brow. “I thought we were doomed today, but I didn’t expect President Wen to let us off…”
Another manager looked puzzled. “Who could have sent President Wen that message?”
Everyone speculated but couldn’t guess.
Sun Hongfei, trembling, raised his hand. “It… it must have been President Gu.”
Everyone went silent.
When Wen Yue and Gu Xingshi married, it had created quite a stir.
Some of Wen’s older executives held on to more traditional ideas and weren’t optimistic about the marriage, though they kept their complaints to themselves and never dared say anything in front of Wen Yue. Yet now, finding themselves relying on Gu Xingshi to save them was… a bit awkward.
But Sun Hongfei was thrilled.
This was fantastic! President Gu’s protection card was still effective! His career prospects looked promising!!
Meanwhile, on the other side, Wen Yue was astonished to find Gu Xingshi had brought him dinner in person.
After they finished eating, Wen Yue held him close on the couch for some conversation.
But soon enough, things started to take a different turn.
After returning to China, both had been busy with work, leaving little time for intimacy.
Being young and full of energy—and newly initiated to it—they could hardly resist.
What began as a kiss soon became more intense.
Wen Yue’s hand slid around Gu Xingshi’s waist, pulling him into the resting room.
Because Wen Yue still had an evening meeting, they didn’t go for too long, though both felt somewhat unsatisfied afterward.
Even so, Wen Yue’s mood had visibly improved, and the evening meeting was noticeably milder.
Originally, some had doubted Gu Xingshi’s influence, but now no one had anything to say.
In fact, going forward, people began timing their reports for days when Gu Xingshi was around.

Gu Xingshi also started to have fun with it, throwing in small surprises now and then.
Their lives grew more harmonious with each day.
The only downside was Wen Yue’s jealousy, which seemed to be on the intense side.
One day, the two were in the kitchen baking a cake together.
Amidst the steamy atmosphere, Gu Xingshi suddenly heard the system exclaim in shock: [Eldred and Lancelot are together!]
Gu Xingshi pushed Wen Yue back. “What’s going on?!”
System: [Didn’t Lancelot just hire a new assistant? A tall, handsome young man, who’s also a fan and greatly admires him. Lancelot seems to like him too.]
[Eldred got jealous. He’s been trying to hold back as Wen Yue advised, but if jealousy doesn’t explode in silence, it festers in madness. In the end, he couldn’t hold back…]
Gu Xingshi’s heart jumped. [Was Eldred planning on pulling that same trick, imprisoning Lancelot again?]
System: [Oh no, nothing like that. He just tied himself up and delivered himself to Lancelot.]
Gu Xingshi: [Huh?!]
This… was abstract, to say the least.
He was still caught up in the gossip when Wen Yue, whom he had pushed aside, was already frowning.
Wen Yue leaned closer, grasping Gu Xingshi’s chin. “What’s going on, sweetheart?”
Gu Xingshi responded automatically, “Little Lan actually likes this type…”
Wen Yue: “…”
Gu Xingshi only then realized what he’d said and quickly tried to explain. “I mean…”
But his words were swallowed in a fierce kiss.
It was their honeymoon all over again.
In the end, the cake they’d made went completely forgotten.
After all, Gu Xingshi had already become the dessert, thoroughly devoured by Wen Yue.
